This breaks my heart...she was such a cute little girl!! Everyone needs to be vigilant with their child!! Even though your area may be safe, anything can happen. My mom would walk with me when I was a young girl and I thank her for that. I was almost kidnapped one time when I was at a park. I don't even remember what happened, but my mom saw a couple drop me off on the side of the street. Luckily, I was ok! Lord, please keep all of our children safe 🙏

I honestly don't let my boys play in our own front yard for this same reason, I go outside with them to play in our OWN gated backyard, I can't trust the world we live in, too many monsters out there 😔😔😔
We are the same. Our son is the same age as her and we are yes helicopter parents. Sorry but def not letting him walk home alone and this is why. Lot of scary vicious people out there. They arrested a juvenile in this case already. Very sickening.
It was her 14 year old cousin. So keep in mind that other children even the ones possibly in your neighborhood sadly you must also be suspicious of around our angels.

A 10 year old was allowed to ride her bike ALONE in a very woodsy area??? Where was her parents? Very sad that the parents poor judgment resulted in the young girl to be harmed.
