Damn, you're so good at roaming! I keep trying to get better but when I end up against anyone with decent skill, they crush me.
It takes a lot of deaths to gain experience, I die a lot while playing diff builds but I don’t care I keep going that’s the only way to improve, I have fun that way not staying in the comfort zone with easy builds, the constant learning new stuff it is what keeps me in gw2 otherwise I would be playing another game
@@JenPlaysGG maybe that's the key, I need to invest more and try getting comfortable with different builds. I also think movement, surviving and kiting is so much more important than pure damage. Do you just basically pick random targets or do you duel?

the three points of roaming are: 1- burst/opportunist 2- awareness/kiting 3- self sustain/mobility.
So yea basically you need to master these things, while not always you can have a burst build, you can still create the opportunity by knowning your enemies weakness or using terrain at your advantage, thats how awareness and kiting is related, and how self sustain and mobility too. I do not make duels unless theres nothing else or if I'm testing a build, I fight anybody that is on my path, even if I know the enemy is running a counter build to me I will fight anyway because thats also experience to me. Sometimes I even engage when I am outnumbered because I want to test my limits. I come from old school MMOs where dying was more punishing, like even losing levels, so in GW2 dying cost nothing so might as well just use it to learn, fight, respawn and go again. I know some people have some very cringe ego about dying but not my case lol. Besides your own experience you need to learn what the other classes do, most of the times I react or even predict what they going to do cuz I play all the builds my self. @@JenPlaysGG okay thank you! That's a lot of information but it makes sense. I've played MMO's since WoW/EQ too, and I agree, death isn't nearly as punishing in this game. I'm actually in your discord already, so thank you for offering to chat about it! I've played every profession but not all in PvP or WvW but I'll hit you up in discord!

Untamed is really techy to play!
I sometimes run a similar build and I think it is really fun to play, especially when you hit the combo just right. Very punishing though when you miss an input.
Yes I think you only play this if you have fun with challenges because most of the other specs are braindead and still as effective like willbender or vindicator lol but I have plans to make a condi untamed next we will see xD
@@JenPlaysGG I may have been the first person to create a hybrid trapper build with untamed. It’s actually incredibly fun and functions well in both roaming and blobs in the right hands xD -Pred
@@predatoriagw2 Hybrid Trapper Hammer Shortbow with Mad King Runes (to take 50s off the CD of Forests Fortification straight up), Fervent Force, Quick Draw was the 1st build I made with Untamed. Lots of fun! Sometimes I'll drop Hammer for S/Wh or use Teq Runes.
I run this with pack runes but seeing as untamed already has plenty of burst I might invest in durability again! Does it help much when kiting or trading? I find I can't get away from the enemy quickly enpugh when they are good at chasing me after my burst.
Yea Durability all the way, the free prot is always good, and even the free resistance allow you dodge with immob, I did a mix with marauder but you can still do full zerk durability
it might be hard, but it looks like alot of fun to play! lol

For open world pve should be fine yes, maybe not so good for soloing bosses, but I will make a way more OP build for that soon.
