Just cooked my first slice of pizza in mine after it was delivered today. Perfection. Great job on all these demo videos.
Thanks for the demo. I really like this model and will be replacing my Cuisinart AF Oven with this one as soon as I can get one.❤️
I hope to compare those 2 sometime fairly soon...thanks for watching Sandra!!!
John, I truly enjoy all your shows...Thanks!
Very glad to hear that Joseph... thank you for watching!!!
Hi, John!
I received Ninja’s pre-sale notice on this puppy. 😉 I have to say, I’m impressed! 👍🏻
You answered so many of my questions regarding this oven..so a BIG thank you.
I may have to get this one. One thing for sure, it would crank out plenty of biscuits 🤣
Thank you for always sharing with us🤗

Yes... with 2 levels to cook on it would be a biscuit making machine...lol... glad to hear i helped and thanks for watching!!!
Wow John thank you so much for previewing this ninja oven. I currently have for ninja appliances and I absolutely love them. This may be going on my Christmas list.
And it will make an excellent present...i really like it so far...thanks for watching!!!

Another great review John!
Thank you Jeremy... glad you enjoyed it and thank you for watching!!!
Nice unboxing, comparison, and demo. Great looking machine 👍
Thank you... and thanks for watching!!!
Now on to the pan of "Corn Bread Test". The older model oven worked great! If this oven gets close to the results of that one I'll dash out and get one. Thanks for sharing!
The other one did do cornbread good!!! Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching!!!
Thanks for a great unboxing with lots of info. I will get this Ninja oven to replace my LaGosse.
I really like it... really good size and function so far... glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!!!
I enjoy your channel! Just got this air fryer and I’m so excited to make so much food with it.
Looks like I need to save up & purchase one of these bad boys!!! I love my Ninjas!!
It is a very neat device... thanks for watching!!!
I love your videos..im going to have to buy this unit...I have ninja airfry oven and hardly use it..kids would love this new unit just for the pizza's alone..
It is very impressive so far...i had the other one too and it seems like this one is going to be a good bit more useful... glad you enjoy the videos and thanks for watching!!!
Hi John, Another awesome review and demo video. I’m shocked at that oven cooking 2 large pizzas at the same time perfectly. I’m very impressed with this new Ninja Oven. I wonder how it air fries breaded chicken. I like your ceramic ‘thumbs up’ thingamajig. Thanks for sharing.🍃🌺🍃
Thanks mzbrazell... it did do a very good job on those pizza's and I was genuinely impressed!!!.I got a feeling it would do Breaded chicken well also...i like my new thumb up too...i was very happy to run across that...thanks for watching!!!
The trick to crispy air fried breaded chicken (I use seasoned panko) is to toast the breadcrumbs first with some oil before breading the chicken. I always make a big batch of chicken cutlets this way and freeze them before cooking them. Makes chicken parmesan one of the quickest dinners to make! They cook so fast even from frozen in my ninja Foodie original oven.
That does sound like a really good idea... thanks... and thanks for watching!!
Great review!!! You’re awesome.
Thanks... and thanks for watching!!!
Love all your vidoes!!
Thank you Melissa... very glad to hear that... thank you for watching!!!
Well John, you sold me on the foodi pro last year, and I’ve been eyeing this toaster oven and you definitely sold me again. That prime rib video you did was 👌🏻. Thanks pal! Take care!
Glad to hear it...I think you are going to like the oven too!!! Thanks and thanks for watching!!!
@@JohnSanders got the model with the thermometer on Amazon used(very good) condition. Same as the foodi pro. Can’t beat the price plus a $50 birthday gift card from my mother which totaled out to be $218 and change.
That is a good deal!!
Thanks for being a good and bad influence John! 😂
Lol... no problem!!
Great review. Getting one!!!
I think you will be impressed...thanks for watching!!!
Just started watching your videos great content!
Love your videos! Thanks!!!

Thank you for an excellent informative video!
You are welcome... thank you for watching!!!
