- Hi everyone! If you are new to the channel, my name is Kyle and I make MTG content.
This was a brand new mic setup I used and there were a few audio issues, mostly plosives. The audio quality has improved even more in my most recent filming sessions.

I don't know how the algorithm knew I'd love your channel, but I'm damn happy I'm here. I just thought I should leave a comment after watching a few videos to say what's probably already been said, which is that you deserve way, way more subscribers for the effort and quality that you put in. City on Fire! I have also been trying some battles with ovika because they're easy to flip. She is such a versatile commander.

Fun list and always interesting to see what others are doing. I struggle to maintain a landfall deck myself due to constant tutoring/shuffling/triggers that make turns super long, which may not create the best play experience for everyone. Went with Jolrael as a land animator theme and have had way more fun.
Appreciate your deck techs! Specifically when you mention building pitfalls as very few content creators mention them. Look forward to 2024 and dig the new set!
Really appreciate the compliment. I am just starting to build an azorius lands matter deck and I will probably make a video once I've had the chance to test it so I know it isn't hot garbage.

Oh yes. Sefris was a deck I built >1 year ago, so she didn't make it. She is definitely powerful, but her turns take soo long with all of the dungeon triggers. I break her out less and less. (Between my opponents getting smothered by the esper control and the turn length they tend to not like it.) 😂 who knew??
I've recently built a Reality Chip deck for about 150 dollars and I specifically did NOT include Thoracle as a win-con. Plenty of other game winning combos though. I would love to see your take on a Reality Chip deck since I'm thinking of upgrading it.
I found this channel a few week ago , and is awesome, maybe is how you build the decks or the ideas you have, but I loved the philosophy behind it.
In my case this year, I try to build a "The Cyber-Controller" deck, I still fighting with the deck and it is fun.
My favorite deck builds (but also the most frustrating) are the ones that challenge me in the process. When I playtest and I can't get the deck experience right it triggers me to dive deep into the critical deck choices. I hope your Cyber-Controller build goes well.

Every video I find myself admiring the framed Halo 3 poster.
Fun story about that poster! That is actually the original Halo 3 poster my brother got for his college dorm in 2007.
He would put it up every year with tape and somehow managed to not totally destroy it. He was going to throw it out, but I told him to give it to me. I had to heat treat the corners to get the old adhesive off and then stuck the whole thing down to a Backer board. I saved it!!
Halo 3 is such a huge part of my childhood. IMO the absolute GOAT. I still have LAN parties where we all play original Halo 3. :)
@@Tempest-Official That's awesome, I still have the original poster with Arby & Chief on it that came with the game but it has seen better days.
In regards to it being the absolute GOAT, I agree. I'd spend countless hours between all the modes and that first iteration of forge was magic. You can't beat a LAN party with all you're mates, the atmosphere was always incredible.

@@Tempest-Official I was inspired by the raggadragga list and i was wondering what the tibalts trickery is for? Is it to counter our own stuff and flip something big?
@@Marcooow1 it's just in there for protection. Honestly, a deflecting swat might be better, but tibalts trickery has really performed for me. And in this list, it has saved my bacon more than once. I'd encourage you to give it a go!
So here we are and Thunder Junction just released. I think we would all love an update with the new cards on all your decks of what you would do to upgrade them :) I love your content. I have been playing at Millennium for a very very long time. I try to make it there several. times a year to play Star Wars X-Wing and others. No Magic in several years.
I'm in the process of overhauling some of my decks. Once I've had time to playtest we will certainly do another video. :)

Was so excited for #1 until you revealed it was Ovika! What a deck, I had to actually take it apart because of what you said, if it sticks it's game over. What a great card. My playgroup just learned to target it/me after the 2nd win and so I had to dismantle because putting more cards in there to protect myself took away from the theme of the deck!

