- 'Presenting' or 'lining' is very much part of Gaelic Culture. The presenter sings the line, the congregation sings the line after him. This is the first time it has been part of the remembrance service at Culloden. For more about Culloden Battlefield ttp://www.explore-inverness.com/what-to-do/attractions/culloden-battlefield/
Thank you for sharing all this with us James. You worked hard on Saturday.

Tha seo miorbhallach math! Mòran taing!
Do you know which Psalm they were singing? Who was the precentor?
Not sure of either but the tune is Kilmarnock
Psalm 103:1-2
I remember going to Culloden Moor in the late 1970s. It is a deeply moving place and the Battlefield should be left well alone as a War Grave. Following the Battle of Culloden Scotland and England became United. If there was one single place in the whole of Scotland which is sacrosanct it is this place. (Remembering my late friend NEEM in ardua tendit, a proud Scot)
United!! Untrue
@@douggeorge2178 What is untrue? The fact that the Scots were defeated again at Culloden in April 1746?
Some way or another, Gaelic psalm sining doesn't belong here. It's part of the Presbyterian tradition. Most Presbyterians were not supporters of the Jacobites. They were firmly - and thankfully, in my opinion - on the other side.
True enough: plenty Gaels on the government side too
that sort of talk is the reason why Scotland is in a bad place, right now and the government forces treated the highlanders like dogs that needed to be put down and killed their women and child for being a Highlander
