Good to see that old 7200 is still alive and running. My uncle was allocated 7059 which was at Jhansi Loco shed, but built in Austria. Please save the old WP 7656 (built at Chittaranjan) that now lies abandoned at the Senior Institute Jhansi. What a sad fate for this grand old lady who hauled express trains in her day.
The Heritage Steam Engine Will south Indians get a chance to go into this type of train. I love to go into this type of train. Please Southern Railway GM do something to let Steam Engine Train to come to CHENNAI.
Once Madras Mail was used to be hauled by this type of WP goddesses. At least from Madras Central Terminus to Waltair Terminus (Vizag / Vishakhapattanam), that same Madras Mail (now Chennai Mail) can easily be restored with such a WP lady ❤❤❤❤
Pl. don't jerk the camera so much. It spoils the entertainment of viewing. At an age of 60 years this video carries me to those days when these Black Beauties hauled almost every train. The ride by those steam hauled trains is still a nostalgia to me. Living near to Kolkata I miss this. Eastern Railways should run atleast two trains - one from Howrah & another from Sealdah stations so that people can ride on them & cherish the memories of the past.
This specific steam engine ( with a designer nose 😋 ) used to be the logo of BOOST ( India's popular health drink ) way back in the 1980's. Good old days ☺
