Flying against a headwind is difficult, requires a LOT of fuel, STRENGTH, DETERMINATION. Like the duck my suegra saw in a hurricane, sometimes all of the effort just keeps you in one place, even moving backward, but FORTITUDE and PERSEVERENCE will succeed in time. Every storm fades into blue skys eventually.

White Harvard chose a Black Person of voluntary migration not as a coincidence but for the same reason Congolese Joy Reid is the first prime time Black female anchor. Some Black people will have a problem with me pointing this out even though I disparaged neither for their accomplishments. They won’t however have a problem with the slaver institutions refusing to include those that built the institutions with their hands and dedicated 400 years of service to the country. Instead of helping to demand inclusion for ADOS Americans, those offended will tell us to shut up, even though they come from the middle to upper class of their mother’s birth country- pretending class interests may have no conflicting principles in relation to Black Liberation. Still we don’t flee and we welcome all in the diaspora and all not, to partake in the American Dream. We’ll catch up! But don’t say we didn’t ask for allies. The Black Electorate is ADOS and not Harvard immigrants.

In those countries we fought similar but different battles and won at different times and won different victories and lost different battles. This isn’t offensive to point out or “self hating”. It’s just facts. Also some of these countries are now majority Black while others are not, so still we have different battles. We’re still one diaspora. Like I said this fails the test of America living up to its promise to Black Americans.