Thanks for all the tips Just bought one
Thank you John I'm going order one of these
It has been truly impressive so far...a little early to tell but I think you will be pleased with it...thanks for watching!!!
TY for shearing. I like how boath racks can be used at same time. Its like having 2 ovens at same time :)
I took back the Ninja xl grill (it kept setting the smoke alarm off) & got this instead. I love it. Mine came without the fan cover. I especially like that you can see inside and watch the food cooking.
I like the oven too!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Great review!
Thank you...and thanks for watching!!!
I have to stay away from these videos. Haha!!! My pockets won't allow me to keep up. I'm eyeing this and maybe the Foodi Pressure Cooker Pro.
And so far they seem to be 2 very good choices...thanks for watching!!!
Hi John! Thanks for an excellent video. I definitely want one but my Breville is not very old so will have to wait but really enjoyed your info.
Glad you enjoyed it... nothing wrong with the Breville either!!! Thanks for watching!!!
You have introduced me to a new bread sir 😂 thank you
Good to hear...thanks for watching!!!
This is my new favorite channel. You should get your own show.
That is really good to hear!!! Thank you and thanks for watching!!!
Thank you! Great video and funny too!
Thanks... and thanks for watching!!!
I was so impressed by the evenness of the original Ninja Oven in your earlier review, it’s really tough to be matched by this one. Those bagels looked great though. I need a new countertop oven, but the last one never showed up at Sam’s. I’m tempted to get the grill instead, though. There’s only two in my household, and I doubt I need anything this big. I love doing the little pizzas in my Foodi Pressure Air Fryer. Another fantastic review.
It is a hard decision...thanks for watching red baron !!!
I was impressed!! Thanks for watching!!
Nice unboxing Jelly 007 I just bought myself a air fryer oven by ikich and I’m learning how to operate it now.🦋🦋🦋
Not one I've heard of but air frying is very nice... thanks for watching!!!
The CRUNCH ON THAT BAGEL, I got goosebumps
Mine is out for delivery and I have bagels, can't wait to have it on my counter
I plan to get more bagels soon... I'll probably lower the setting 1 notch though... thanks for watching!!!

oh i def want one of this now !!!
It has been very impressive so far!!! Thanks for watching!!
John Sanders i was originally wanted the kitchen aid air fryer im glad they came out with this now it will match the rest of my kitchen of ninja products
I just purchased this because of Jelly007 to replace my just fine Instant Omni Plus Oven. Will go well with my new Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 Pressure Cooker Pro.
Thank you... I'm very glad to hear you trust my reviews and this will make a perfect companion for the pro!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Thanks for the info now I have to start saving my pennies!!!
I know the feeling...lol...thanks for watching!!!
Looks Fantastic... I wish Ninja would release this is Australia !
Thank you for watching!!
I just got mine yesterday and I've made several things already. It took 80 minutes to cook a small (3.5lb) chicken when the directions said it would take 50-55min for a 5lb chicken. I cooked some cubed and seasoned potatoes in the basket at the same time and the right half of the basket got done way faster than the left. Same with the chicken. And it took 15 minutes for the oven to get to 375deg. So then I made some toast according to directions. Set to lvl 4, by the end, it wasn't toasted at all so I added 3 more minutes and finally the top was done, but the bottom wasn't toasted. So then today I made frozen pizza. Two Red Baron pizzas according to directions. The right side of both pizzas got brown and the left side wasn't done. So I had to rotate them and add an additional 10 minutes. Even then, the edges were very brown, the center of both pizzas were hot-ish, but you didn't have to pull your finger away kinda hot. And the crusts were limp. Did I maybe get a defective unit? Or is this typical?
I have not had any experiences like that so it sounds like you're might have a problem...I would contact ninja...
I just preordered ninja pro oven DT251 with temp probe, should be here Oct 29th. I’m going to put it in my motor home. Love your channel (: )
Thanks Michael... glad to hear you enjoy my channel and thank you for watching!!! Can't wait to hear what you think of this oven!!! And how the thermometer does!!
