How to Use the Festool Kapex Trimming Attachments on the MFT3

In this video, I share How to Use the Festool Kapex Trimming Attachments on the MFT3!! This is probably my favorite use of the Festool Kapex trimming attachments. Having enough support for wider materials on the MFT3 was always a challenge and even an inhibitor to making bigger projects. I'm so happy I picked these up a few months ago - they've certainly changed the flow of projects in my shop!

Wow that looks great. I have an MFT 3 Set and I just ordered a Kapex MFT Set. I will place them back to back in the middle of my workshop and attach one wing on each table. Thank you for the inspiration 👍🏻

If you swap over the thumb screws for a ‘Bristol Lever’ type it stops the binding on the lower slotted rail of the MFT when tightening the latch.

Can you show how you actually make a cross cut out on the extensions..

I agree with your use of the Kapex extensions on the MFT, but had you considered the MFT 1000 extension instead since it is wider and costs significantly less?

Using them on the MFT is a bonus for me. I bought them primarily for the kapex. Only on a rare occasion do I need the additional support length for the MFT