I’m working on Raga Dragga myself
My group was formed w cedh players like myself and more mid power players so we are all kinda settling into a meta where I might play a $100 budget cedh deck against a few high power, non cedh, $300-$500 decks and I have been helping a couple guys power up.
Anyway, I’m building Ragga Dragga to dial it down a bit.
Here is the combo (obviously you can do infinite combat stuff but here’s the secret sauce;
Have a big mana dork out (marwyn/viridian/cradel cutter/Selvala/whatever.
Using your mana = power dork cast any Tutor that finds Temur Sabertooth. While searching for sabertooth you cast panglacial Wurm from your deck (cause it does that). That untaps the dork. Use sabertooth to bounce the Wurm. Cast it again. Rinse repeat.
Or just casting fanning the flames w a power dork can let you go off and win the game.
And you have aggrevated assualt and some extra ways to proc that but the secret tech is Panglacial Wurm/sabertooth

I feel like Ovika is just a worse Locust god, but that's me :) Nice list, would have been sweet with time stamps for each commander though. I built a Ragga deck out of stuff I had at home but it ended up really boring, basically standard ramp into craterhoof. Yours seem more fun so gonna see if I can afford getting some of the cards you use in that. All in all, happy new year :)

Hey! I found your channel 3 days ago, looking for a new budget Commander Deck, through your Niv-Mizzet Video.
150 Dollars didn't fit my Budget so i was very happy to see the Neera Deck in this Video.
Ordered the whole Deck for around 65 Bucks and can't wait to play it. A little bit Chaos is very fun in my opinion! :D
Would it be possible to make a Deck Tech Video about the deck, or to put some tipps for playing the deck on the archidekt side?
Would love to see some tipps, to play the deck to its full potential.
I had the same experience with Osgir. Ended up changing it to Alibou - not a massive change to the whole decklist, but the end result seemed simpler and more boros!

I was super hyped by the 1+ counter strat. for indominus rex alpha. Why didn't it make it on your list while others like niv-mizzet made it? Would love to have to some feedback, since I thought about building it that way.

I started playing MTG in 95 played till probably 07… just getting back into it. I have lots of really great cards but all my creatures suck 😂 the power creep on creatures has been insane

I'm super happy to hear my videos have been helpful. I actually have a Vrestin deck that was first a Hamza deck.
I think if you are looking for a good shell, take a look at my archidekt at "Vrestin, Menoptra Leader, +1/+1 Counters" .
I would probably remove Living Hive, Iridescent Horn Beetle, and Anduril Narsil Reforged. But otherwise I stand by that deck. It's a great shell for MOST +1 counter commanders! :) Let me know how you do!

Hows your Umbris doing? Ive only won once with mine so far, at least it was the one game against mtg artists ah.
Can you elaborate on why you don’t use fast mana? You said it wasn’t your style? Is it a cost thing or a power level thing? This was my first video of yours and I took notes. Thanks for putting in the time and then sharing! Last question: favorite sleeve color!?
Mostly my play groups power level. I have played with cedh pods with some off meta commanders and had a good time, but my main group isn't that fast.
If my main group played with fast mana I would incorporate more of it into my videos. 😬
And for a color? I'm a big fan of the mono white dragon shield dual matte sleeves.
Okay, I been playing the Ovika list (mostly the same)
It pops off. If you have phyrexian altar and skull clamp, with Ovika, you basically just win on the spot.
And even then it has so many winning lines.

The new umbris build would be pretty high, but I built that deck >1 year ago despite me more recently updating it.

Orvar can be cedh viable. It’s not likely to win w major event but it can be built in a way that it doesn’t matter what casual players are doing they are just doing to lose every game.
The gulf between casual and cedh is massive. Orvar is one of the maybe 2% of commanders that can kinda get there. It’s not like Krenko or Edgar Markov.. it’s honestly powerful.
I feel like Krenko is what casual players think of as poweful. Krenko isn’t cEdh viable. Orvar is. You just have to know how to build it.

Definitely build her! She is super fun! My fiance can't stop playing here even in pods that aren't budget. And crazy enough, she still wins