John how warm does it get under the oven on a long cook do we need to put something under neath to protect our counter from worping
Not in my opinion... it does get rather hot on the outer surface but the counter does not but even barely get warm...I am cooking potatoes right now and the counter as far as I can stick my hand is barely warmed by it... hope this helps...
Even better...I just finished a 20 minute cook at 375 with baby potatoes and moved the oven so I could check the temp... no difference under the oven from the other end of my counter with my hand... infrared thermometer showed one degree difference...
Wow .I think this is the first toaster oven like this I have seen a door gasket on. I think more of them should have door gaskets. Still looking but I really like what you have shown here.On my list.
It was very impressive...thanks for watching!!!
I wish it had a Rotisserie function. I love Rotisserie chicken.
I had a oven that had it and I rarely used it... plus a lot of stuff to store... but I was surprised it didn't have it too...thanks for watching!!!
Hey John, great video. You helped me solve a big problem. I was initially going to buy the air fryer on your left, and after your video and comments am proud to say I purchased the Ninja Foodi XL Pro OVEN Air Fryer Toaster oven. I'm looking forward to cooking on it! Thanks brother John!
I think you made a good choice...I do love the other and it has served us very well with many many items cooked in it but this one has literally taken over my kitchen...I really like its design and how it functions... thanks for watching Lew and glad I helped!!!
You posted a sale for the grill and I found the smaller oven on a great sale. So far I like it. I would prefer the new bigger one, but my wife would probably kick me out if I bought it at it's current price.
Lol...i know the feeling...i have had to resort to giving my wife my older devices for her setup upstairs to get some relief...😆 thanks for watching!!!
I ordered one and it'll be here next week!
I think you will be impressed!! Thanks for watching!!!
How is it so far?
@@anthonyh2540 it's been great! I use it for a lot of meals and it really comes in handy during the holidays. The best way to decide if it's for you is to look at what and how much you cook to see if it makes sense to you. Also I keep it on my counter so make sure you have counter space if you want decide to get it.
Great answer!!!
@@dcunlimited Just picked up at Sam’s Club for $189Excited to try it
I assume you cooked the pizzas on a convection setting? If this thing can air fry multiple levels equally well, it is a real game changer
I set it to the pizza setting it has and the fans were running... it really did a good job...thanks for watching!!!
you can clean up the Guardian Service Pizza pan by putting it through the oven cleaning cycle ... then SOSing it ... I love your videos ...
I have never done anything with that pizza pan other than wash it in the sink and it always cleans up well...I love that thing!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Thank you John for the review. Just bought mine from Wal Mart for $198- plus tax.
I honestly believe that you are going to love the oven... Thanks for watching!!!
Nice
Yes it is...thanks for watching!!!
John Sanders you are the best!

Hello I truly enjoy your videos just wish I could afford all those very nice units you have cause I love to cook but I'm getting their having fun thxs get her done lol 😆
Cooking can be fun!! And I do enjoy learning these new devices...thanks for watching!!!
Would be interested to have you bake a pie and a cake in this new oven. I will have this oven in my kitchen tomorrow.
I hope to get that done before long and I have high hopes... let me know what you think of yours when you get it...thanks for watching!!!
Thanks for the video. I am trying to decide between the ninja and the breville. Which would you recommend? Can you do two pizzas in the Breville?
I hope to have a better answer for this question real soon... it is a little early though and I have never tried 2 pizzas in the Breville...thanks for watching!!!
My my oh my. These new inventions don't happen overnight. They had this out years before. They were waiting on how well the original did before they brought out this one. I'm sticking to my traditional toaster oven. No sooner you get one a newer one is on its way. Thanks for Sharing. It's nice looking but I pass.
I do get that... the air frying market has got a lot of new items...thanks for watching!!!
Hi , great reviews John. Just got the dt201 . Cooked a spatchcock with vegies on top rack insertedat 30 kin remaining time. Had to add another15 min to the preset. Veggies were somewhat dried and chicken was as good as i do it on the bbq just outside my door .. tryin' to convince myself i need this to replace my toaster over that i use every day for toast. The main reason i ended up on this unit is i can use most of my already acquired 12 muffin trays and standard pans as long as they don't have exaggerated protruding handles.
