@@graceworks3697I only know how to make lacto fermented lemonade, but that would be interesting to look into! I wonder if the benefits of populating healthy gut bacteria would outweigh the small amount of dairy that would be consumed? I do know that many people that cannot tolerate conventional daily often find that they can have some quality yogurt. Great question!

@@kellyjobloedel thank you for your thoughtful response. I actually have a dairy allergy--- so I'm not sure how it would affect me. I will look into this. I like the idea of a fermented lemonade, and I've just recently started fermenting kraut and I've started making sourdough at the beginning of the year. God bless you.

I make my own yogurt so I strained the whey from it but it looks very milky compared to yours. Would it still be okay to use? Also, should I look for any signs that it has fermented properly, ie foamy or fizzy? Thanks

Hi Emma! I've read that whey can often be cloudy, and that it doesn't mean it's "bad". Sometimes mine is more cloudy than other times, BUT I'm not an expert, so I'd recommend researching it yourself to be sure. My lemonade has a little more "kick" to it (tart/tangy). I haven't noticed as much fizz, but I wonder if you would if you fermented it longer?!? Have fun 🙂!

@@kellyjobloedel Okay. Thank you. I have researched it and it is fine to use if it is cloudy and would still be beneficial for fermenting. Can’t wait to try it out. 😊
