Shibaura engine block, digger block, honed and ring gapped ..

Well we ended up taking about 0.0004, 4 10ths to clean up .... good as new and within spec .. another blocked saved :)

What honing machine are you using? I used to use a honing head and a large B&D hand drill. Worked ok but hard work. Cheers

Hi, I use a Delapena Beamstroker, makes very light work of honing blocks, you could even use it to overbore to the next size without boring first. A joy to use when you get the hang of it. Doing it by hand is really hard work !!
