Schmier just might be the best and most unique thrash vocalist in my opinion. He doesn't 'go through the motions' when singing live, rather just completey embodies all of these classics with every ounce of passion for it. This sounds so good and with all of the old members too!
He's one of the few singers like Blitz from Overkill to still keep his voice intact while screaming harshly, I think his break from Destruction helped massively with that too.
I wouldn't have wanted to be the next act on the stage after this amazing set

You were a little earlier than I was. I checked these guys out in late August of 2014. Never looked back since. Destruction are most definitely the German thrash masters.
Os caras são sobreviventes e mandam bem desde o final dos 80's, quando adquiri Total Disaster(puta álbum) e Mad Butcher. Hoje, com a possibilidade de postar vídeos com boa qualidade no CZcams várias bandas estão sendo redescobertas pela molecada mais nova. Destruction é uma delas. Talvez seja a primeira banda alemã a fazer um relativo sucesso aqui na América do Sul.
Antes que falem do Accept - outra banda muito foda e que na época de Total Disaster, já tinha em seu currículo sucessos como Princess of Down, Fast as a Shark e Balls to the Wall - e também já era uma banda(alemã) consolidada no mundo do rock, o Destruction, em minha opinião levou vantagem junto, principalmente, ao público brasileiro, por ter, naquela época, vindo muito ao Brasil. Lembro que um dos primeiros shows dos caras aqui fora em 1989 e, se não me engano, foi trazido por uma loja da "Galeria do Rock" em São Paulo. Agora, não me perguntem qual foi a loja porque a quantidade de Heinekeim alojada no meu cérebro simplesmente me impede de lembrar destes detalhes. De qualquer maneira, fica o registro.

I can't believe how perfect band is Destruction in live concerts. This is purest masterpiece. I love Sodom, Kreator, Exodus, Slayer and many more thrash bands but non of them can compare to DESTRUCTION live. Really. DESTRUCTION owns all bands
I saw Destruction back in the 1980s in Milwaukee Wisconsin USA at a small venue during the Release from Agony tour. I was right up against the stage. They had just released their live album, and the show was pretty much the same. They were so good I could not even believe it. To this day after hundreds of metal shows, Destruction is simply one of the best if not the best thrash band in the world. I wish they would come to the United States more often. I dearly miss them.

Wow, incredible setlist. The three best songs off of Eternal Devastation, two underrated gems from Sentence of Death, and pretty much the whole a-side of The Antichrist. Add Dictators of Cruelty and this is a damn near-perfect setlist.
agreed great one. personally it's missing my favorite song, Black Mass, but it's still a great selection. More times than not, setlists let me down. Would've been cool as hell if they'd thrown on The Damned plasmatics cover as an encore
