Amazing work Jimmy I feel privileged just watching your vids. As an amateur wood worker I have to ask. Why did you cut the strips on top of another board starting at about 2:26?
To basically "joint" them ... I left them 1/8" wide to be able to clean the glued up edge , thank you !
+Happy Dad I thought the board underneath was serving as a makeshift "zero-clearance" insert. I think there was a tip in the Table Saw Tips video to this effect...or maybe it was the bandsaw one.

Work of art. Beautiful. Was that epoxy resin you used on the top? Is that more durable than polyurethane finishes?
Looked like two part epoxy to me. Same question.
+SyberPrepper It was definitely West System epoxy. They make a great product but it is expensive. Personally I have not had good luck using it as a finish. It builds like crazy (you can pour it on if the surface is horizontal) and self-levels, but it goes cloudy and turns yellow. If you let it cure, you can wet sand it and then cover it with one layer of varnish, and that seems to help protect it from yellowing. I think the varnish has UV inhibitors.
I appreciate the videos D, especially the ones that show the techniques you use to build your projects. would classify myself as a tinkerer and have finally gotten to the point in my life where I can afford to put together my own shop. Many of the tools I've decided to acquire were influenced partially through your channel. Keep me coming man!
I think this is your best project ever! The amount of work for this is above and beyond what I initially expected. The details along the edges and the corners were amazing and the box with the cloth was nicely done! So much work went into this project and I think you achieved something even greater than your effort. Well done!
