“Give the machine a bit of grace”’ ... top line that was ... made me smile
Expensive considering it’s a only a bottle at a time , might just as well poor the bottle out and save £130
Put a 750ml bottle in it
This is looks pretty good. I like that it changes the drinking sensation to 'pub draught smoothness' and takes away the dullness of standard bottled beer. £129 though!? I can't justify spending that - I'd go £30 or £40
I've had one of those for a couple of years, I was an original kickstarter backer. They are good but now I have a PD machine I don't use it very often any more. The first version was battery only, this one looks much better. You pull through warm water when you've finished to clean the pipe.
Always love your videos keep it up
Great review as always. Apparently works with cans too. Worth a try. Cheers
Commenting before watching vid as I had this for Xmas 2018. Used a few times then didn't bother. Problem is not knowing how much to pour before putting tap back to do the ultrasonic head foam and then end up getting to end of the liquid and it spaffing everywhere.
Found best way which makes head last all to bottom is rinsing inside glass with cold water and emptying before pouring into the wetted glass.
This machine is class, really does liven up ur beers and makes them taste like draught.. glad u decided to get one.. its gonna get well used !!
@@TheBierHooligan looking forward to that mate, be interesting to see how it handles ur posh beers ;)
Looks like a good product - I think the previous version was the Fizzics Waytap. Just read up and it also does cans! I’ve had the That Beer Thing! for a while and while that is good, I think this will be a good upgrade.
Hi Simon,
Great to see you finally got around to review the Fizzics machine, yes you can use cans also.
Will you use this for your beer reviews?
Many thanks
Shaun🍻
Great video watching it while drinking a beer of course
What an absolutely pointless waste of money.
Missus bought me a cheaper one and it's been living on top of the kitchen cupboards for about two years. Couldn't tell the difference between the machine and aggressively pouring a can, and it's just a faff opening it up every time you want a beer. Save your money and get a PerfectDraft.
I've used a cheaper one and I quite agree with you there was no difference, I sent it back and got a full refund, I then brought the Fizzics DraftPour and that is totally different, (like they say you get what you pay for) it actually works and you can taste the difference, it's alot smoother and tastes more like a draft beer but the tight very small bubble microfoam head it creates is the reel clencher and game changer, the mouth feel and aroma is so different, you can not get this from pouring it from a can or bottle no matter how high or what ever angle you pour it, some people say you can but they are just fooling themselves, and they are normally people that have never tried the actual Fizzics machine first hand. I think you have to be a real beer connoisseur and enthusiast to really appreciate this machine, I am not but even I can appreciate the differences.
The Fizzics uses Sound wave technology to agitate the normal and factory carbonation of the beer, I think a bit like how a Guinness surger agitator works.
There is a benefit over the PD though. If I pick up 4/5 different beers I can run them through this very quickly, minimal fuss. I can put through any bottle or can. The PD line up of beers is still pretty poor considering it’s been out ages.
seems like pouring a beer, but with a lot of extra steps
It legitimately changes the texture of the beer though. If I’m dropping 8 euro on a can I want to have its head at its best and this does make beer taste better.
Hi simon,
Ive recently purchased one of these and really impressed. If you use them with a good nucleated glass they are a really good draft pint (not sure why so many people are being negative about it).
Do you have any tips for maintaining nucleated glasses? I bought 2 really good heinaken ones and the first use was epic, the carbonation was great and a steady stream of bubble all the way through drinking the pint. The last few times o have used them i have noticed a big reduction in bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass (although still a decent amount). I was just wondering if you have come accross this issue? Im assuming its potentially just how they have been washed/dried etc. Seems strange how its gone from a huge amount of bubbles to a slow stream in only a couple of uses?
Cheers.
Great review Simon thank you for doing it, you can use Tins/cans in it, the pipe will move a bit and just position the can so the pipe goes in with ease.
This is not going to be for everyone it is a bit of a gadget, I think the price is high at the moment for what it is, but I think that will come down in time like everything new does, I have seen a company selling the same item on line for £35 but showing as out of stock, I would say watch this space if your not in any hurry to get one, and if you don't want to pay that sort of price.
Id so want to try this on vibrant forests umbral abyss...would make it so creamier!!!!
Yep I need this. For the casual beer drinker this is great. The company here in California that sold the torps for the Krups Sub Compact went out of business so I've just got it sitting unused in the closet. But at least with this i can pretty much drink anything I want off the shelf with no proprietary torps to worry about.
Try to rig it for cans. That would make for a good episode!
