There's a lot of carnal thinking among this group and a huge lack of accountability. Loretta is right about people not transgressing her boundaries, but she's absolutely wrong when it comes to people questioning their pastor. They have every right to question leaders. Sin separates us from God, so if you're pastoring AND fornicating AND having children out of wedlock...ALL WHILE IN THE PULPIT, that is extremely problematic. Any such a pastor is spiritually immature and has to hold himself accountable because his sin affects not only him, but his ministry to his congregation. We have to stop labeling accountability as judgment. The church is called to lead the way in our society, but we can't do that if we can't even lead ourselves. We are as human and flawed as anyone else, BUT we have a Savior who loves us and is with us; and will help us through all of our issues. We have to be humble & honest about our flaws and areas of struggle. We cannot defend the indefensible in service of our egos.

I have followed Bishop Noel Jones ever since he took the reins of Bishop McMurray waaay back when. He baptized me when I was I believe 8 or 9 years old. Some people have asked me why is my heart so good and I can honestly say that ONE of the reasons was listening to this man every Sunday (At 8 o’ clock, 11 o’ clock AND 6 o’ clock service) he taught me how to be accountable, respect, speak eloquently, and a realistic servant. I am forever grateful. I haven’t been to church in almost 6 years but when I do, I know where I’ll be going.

Loretta showed desperation in dealing with Noel for all of those years while he still was doing his thing. Not always Godly.
