I'm about to upgrade my main rig to a 13700k, so I'm swapping the 12700k into a more budget system that currently has a 13100f in it. This video give me some confidence that the ak400 I currently have on the i3 will hold up. I think while I'm at it though I'm going to throw a contact frame on it to help.
Deepcool do great work. The only product of theirs that I wasn't very satisifed with was their DQ1000M-3VL PSU. Great voltage stability, but it made this grinding sound (like an old hard drive). So I sent it back, they swapped it out lickety-split. Installed the new unit. The grinding continued. Swapped in a Seasonic: no grinding. Installed the Deepcool in my son's PC: grinding returned. It is the unit. 2 in a row. Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes. But overall I have had great success with their coolers.
Sounds like they used a used a cheap fan; just like EVGA did in their BQ Series for 650, 750 & 850 Watt units. All have the same 140mm fan-a sleeve bearing, "teflon". Cheap and not w/o coincidence, Rosewill sells this kind of fan. I determined it was going to be a waste of money and time, to RMA the 650W unit my son has, as they likely would just send the same fan, but new, back in the unit and in a year would be back to hearing it sound like a cross between a lawn mower and film projector. So instead, I voided the warranty by taking it apart, w/no concern as the unit itself is well built and am sure it will outlast the warranty period, and replaced the fan with a better fan. Only took some wire cutting, soldering and some heat shrink tubing. Now runs silent.
Great video! Some of your software you were using i wasnt familiar with. Could you give a list. Also, i just got the same cooler, just about to install. It would have been interesting to see another fan attached to see what impact that may have had.
This one or thermalright peerless assassin will do. I had an i7 6700k with an old aio able to absorb the hear. Get a PTM7950 as thermal pad. Overclocked to 4.6ghz without issue
It should be, I use the ak400 for my 5800x3d which is a considerably hotter chip than the 7800x3d so you'll be fine (keep in mind the am5 chips will try to hit 90c+ to hit maximum clocks so don't worry if temps are high, they are by design according to AMD)
@@obeliskt1024Hi! The AK400 is defenitly enough for a 7800x3d. Had this combo for about 4 months now and it has never gone higher than 85. I play games as the main workload. Gotta love those xd3 chips, im looking for a 5800x3d at the moment for my kids computer.
The i5 12600kf test I was looking for. Thanks for the great video

Do you think AK400 can handle an i9 10900 (no K)?
got AG400, would it be enought for a 13600kf ?
I do wonder how this performs vs the Thermaltake toughair 510 because it comes with 2 fans.

We want Scythe Kotetsu Mark 3 in the line as well!!
Thank you so much
Good Job!
AIr coolers do not slowly creep up in temp like an AIO.

Do the same with cooler master hyper 620s.
It is going for 40$ in india. So same price of ak400 & 15$ cheaper than ag620.
Can you tell me if it holds a Ryzen 9 3900 please?
this one or cooler master 612 stealth argb?
Why is the fan attached offset? 😅
Can we use cougar froza 85 on 13900k
What about the ak620?
Can I use this cooler with a 5900x?