That being said , my question is do all ovens, convection or air fryer get hot as a wood stove on the outside... don' t even try setting your hand on it for over half a second. Wouhhh !!!
Oh and there seemed to be a good amount of smog in the house after 75 min of cooking chicken.
Thxs
From Montreal
Thanks for the video. Can you let us know which model this says on the actual unit? I ordered the dt201 but it didn't come with the fan shield.
When it comes to toast nothing better than a toaster.
Great demonstration and review many thanks ~ will it be available in the UK ?
I'm not sure...i hope y'all get it... it is very impressive so far... glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!!!
Mr. Sanders. Excellent video presentation per usual. i had the brevile one a while ago but sold it because i only toasted bread in it, and now im out of counter space since i bought the XL grill and dual basket thingy :)
but -- asking a technical question - can you link to the tripod you use or let me know the model number? also whats your camera? is it a galaxy series phone or something else? finally, what lights are you using for your videos? much appreciated sir.
I'll have to look when I get back home... the grill does a good job too... and i like the dual basket fryer a lot also...thanks for watching!!!
Thank you so much for review it's the first I've seen. i just wish they had added a rotisserie.
I was somewhat surprised it didn't have it... but...I have recently owned a Air fry oven with the rotisserie basket... it was the actual reason I bought it...I used it about 2 times and decided I did not like it... but I do understand others may love it so was expecting it on this... thank you for commenting and thanks for watching!!
Thank you for answering, but I wasn't referring to the baskets, I was talking about an actual spit that you roast a chicken on.
Ok... sorry about that and that would be a good idea in something this size
I love it this is a real good cooking Gadget I want one for sure trying to decide between the two the one came out last year at this one. But I wanted to ask you did they deliver it to you in the Ninja box? Or did they have another box over it I just do NOT like for people to see what I am getting delivered lol.
It was in brown cardboard box...i think it said Ninja on it but no pictures...thanks for watching!!!
@@JohnSanders thank you keep doing some more cooking with that Gadget got to watch your other video when I get done cooking
If you order anything on Amazon that shows on outside of package what it is, they give you the option for outer box.
So my question is, I was wondering if you would recommend the smaller NAF or the larger 1, if I wanted to cook steak on that bottom roastinh pan. I do realize if I wanted to rose a chicken I wouldn't need a larger 1. But I'm not sure I would roast a chicken anymore, but I might want to it just tastes better.
Also this is the 2nd video review I've seen of this air fryer. And I'm wondering if my regular oven convection of a combo does some of the same things. If so I wouldn't need one of these, but if not I would definitely get 1 of these and let the other go.
I just got my xl air oven two days ago. I tried two level air frying using the airfry basket and the roast rack to make roasted potatoes in the fry basket and chicken boneless fritters on the roast rack, I must say that roast rack is not good for air frying. The chicken also got stuck to it, the results were - potatoes were excellent while chicken was ok. I also had a hard time cleaning the roast rack even after soaking it. I noticed you mentioning about using a second air fryer basket for 2 level air frying. I was thinking of doing the same. Thank you so much for the video.
I hope to try the 2 level coming soon... i would like to have a serving air fry basket and i may order one...i think it would help in several recipes... glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!!!
John Sanders I ordered the 2nd airfry basket for the xl air oven. My kids love chicken and fish snacks, with your expertise could you plz show how to air fryer popcorn chicken and kfc or chic fil a style chicken strips plz. I am mostly looking for your time and temperature settings that could work to make these.
I will be doing that... hopefully soon... thank you and thanks for watching!!!
John Sanders The second airfryer basket for the xl oven got delivered yesterday. I made chicken lollipops (using drumettes shaped inti lollipops) and battered fries using 2 level airfrying and they were too good.it’s more than worth getting the second fryer basket. I wish to share some pics with you but CZcams doesn’t allow. I shared them on the ninja official Facebook group.
