- I just need to say this... THANK YOU
First of all I just want to offer a massive heartfelt thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and sent me such supportive messages… it has touched me beyond belief and really given me my drive back to succeed!
I'm also deeply touched by the generosity of those who have offered donations. Your willingness to help a stranger in need has truly humbled me. However, I must humbly decline any further donations. My initial goal was to raise enough for a full tank of diesel to keep me going, and your kindness has surpassed that expectation beyond anything I could have expected. My tank is now full, and I am so, beyond, incredibly grateful for your support.
It is ultimately my fault I am in this situation, and I should have saved money in my savings to be better prepared for this sort of knock, rather than thinking this would never happen to me. Any extra money you have so kindly shared will go to one side and will be invested back in the channel and any other way I can think of to give back to this awesome community.

Best bit of advice given to me when I was a youngster just starting to work, was from my aunty. She told me to always have an emergency fund of at least 3 months wages (easier said than done these days I know), but it’s always stood me well. It’s saved me a few times when I lost my job over the years. It gives you enough time to get your head together and look for another job. Have a fab Christmas and look after yourself! X

So glad to hear it mate. I had a first phone call interview with a new place yesterday, supposed to be 20 mins, ended up being 2 hours 40 mins, so I think that's a good sign. 😂
So glad that the support has lifted your spirits and given you some breathing space. Wind down with family time for Christmas if you can and hopefully the new year will change for the better. Life can change on an instant for anyone, it did for me when I was told that I will be homeless, just after I had sold my van. A lucky break happened at the last moment, so I have a place to live.

it just goes to show it is good to open up and to talk, having gone through difficulites myself, i have had people helping me in so many ways, as you say it really reduces the pressure and gives you a breather, talking is better than drink and drugs too.

Unfortunately savings are a necessity these days. You need to learn to budget. It can be tough but it can be a lifesaver at times. People call them sinking funds. I don't consider them savings. I just put away for the things know I will need. Don't wait until you are older like me to have to learn to budget. Glad to see you much more upbeat. I hope you have a great Xmas and things will pick up for you after the holidays.
Having that little bit of financial breathing space can make a huge difference to your stress levels and your mental health. Just knowing the basics can be paid for is often all that matters. Congrats. Onwards and upwards. Stay strong and warm!!!!!
