Believe it or not, not every woman held the same position on abortion. Moving the decision down to the state level was better in that it was moved closer to the people who could decide. People could move around or cross borders if they didn't agree with their states position on anything, or stay put if they did. Making it a federal law took away that option.

For the first time in the history of Kentucky, a member of a Grand Jury sued the Attorney General for lying in office. Daniel Cameron had claimed that "the Grand Jury unanimously ruled Breonna Taylors killing justified".
A member of the Grand Jury came out and said that was a complete lie. Because the officers were never indicted. (Only 1 officer who shot a neighboring appartment was indicted). But thats what Republicans do. *LIE!!*

Evansville Indiana, another supposedly red city ( third largest in the state) in a red state just voted for it's first female, first African American mayor by a wide margin.

The problem with polling is they haven't enter the age of Smart Phones. They're still calling people at random hoping they will pick up the phone and answer their questions. The problem with is that most people to day have cell phone and all smart phones tend to have caller id. Most people who see a phone number they don't recognize either dont take the call or they block the number out right. The few who done and do answer those calls tend to be older people who still have landlines and don't have caller ID. Since older people tend to be more conservative than Younger people that scews the polls to the right and makes those polls more or less useless.

Nobody answers strange calls since the introduction of caller ID regardless of age. In fact, most people don't think of their phone as a cell phones, but a device that connects them to social media. Who actually calls anyone anymore. We text or hit you up on social media. Pollsters need to catch up. BTW, I, nor anyone I know has ever been polled. Ever and I'm over 70.
The absolute disgrace of reducing women’s ability to make decisions about their own bodies will continue to haunt the Republicans.
The sleeper issue that the men in each party seem to overlook on the daily (albeit Dem men understand. They just don't seem to understand how powerful an issue this fundamental abridgment of human rights is.)

Andy Beshear won because he has been a great Governor for Kentucky, his campaign highlighted what all Andy has accomplished. I remember in the pandemic Andy stayed on point and did all he could to help save lives in Kentucky, he had daily press conferences to keep everyone informed about what was happening and how to protect themselves and their families. We have been very blessed to have such a good man as Governor.
Especially so since Trump put most all of the burden on Governors.
Unfortunately, some Governors didn't care about their people like Andy and thousands upon hundreds of thousands died needlessly.

He was going to be just like the last republican governor we had or worse. Governor Andy Beshear has made things better for all in Kentucky, and he keeps fighting to continue to make it better no matter how hard the republicans fight against him. I wish more Democrats had won their race in Kentucky.

Young voters came out to vote in Kentucky and denied Cameron because of how he handled the Breonna Taylor case. Wake up MAGA don't mess with young voters.
It may also be that people underestimate good people in red states. They don't want more clowns in the clown show!
They must not be voting then... been a red state for years. No women's rights.. the rich rule.
Which begs the question;Why did this state become red?
