Je me souviens quand j'ai vu ce clip après le décès de ma mère du cancer, j'en ai pleurer le son l'interpretation les paroles c'etait vraiment dingue. Je connaisais deja la chanson avant son décès et la toute première fois que je l'ai entendu cette chanson m'a mise mal à l'aise car elle est vraiment belle mais dark à la fois. Le son du debut j'en ai la chaire de poule,c'etait un sentiment vraiment particulier mais de voir le clip c'etait 10milles fois pire surtout dans les circonstances. Elle reste une de mes chansons de Stromae préférée malgré tout

Yes it’s perfection. The entire Montreal concert is on CZcams w English subtitles, which only give you surface translation of course, not all his brilliant word play, but the whole thing is magnificence.
I’m kind of late in life with going to concerts. I was like plus 20 when going to my first one, which was Racine Carrés and honestly I dunno if I’ll ever get a better concert experience
Word game with « Cancer » and « Quand c’est? » « when it’s happening? » he is minimalistic and he speaks soo clearly and sharp and direct to Cancer as this Thing would be the Evil one. He’s not hiding behind a strength or a supernatural power. He stay human and humble in front of this big « system » which is crushing lifes on and on …. Bravo et à continuer comme cela. Art is the escape plan of human being, creating instead of destructing.

I'm not sure if you've ever seen the video of Stromae's hit "Formidable" that was recorded with one or two hidden cameras on a busy square in the centre of Brussels, one morning of a grey working day... Everybody in the video, even the policemen who recognised him from his music and his appearances on stage, was blissfully unaware of the fact that this was recorded on camera and that he was acting, and not at all totally drunk or having a hangover after drowning his broken heart with way too much alcohol that night...

Yeah the translation is tricky with this one. The Quand c'est is a play-on-words, or rather, a on the sound of the words. What he sais is actually : when is, when is... Which sounds like "cancer" a little bit in French. It's quite clever. But then again, Stromae is a genius, so... 😉

Stromae always play with words in all of his songs, it’s is why he is known for his musics! Other songs really good by him are “Papaoutai”, a made up word rhyming with ”Daddy where are you in French”, “Formidable”, “Tous les mêmes”, “Carmen”, “Ta fête”
By the way the name Stromae is the word Maestro but said in reverse, it was intentional of him for that name he had chose! It’s spoken Stro-maye without speaking the e at the end, the e at the end is muted!
