  • If you have watched any our other Ninja vids, you know we love our 'toaster oven'. But it is so much more and we just upgraded from the 8-in-1 (SP101) to the new 14-in-1 (SP350) which sports dual heat, a smart thermometer, and a sear crisp tray! And of course an increase in interior height. Join me for an unboxing and a side by side comparison. This model seems to be an exclusive with QVC where we bought it, but they have released the SP351 as well which is virtually the same thing.

      Thanks. So to do casserole bakes and such we remove all trays/racks and put the wire rack on the bottom wheee the sear plate normally goes and that allows slightly more than 3.5 inches height clearance. I think the lid wouldn’t work but foil might depending on the bakeware.

    • @LenBanks
      @LenBanks  Před 2 lety

      hi, not sure about doing wings and pizza at same time. I guess if you have enough room. but on the newer models the sear pan is considerably lower than the air fryer basket. so perhaps do them tiered. But then you have juices dripping on the pizza. Maybe? As for parchment or silicon, do have links for the black silicon mats. I use them for basic baking (shown in baking cookies video), but there are times I feel parchment is best. As for legit silpat, not sure if they make a square. I guess you could cut it.

I’m concerned…will the drippings go down onto the heating elements at the bottom and it would be a mess to clean up? Was wondering if you could have the seer plate at the bottom to catch anything that drips down from the air fryer basket. Or can it be placed on the second shelf? 🤔 Will that affect cooking the chicken wings if there’s something blocking it underneath?

      Yes. I think so. The sear plate does well. I did a video on it with potatoes as well

    This damn thing can't work in the morning though. All people will be waiting for breakfasts adults, kids just waiting 10mins for preheat??? But anyway thanks

      I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to. Not sure how the time of day matters. But you are right, all the settings on the left side column take a decent while to preheat and make the sear plate ready to sizzle. But the bake, airfry, toast on the right are almost immediate. Depends on what your cooking needs are.

    why do ninja and others treat the uk like a 3rd world country??????? all we have in the uk is the 101 and there is no way on earth i am buying that now that i know there are superior models out there.
    cuisinart are the same. they have just released the toa60 toaster/airfry oven in uk. i have watched US reviews on this that are 5 years old. again no way would i buy one as its so outdated.
    do these companies think we are stupid or we dont have internet in uk (which makes them stupid). its so frustrating. wish i lived in US

      Well I am so sorry about this situation, but of course I don't know the answer. But I understand a good rant vent now and again. ;)

    Do you use the sear plate as a drip pan when you air-fry and would you use the parchment paper with it also?

    • @LenBanks
      @LenBanks  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for watching! Yes sear plate is used for drips. It’s non stick and washes easily but yes parchment helps with clean up and I do use it.
