    This is looks pretty good. I like that it changes the drinking sensation to 'pub draught smoothness' and takes away the dullness of standard bottled beer. £129 though!? I can't justify spending that - I'd go £30 or £40

    I've had one of those for a couple of years, I was an original kickstarter backer. They are good but now I have a PD machine I don't use it very often any more. The first version was battery only, this one looks much better. You pull through warm water when you've finished to clean the pipe.

    Commenting before watching vid as I had this for Xmas 2018. Used a few times then didn't bother. Problem is not knowing how much to pour before putting tap back to do the ultrasonic head foam and then end up getting to end of the liquid and it spaffing everywhere.
    Found best way which makes head last all to bottom is rinsing inside glass with cold water and emptying before pouring into the wetted glass.

    Missus bought me a cheaper one and it's been living on top of the kitchen cupboards for about two years. Couldn't tell the difference between the machine and aggressively pouring a can, and it's just a faff opening it up every time you want a beer. Save your money and get a PerfectDraft.

    • @gray8046
      @gray8046 Před 3 lety +4

      I've used a cheaper one and I quite agree with you there was no difference, I sent it back and got a full refund, I then brought the Fizzics DraftPour and that is totally different, (like they say you get what you pay for) it actually works and you can taste the difference, it's alot smoother and tastes more like a draft beer but the tight very small bubble microfoam head it creates is the reel clencher and game changer, the mouth feel and aroma is so different, you can not get this from pouring it from a can or bottle no matter how high or what ever angle you pour it, some people say you can but they are just fooling themselves, and they are normally people that have never tried the actual Fizzics machine first hand. I think you have to be a real beer connoisseur and enthusiast to really appreciate this machine, I am not but even I can appreciate the differences.
      The Fizzics uses Sound wave technology to agitate the normal and factory carbonation of the beer, I think a bit like how a Guinness surger agitator works.

      There is a benefit over the PD though. If I pick up 4/5 different beers I can run them through this very quickly, minimal fuss. I can put through any bottle or can. The PD line up of beers is still pretty poor considering it’s been out ages.

    • @kevinor8811

      It legitimately changes the texture of the beer though. If I’m dropping 8 euro on a can I want to have its head at its best and this does make beer taste better.

  • @bigdave3959

    Hi simon,
    Ive recently purchased one of these and really impressed. If you use them with a good nucleated glass they are a really good draft pint (not sure why so many people are being negative about it).
    Do you have any tips for maintaining nucleated glasses? I bought 2 really good heinaken ones and the first use was epic, the carbonation was great and a steady stream of bubble all the way through drinking the pint. The last few times o have used them i have noticed a big reduction in bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass (although still a decent amount). I was just wondering if you have come accross this issue? Im assuming its potentially just how they have been washed/dried etc. Seems strange how its gone from a huge amount of bubbles to a slow stream in only a couple of uses?
    Cheers.

    Great review Simon thank you for doing it, you can use Tins/cans in it, the pipe will move a bit and just position the can so the pipe goes in with ease.
    This is not going to be for everyone it is a bit of a gadget, I think the price is high at the moment for what it is, but I think that will come down in time like everything new does, I have seen a company selling the same item on line for £35 but showing as out of stock, I would say watch this space if your not in any hurry to get one, and if you don't want to pay that sort of price.
