EXPERIENCING MANIC EPISODE-REAL TIME

- I wanted to share with viewers what a manic episode is like for me. One of my subscribers asked what mania felt like for me and when the symptoms first started and how they've played out over time. So this is me being vulnerable and sharing something that I normally don't share with others. I hope this can be relatable for some; feeling like something is relatable can be the first step for healing.
POEM - "Play the Vinyl"
play the vinyl
that's what I said
She watched him dance- a man she felt so angry with before
a man she had no right to
be free he tells her
I like to do this- she says
She lay back on the bed
short dress hiked up- tights and thighs exposed
back straight and arms at her side
he laughed at her
few minutes later I'm looking at my feet, head lowered
Hey what's wrong?
Nothing, I just feel emotional
sometimes music hits her real hard and she thinks about all the things she's done
She wants to cry
but instead she looks up at the man and she smiles
he dances
rock music bellows
all that's gone now, you know?

Thank you for sharing this vulnerable moment with us. Love the poem.
thank you elizabeth 💜
Totally relatable with the song on repeat and excessively ruminating. I tend to revel in sad songs and while listening replay the saddest parts of my life on repeat.
yes that is very common. I’m glad you found the content relatable =) that was my goal. Thanks for watching and subscribing Elle!
How are you doing? Are you still on Lamictal? Sending you hugs
yes I am! Life has been so crazy, making an update video soon. Might record today. Hope to answer any questions there. Thank you for your support!
