    I like Deepcool. I recently bought an AIO from them and though its only been in use for a week now I have liked it. If I were going back to air for a build Just based on how the company was when we bought from them I would gladly choose them again.

    I was concerned with the weight of the AK620, as it's actually more than the popular NH-D15. Now that I see the AG and AK have nearly identical performance, I'm gonna have to go for the AG620 because it's almost a half pound lighter.

    You need to practice and read the installation manual when installing these coolers. You have an open bench rig but you actually pointed the fans to intake air from the motherboard IO. Imagine building this in a PC case. Standard direction of the CPU fans is to intake from the front of the case or from the RAM modules.
    I believe you also forgot to mention the ambient temp in your room before you posted the results of your CPU temps which are so tiny to read. Bigger text size would help alot.
    The video quality is good but the audio does not appear normalized. The reviewer became soft spoken throughout the review as opposed to the intro.
    Keep up the good work.

    I have noticed something in this video and another one (I believe it was the fractal meshing 2 nano video) of yours I watched and I don’t really get it. Why put the fans on the side of the cooler where the outtake fan would be on most cases?? Usually the best position is the first fan on the right side of the cooler, right next to the ram and the other one in the middle, all pulling air from the front of the case and exhausting towards the back where the exhaust case fan is. Doing it the way in your videos just places the 2 fans (exhaust case fan and second fan on air cooler) right next to each other and has little affect, sometimes it can even be worse. Just curious as to why you place them like this??

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  Před rokem

      on the open bench like this, there is little to no difference in performance - but you are right, in smaller case there may be unwanted turbulence. Ultimately in this example we are comparing performance with exactly the same set-up so you need to be looking at the performance delta.

    Jesus Christ the focus makes me so dizzy on the colose-ups, I'm gonna throw up
    After all the meandering before showing the tests, it'd have been nice to see the coolers' performance at stock 105W, which coincides with one of the most popular CPUs over the last year - the 5800X3D. Considering how close the AG620 is to the smaller 400, it'd have been quite useful to know if one would be able to get away with the smaller one, since size dimensions are also very important for air coolers.

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  Před rokem

      Sorry for not matching the expectations. For your example I would probably say 620 would be a better choice to be safe and keep that cpu nice and cool for max boost. But if budget is really tight the smaller 400 would do well, just expect situations when cpu will be maxed out. If you are gaming in 1440p and above, then this would probably not happen

Otherwise no point in using a dual tower cooler for my current setup. The new AMD X3D CPUs are there to replace the 5800X3D and they do have a niche. The 5800X3D happened to be the best gaming CPU at the time. Lots of media overlooked that besides the regular CPU-heavy games, it was also about 40% better at some other niche CPU-bound games. The 7800X3D is a proper replacement and even better than the 5800X3D in Stellaris, Dwarf Fortress, SC2, WoW, etc...

    • @coomsicle
      @coomsicle Před rokem

      @@George_K. well nvidia gpus are better if we aren't counting performance per dollar. they have better ray tracing, dlss, etc. these things i do not care about and i stream using software encoding anyway (intel cpus from this gen are INSANE, 1080 60fps on twitch streaming from a cpu and i get no fps loss. none at all. on an i5). AMD is rapidly catching up though. if we ARE including money, then AMD is absolutely the best performance per dollar. or at least they were. this newestt gen of cards are way more expensive than they should be, and ironically the RTX 4070 TI is the best value.. but still overpriced. the days of fairly priced gpus are long gone. but CPU compettiion is in a great spot.
      the 5800x3d was misrepresented as being 'vastly superior' in a lot of ways - youi mention WoW for instance - WoW fps on the same systems (same ram, same gpu, same cooling, same psu etc) was improved on the R9 5900x for instance, which isa cheaper cpu than even the 5800x3d. at least now you can overclock... the 5800x was also found to be a better cpu when overclocked. in some games, for some reason, the influx of l3 cache was a big performance boost, such as escape from tarkov. but they were really few and far between, and it got beat in most benchmarks by cheaper ryzen 5, 7, 9 systems, and every 13th gen intel system on launch. not to mention the difference in cache memory isn't really that big between the 3d cpus andbasically all ryzen 9 cpus from the last couple years
