  • Ecowagon install a SCA 194 Pano pop roof on my new T6.1 Transporter. This is part one of a build diary transforming a panel van into a high spec Campervan.
Ecowagon prefer to fit Reimo pop tops - ask Kenny from Ecowagon what’s on you mind and he will steer you in the direction best suited for your situation.

Wow,that's what you call attention to detail. Class work. Can't wait to follow the build in the magazine and the video here. Loved the last van you had,it inspired me to get my own one. Thanks.

Amazing feedback Carol, thank you! Magazines go out and its rare to have a tangible connection with a reader, hence my CZcams videos. It keeps the story alive. All the best

Where did the EPDM seal go?
Is this in place of a standard black rubber seal?

Hi Saxon, the EPDM seal is used under the spoiler rim instead of PU. SCA use PU, but it fades after time whereas EPDM doesn’t; looks better too. All the best

what you call PU is MS polymer I guess

Hi Vic. No, PU is what’s used in this case, the difference being PU is used with a primer MS is not. PU without a primer is arguably the same strength as MS.

      Thanks for your response!
Slightly surprising though, as PU sealants tend to lose elasticity over time, have poor UV resistance, shrink during curing and contain solvents, while bond strength is not superior to MS polymers. I thought PU was all but phased out, but I stand corrected.