I ordered one yesterday... that sounds like a really good recipe you did... you can join my Facebook if you would like...

Thanks for the video John, another great one! I was curious how the crust turned out? I have noticed in my original oven that the bottom of the crust does not get as crunchy as I would like.
The crust was very good...I was very impressed with what it did...thanks for watching!!!
@@JohnSanders , thanks
yeah I just got the DT201 and cooked the frozen pizza at the Pizza's Box recommended time and temperature, I used the 3rd level rack on the wire rack and the bottom of the crust close near the middle wasn't done but the topped looked overcooked and I cooked a thin crust pizza, the time and temp recommended by Ninja would have been way to low and short they recommended 400 degrees at 15 minutes while the pizza box says 425 at 18-20 minutes, maybe I should try a lower temperature for a longer period next time
Hi, how long would you say the power cord is? Want to make sure it will reach to a outlet further up on a wall. Thanks
It is 36 inches long... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
Hi, again! Would you do the baking function (if it is not too much trouble), please? 1 (or even better) 2 9x2 (or even better) 9x3 round baking pans with cake mix in them?
I am not sure when I will get around to baking a cake although I'm sure I will... however...it will easily fit the pans you mention... hope this helps and thank you for watching!!!
Hi John, love watching your videos. You always give such great information. I am thinking about buying the smaller version. Did you do an unboxing/review of that one? I can't seem to find it one in your history. I am interested to know how the heating element works (for cleaning purposes) as this is something you normally go into.
Not sure which one you are referring to... all the models of this oven are the same size...
@@JohnSanders I am referring to the Ninja Foodie 8 in 1 Flip Mini Oven
Sorry about that...I guess I read over that part... but I have several videos on that oven I have linked the unboxing video below...

@@JohnSanders yes this is the one I was after! Thank you. It's only just come out in the UK so I guess I had to go a little further back in your videos to find this. Thanks again :-)
Thanks for responding because I really appreciate your input. I have been thinking about one of those in pizza ovens but they all seem a bit pricey. Let me know if you do any fresh pizzas yourself
Will do... thanks for watching!!!
Yessss
I'm interested in the airfryer function, could you demo that please? Enjoyed this. Will look out for it in Ireland.
I hope to have several videos out soon... glad you enjoyed the video... and i hope to visit Ireland one day!! thanks for watching!!!
Hi John. This is Michael Yoo from Nalley Lexus!
How are you doing Michael... I'm out in my highlander doing some grocery shopping right now!!
i bought a car from nalley back in 2011 when i lived in atl...
I'll take the old one if you don't want it anymore 🤣
Lol...i think Babydoll has her eye on that for what is becoming a Air frying mecca upstairs...thanks for watching
Hi John,
I'm a big fan of your videos. I just bought one of these ovens yesterday and like it alot. I wanted to ask your opinion is is worth getting Ninja grill also? Seems like it is easier to clean the grill than the oven for doing steaks and grill type cooking.
It has some advantages but I don't use it as often as I would like but my wife uses it fairly often...
I currently have the ninja and 100 the small oven without dehydrator, I love it but its hard to clean and you can not get a deep cake pan in it. Right now on prime day I can get pro dt 201 for 219.00 do you really like yours or do 6ou like a different one better
I am looking to get one of these ovens did you find out what the pan coatings are ? great videos
Looking at the Instant Pot Vortex Pro or the Foodi XL Pro. I like the idea of the rotisserie in the Vortex, but the Foodi seems to have a bit more room and potentially better racks. Like Katie, looking for your thoughts since you own, well, every device ever made. Lol.
I think that this oven is by far the best oven on the market for this amount of money... it can do many items and does them very well imho... thanks for watching!!!
Wow it doe's look really nice and a good size.
Hi. I had to return the other Ninja because it was too wide to fit on my small counter. Looking at the front of the unit, is it 17.5” from left to right and 20” from front to back? TIA.
