The last game of the NGUU series, here we have NGUU 3! This hack is a combination of updated levels from NGUU 1, 2, 1+2, R, and Arcade Edition! (With a bunch of Adventure levels in the mix) This hack is actually really good, and it does give memories of some of the old bad stages that are now good.

What I love about this pack is how solidly standard the levels are. Perfectly captures the essence of the first two games. And uses the reflective surfaces in Arctic finally!
This hack is probably one of my favorites right now. It doesn’t do anything revolutionary, but not all hacks need to. It’s just a lot of fun to play, except for Pentagram I actually hate that stage.
Literally summed up my opinion on this hack ;)

Videos like this prove how easily possible it would be for them to make a new Monkey Ball in the 2020s in the style of the original two games. The franchise never needed to move away from this style of level design.
Hopefully Banana Mani will do very well and we’ll see exactly that.
I wish they would do that. Or come out with a monkeyball maker like mario maker. But I'd really love it to be for the gamecube
Some of these levels look like they're from SMB Touch & Roll. Neat.
I like this level set. It doesn't try to do anything fancy, but it really captures the style and great level design of the original games.
You can really tell how much NGUU has improved over the years. I remember when a lot of stuff seemed mediocre, it's pretty amazing seeing all the stuff done now.

Can never judge a fan project too harshly but I feel like a lot of the original levels had a design philosophy of a difficulty ramp, or at the very least variations of an idea within the same level; while a smattering of levels here have that, there are also too many missed opportunities for some interesting design!
For example E41 Peaks is just "do the exact same thing three times" and it's just crying out for some variation-gradually steeper peaks, gradually thinner platforms, gradually shorter run distance to gather momentum, platforms that are slightly higher than the previous one, etc.-literally just one of these would have made for a much more interesting level!
Still one of the best hacks out there though!
Having Bad Boons Base in Expert extra feels weird.
This is pretty cool stage design. Hopefully I’m not too early.
These levels are very creative
Some stages are really similar to the normal stages. Thin bridge = wide bridge world one Revolve= Polar World 6 and a lot more
I'd say about 60% of the levels are lightly inspired by existing stages, 20% heavily inspired and about 5% are copied directly
Sombrero is an awfully good stage
Isn’t 30 the same as the bonus stage in master from SMB:BS?
