Transformed by Tangaroa | Harlem Ratapu | Episode 6, Season 2

In this episode, we meet Harlem Ratapu, from Rogue NZ, for a kōrero on his family's beautiful iwi land near Gisborne. He is a spear fisherman, bee keeper, and amateur film maker who is setting a good example for our young ones. Harlem talks about how aggression in relationships was the norm for him while growing up. This led to fighting at school as a way to deal with conflict, anger in relationships, and being numb to the world around him. His grandfather, Mitchell Ratapu, would take him out into the bush for a weeks at a time, which introduced him to the greatest teacher of them all - nature! It was Tangaroa who would teach him how to let go.