Yes...a little narrower that the original... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
John Sanders , Thank you!
hi, I'm interested if there is an option to turn off the fan please, some cakes/cookies don't bear fan
I just picked up the ‘Smart’ DT251 model..... couldn’t be happier.
Good to hear...I think you will be very impressed!!! Thanks for watching!!!
@@JohnSanders Do you plan on reviewing this model? The smart thermometer is a game changer for folks like myself with little to no cooking experience.
Not sure yet...I really like the wireless set up...
What documentation is included with the new oven? I received a black-and-white get started the brochure and a small recipe book. What else should I have found if anything. Thank you and have a wonderful day
Hi John, and thanks again for another great unboxing and review video. Very well done! I have been in the market for a convection oven so that I don’t have to use my regular oven. I had just recently seen your Breville Smart Oven Air Toaster review and was almost ready to purchase one when you came out with this video of the Ninja….I’m a huge fan of my Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker/Air Crisper, etc. I’m wondering if you’ve had time to consider the differences and pros and cons of the Breville and Foodi. I’d love to hear your thoughts. I think the Breville is a bit larger….I think it says you can do a 14 lb turkey, whereas the Foodi says it can do a 12 lb turkey…Thanks in advance for your thoughts. I think the Breville is also almost $100 more expensive...Thanks, my friend....I always appreciate your input....
It is a little early to tell...i do love the Breville and have used it a lot over the years... the Ninja is not as wide and I think that is good ... i hope to do a comparison on the 2 before long... my wall oven has not got much use lately and I think it will soon be even less... hope this helps until I can provide better info... thanks for watching Warren!!
@@JohnSanders Thanks very much for your quick response....I will hold off on a purchase until I see your comparison..(I'm not in a rush, and seeing your review is definitely worth the wait). Thanks again for all you do...Cheers, my friend!!!
Hi I’ve been enjoying all of your videos on the Ninjin food XL Pro. I’m just wondering can I get rid of my microwave and with this product do you both like heat up my coffee
I don't think so...I still use mine for some things...thanks for watching!!!
I don’t mean to be obnoxious or anything of the sort, but where did you get the splatter shield that goes on the fan? I have the DT201 and it doesn’t come with one.
I think there must be 2 versions... you are not the first the mention this... hopefully they will put some explanation on their website...thanks for watching!!!
Come on over and teach me how to use mine lol. Just purchased the same one.
Wrap some aluminum foil around the bagle for 2to3 minutes to soften them up before or after u put on the spread if they happen to get to crunchy.
Good idea... I'll try that!!! Thanks and thank you for watching!!!
Probably not going to cook large things and don't have much counter space...so would you still recommend the one that flips up?
Nothing wrong with that one is just small... it cooks fine but no chickens, turkeys etc...thanks for watching!!!
Hi, me again! Wondering what side of the unit back (as you are looking at the front) the power cord is located?
I will look later today when I get home...
It's on the right side. I wish they'd placed it on the left side (looking from the front of the oven) or at least in the center. The cord is about 2" short of reaching the outlet I wanted to use with the oven on my cart, not my countertop. Not sure if I'm going to keep it because anywhere else that I would have to place the cart is not convenient and is basically in the dining room area instead of my kitchen. It's such a nice oven.
@@cindymaddux3507 Thanks so much!!!
@@MalteseMom333 You're very welcome!
So I am not sure if my oven is the problem or my pizza. When I cook jacks it seems to finish around the same time yours did in your videos but digorno I feel like stays in there over 30 mins. Maybe closer to 40.. Have you tried digorno in the oven? What time and temp worked for you if you have.
I have not tried one of those yet... it does have a thicker crust so maybe I'll try one before long and try to get temps and times down...thanks for watching!!!

I just got this. I found it odd that the lightbulb on the device is exposed. But there are tabs around the light opening as if it's supposed to be a cover attached. Did you get a cover on yours? I did not, and I don't see anything on the manual about it.
Mine has a cover... it doesn't stick out or anything though just s clear lense that is flush with the wall... but it is there for sure...I checked both models I have ... hope this helps and thanks for watching...