It looks like a cool machine to be honest. Not sure I could pay that money but would be nice to make some beers a bit smoother tbh
This is a novelty product of dubious usefulness... Might be fun for a party piece but that's it.
just received mine this morning,so far can say defo not a waste of money and got it for £90!
I just bought one too this morn thank god theres one positve comment here
Yeah lots of twats out there with no idea. Its a bit of fun and i use it occasionally when iv got a mate over and wana look like a bit of a nob-end pouring him a draft instead of out of a bottle or a can 😄 works well on bigger 660ml bottles 👍
Get one of the can openers that take the whole of the top off
The video on Amazon shows it will work with cans. That's probably why they make the space so wide to accommodate that.
The machine does work with a can
@@joshk_dj if you're asking then yes.
Halfway expected there to be an Andre The Giant/Princess Bride tie-in with this product. Missed opportunity!
That is brilliant fantastic idea !!🤙🍺 great stuff Simon
Simon you could try the ring pull tab cans of beer. Think London beer factory do them.
It's interesting but I think the novelty would wear off after a while. But maybe that's just me! It certainly seems to do the job it's intended to do.
Simon the tube moves around a lot and fits into a can no problem at all. Only size can I've not tried is the big 1000ml Faxe ones.
I have used a 95 centilitre/950 millilitre German beer can in it, worked fine so think it will take a 1000 ml can
@@gray8046 I tracked down 2 x 1L Faxe last weekend to check but haven't got round to having them. Did put a load of imperial stout through the Fizzics though.
The Faxe is the 10% stuff so hoping it's nice else that's a lot of it to drink 😳
@@TheGstar2006 Great stuff let us know if the can fits ok and what it was like put through it?
Simon will you be using this gadget to pour your drinks on Friday's Livestream??
Just seen this video today. Great review. Do you still use it? Do you think it's worth a purchase?
If you could get it to work on a 5ltr mini keg then it might be worth a look at.
does work with a can, the tube isnt fixed it has some wiggle room
This machine seems to be an answer to a problem that doesn't really exist. And you say this got backing on Dragons Den? Think of all the beer you could buy with £130!!
Cans might work if you put them a bit off center, (or using an awl to make a new opening in the middle) my bet is just on the off center positioning though.
Or for those London Beer Factory cans where the whole top comes off.
How do you clean the line in-between beers? A flush of water?
How do you clean the line in-between beers when a month apart and you forgot to clean as were pissed? New line or does it detach?
@@TheBierHooligan I look forward to that on your channel. Am sub'd already so shall wait.
Run a pint of warm water through it. Pint glass sits inside no problem as do cans so no idea why could manage that.
I use this with 500ml cans no issues at all
It handles cans fine.
Should try a Guinness original in it.. would probably be better than the nitro draught version
Works with cans as well if you read the instructions
This was on shark tank ( dragons den ) . Pls pls pls do some good stouts ..
I've got the Guinness surger it runs on similar principle .
But if you do some stout i think it'll push me into getting one..
This is great
Defeats the whole point of a draft if you ask me. Artificially creating a head at the end isn't what it's supposed to do. It has to be the first thing to prevent oxidation of the beer
Does anyone know if you can get the perfect draft and the kegs for it delivered to Ireland?
@@jackhurley1428 the Beer Gals in Portarlington sell the Phillips Perfectdraught with variety of different kegs
@@kevinlarkin9264 thank you so much, the saving starts now!
@@jackhurley1428 very tempted to get one myself after loving drinking some nice German and other beers all summer. Never thought I'd say it, but the pub has lost a lot of it's appeal for me
@14 a thank you to the Beer Gods
Would you still recommend one
Amazing machine bit pricey Simon
Poor the can into a bottle nice and slow worth a try 🍻
Drill a hole out at the back and extend the pipe so it can reach your home brew.thats the only reason I'd get one.
Fyi, it does work with a can. 😀
Nice Machine like it Just Watch a video about it you can put cans in it Nice One Cheers
So, some dude bought that for you out of his own money? Whoah!! Thinking about it, would it not be possible to pour a can through a funnel into a clean bottle, then place the bottle straight into the machine? I have some grolsch-style bottles from IKEA I could use.
It takes cans
The problem with this product is that it won’t last more than a couple of months. I bought one after the inventors were on Shark Tank.
Good idea but just too small. People won't bother as you need to change bottles or cans all the time. And for the money they can get a krups sub for the same price or pay a little more for perfect draft.
Can buy a sub with 4 torps for the same money and have a real draught PINT not a poxy bottle 🤔
If you can fit 1ltr cans or bottles in it mite be worth it so you’re getting 2 or 3 pulls each time depending on which size of glass you’re using but changing a 330ml each time would be a fucking torture.
