    I can’t thank you enough for this video. It was EXACTLY what I needed. This is the route I’ll be taking. I have zero traveling experience, not even domestically. It will be my first time ever traveling and it will be to Thailand. Alone! I’ve been very anxious and had a lot of questions, and this helped reassure me of what to expect. Are there any documentation requirements during the 2.5 hour layover?

    Korean is an airline i never flew with. I saw all of their planes around the globe ( Sydney, Bangkok, Frankfurt, Zürich ) but never had the chance to fly with them.
    PS. Flights with the A 380 are always very quiet because the A 380 is a whisperliner.
    Besides it's always a pleasure to see Korean flight attendents. Beautiful type of woman.

    Flew to ICN from San Francisco in November 2019.
    SFO’s first/business class passengers usually use the British Air lounge but they were closed for remodeling so they sent me to Cathay pacific lounge.
    Was quite disappointed.
    All they had was some biscuits and some cheap wine.
    As for flight,it was great.
    I’ve flown business and first class in the past and I’ll just tell the difference between the two.
    1) My seat was 2A. When it’s time to sleep they made the bed for me at 2B with mattress.
    Business class don’t have matress.
    2) you get to keep the pajamas.
    3) I was combing my hair in my seat and a flight ran up to me with a mirror and held it for me until I finished.
    Overall, excellent service.

    Loved this review. If I was at an airport or an airplane and Bocelli's "Time to say goodbye" started, I'd start crying, most likely LOL
    On another note, it's weird that the Air France lounge was so lacking in food. The two times I was there (peak hours though) there were at least 4 attendants and 2 of them were constantly bringing in new food, even when some of the food there had been untouched. And there was no wine mixed with the champagne, there were 6 or 7 bottles of champagne, I remember downing half a bottle myself HAHA
    But really, there was food galore.

      Thanks for watching Juan! And, yes, Time to Say Goodbye was definitely an interesting choice. When you were at the AF Lounge, was it with an AF ticket? I went with Priority Pass so it was definitely off peak. With that being said, I definitely helped myself to bubbly and mezcal!

      LosGatosNYC I was surprised to hear Incheon had free showers. But was that only for lounge members? Also did your luggage get shipped all the way through to your destination from JFK? Or did you have to recheck your bags? My friend told me on the way back they had to recheck their bags. That’s annoying 🙁

    I wonder if that's the same A330 that had the crash landing.
    This is a tiring trip flying all day with a stopover in economy. People always assume that business travellers want nonstop flights for speed but in economy you're much more likely to get an uninterrupted sleep on a nonstop and you have less time to wait to get to your hotel and into bed in the first place. Nonstops are always best

    I was flying with Korea Air last July 2019, and I really love it. One thing I would like to clarify is in your video you said free shower for all connecting passengers or just because you had the priority pass so you could use this service?

    • @LosGatosNYC
      @LosGatosNYC  Před 4 lety +3

      Korean Air is great. Yes, the showers are free for all passengers transiting through Terminal 2. On both ends of the terminal and up an escalator are "Transfer Lounges" - you will find the showers and sleep rooms there. They are no cost. The other loungers (like Matina) are Priority Pass Lounges and, surprisingly, don't have shower facilities. I have a third video in the set for the return trip where I visit the Matina lounge: czcams.com/video/0Hn3ATIaqWc/video.html

    • @LosGatosNYC
      @LosGatosNYC  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi John, 45 minutes makes me a little nervous since most flights start boarding 30-minutes prior to push-back. It should be just enough for you to go gate-to-gate directly without any time to enjoy the terminal. I'd go for a 2.5 if possible - especially if there are any in-bound delays.
