I think the plan is to make the public turn against non trained supes, faking being responsible and retiring them, thus giving and excuse to move into the arms industry, and also giving Victoria more political power

Uh. No. It wasn't physical pain that was making her clench her fist. It's the pain and anguish she's forced to hide while she puts on a smiling face for the public. Which is why she does it when she kisses Homelander.
@@mr.m9979 She's literally complaining to her mother about pain in her side and not wanting to perform because of it to which her mother responds with the "Pain is weakness leaving the body" line. So yeah she's clenching her fist because of the physical pain she's hiding in order to put on her show.
@@Vipre- You're misreading it. It's not physical pain. She's not in any physical pain when she's kissing Homelander yet she has the same reaction.
The "safe word" she mentionned to frenchie is "Vincent Cassel" a famous french actor who was married with Monica Bellucci. He played in a lot of famous movies (at least here in France) but also in different countries. ou probably knows him from the movie "Black swan"

Homelander is such an interesting character to watch. An all powerful being who's only acting good because he likes the feeling of being loved, not due to any sense of morality.
Like the DAY before she was ALL about being Cocaptain, even though Hughie said no, and the next day "Now I have to do it for who knows how long".. She KNEW how unstable Homelander was before
He was unstable but at least they had his reputation to stop him. Now he just has no weakness to explore
The effects of V24 aren't permanent. Edgar wouldn't let that happen. He's tested it and he said it lasts for 24 hours "give or take", since drugs don't really have an exact timer on them. But, at this point, he's moreso hungover than super-powered.

Someone pointed out how that when Annie first joined the 7 that she did something uncomfortable and unwanted with the Deep and in the scene with The Deep eating the Octopus he did something uncomfortable and unwanted like shoving an octopus in his mouth and eating it as he was rejoining the 7. I thought Homelander made him do it because he was mad at the Deep for taking the first slot with the interviewer, but maybe he did for Annie's sake maybe not.
homelander just did it because he wanted to remind deep who the real leader in the seven i think, or maybe a theory.. the wife planned the whole octopus thing with homelander

HomeLander is a sociopath. He enjoys watching people suffer in pain.
During the Starlight flashback she tells her mom that she has a pain in her side and doesn’t want to perform. Her mom basically tells her to suck it up and push through. She clenches her fist behind her back in the flashback because she is in pain but she is hiding her pain and putting on a front. Although she’s not in physical pain at the end of the episode she’s experiencing pain but knows that she can’t show it. So she uses the same method she used as a child to hide her pain.
This kinda plays into captain America even in the Rogers the musical they say that he and Thor are easy on the eyes Were Steve Rogers really genuine and spoke humble and treated women as equals this guy is like I’m handsome I’m strong I should be able to get any girl I want. And see how he got his feelings hurt when she turned him down he was like he started insulting her like you gotta be in me if you not into me you gotta be gay.
ashley had a moment of humanity last season. but this season, she seems to be on a power trip of her own. feeding homelander's ego and back to disrespecting starlight.
The supes has no training in Nicaragua except soldier boy Who is easily the most competent fighter because he’s the only one who’s ever really been the war out of the whole group

Wasn't it already mentioned Homelander wasn't born and was actually made in a lab test tube? Mallory hated Soldier Boy so I doubt she'd even be with him during the short period they were when they met
@@joseluis5055 It was said that Homelander should have been raised by a family and not in a lab surrounded by doctors. I don't think Soldier Boy and Mallory were together at all. His comments to her sounded like the misogyny of a man who had been turned down. Vought needed Soldier Boy part deux. They also needed to control Mallory. It might have been Voughts first try at controlling a parent through their superpowered kid. It would explain why she's so invested. She was invested in Butcher when she found out Homelander had abused his wife. She's invested in taking Homelander down. She's invested in taking care of that kid. She's so intensely blond and Soldier Boy is so intensely square jawed - If you put Mallory and Soldier boy in a "what would our kids look like" app - Homelander would pop out fully grown. Mallory's hatred of Vought feels familiar. It feels like vengeance.

So in the comics payback does mess up the war where Mallory is stationed But in a different way they gave away the position where is steel knight and swatto I think were spotted and then the enemy came by and started spraying everyone here it didn’t seem as bad but crimson countess does take out mallorys men As well as gunpowder shooting a lot of men as well on both sides you can clearly see the allegory to the avengers where gunpowder is Bucky Barnes the super soldiers sidekick at a young age and crimson countess here is Scarlet witch

Honestly I can appreciate that the comics inspired the show, but they're edgy teenage boy trash lmao. I tried reading a few issues and it felt like it was made by a 15 year old in the early 2000s... which is actually almost the case I think.