It fits with 950ml cans, I tried. However, people are right about it's not a good idea to use it just for 330ml cans bottles. Otherwise you have to keep replacing the bottles which is a joke LoL.
Cheaper method, full your glass three quarters full, put in a stick blender for 1 second, let it settle then top up with the rest of the bottle. Seen these machines before, they're a lot of faff for one beer
Or use an aerolatte - if it makes milk frothy think what it would do to a beer.
It works with cans
Interesting machine but really what’s the point.
It’s like trying to be something your not.
I’m shore it will sell.
I don't get it. What's the point? Making money out of the desperation, that the pubs might be closed again?
It's not unique to that system Simon, I can top up my beer head on my Sub Classic 👍.
I went and picked one up after watching this and Beer Hooligans Review!! What a load of old shit!!! It’s going back today!!!
It works with cans too but all I managed to do was fuck up some good beers!!
I also found it leaves some beer in each can or bottle!!
Trust me don’t waste your time or money!!
Cans work too
Interesting. Altho doubt it's worth the money!
I don't understand what the point of this is?
Wow that is a huge waste of money, I could poor my bottles at different angles and achieve exactly the same results. Should be in the £30 range as a novelty gift.
good review thanks. but this is really useless and undermines the specialness of a good bottled beer. I don't want to think about mistreating a delicious Trapist with this “thing”. greetings from the netherlands and please keep reviewing beer.
The Bier Hooligan, I am curious about your findings and what you think about what kind of beer can be used for this. personally I think it's nice to serve a nice beer from a bottle myself.
It's a good machine but with the added inconvenience of having to insert a bottle each time and also clean the pipe out after each use, given the price for £100 more you can pick up a new perfect draft machine so imo it's over priced.
this has got to be up there with the worst of it - Juicero comes to mind
Too much hassle just to drink a bottle.
This better work out for a guiness this is thr other halves christmas present 🙈🙈🙈😂
Not tried for guiness as I usually get draft cans so would be pointless i think but imagine will work fine on the original cans as it works well with other stouts iv put in there!
@@benk373 thank you i hope it works ok
Struggling to find any difference other than the lacing! Over £100 for lacing and a head.
Pour the beer properly and you get a head
Gimmic!
And you have a milk shake that will take an hr to be drinkable
just dean no
I don't get it. What ever happened to just drinking a beer out of a bottle or can? And I doubt you can tell it's come out of a bottle rather than that machine. Pointless video Simon
A waste of £129.99 in my opinion. All that just to pour a single bottle/can? I say, the only thing that should have batteries, needs leaving in a bedroom drawer! Nothing more than a gimmick really.
So you’re paying $100+ for a freshman pour?
A bit expensive considering you can get a krupt torp machine for £99 would be good for my man cave though so Im gonna shut the fuck up and buy it 🤣🇬🇧🤝
That sort of thing will end up in the cupboard with the George foreman after one use lol
Our George foreman has been in the back of a cupboard for the last 10 years lol. Always wonder how many are in the back of cupboards in my street and across the Uk.
What is the point of this???
Pointless
A £130 battery operated sparkler, greeeeaaaat, oh wait, no, shite. £130 to achieve the same result as a £3 plastic attachment so you can pretend you're in Yorkshire!
It's a £30 novelty product at best.
Complete waste of money in my eyes. You will use it a few times then can't be bothered with the hassle. 😂
What's the point????? So funny 🤣🤣🤣
Looks cool in ur kitchen or bar but it really a useless appliance lol
Do a Can
What a waste of money, it's made a problem where there wasn't one. £130 to pour a beer you can pour yourself. It's just a gimmick.
wonder how much you were payed for this 🤣🤣 you'd have to be a fool to pay £130 for that 😅
What a load of rubbish. You must be mental to believe that’s a thing. Just open your bottle of beer and enjoy. The worlds gone mad.
One More Cast but nothing beats draft
s125ish hilarious
What genius came up with that gimmick. Waste of money.
Not real draft beer tho is it lol just because it runs it through a pipe 🤣 I'll stick to the PD 👌🏼
@@TheBierHooligan 👍 be interesting to see what you make of it mark. Is a duval going in lol 🍺
What a load of shite...why does this even exist?
Is this an April Fools product? What an absolute waste of money. This is kind of comical, actually. 👎🏼
Absolute rubbish
What an absolute waste of money.
Matt W it’s not
Aload of bollocks, just drink out the bottle or can hahaha
LOL HA HA HA ....... Another total rubbish product. Room for a beer? Ha ha ha
