One daily laughable from the NHL these days are the reciprocity fights after a clean, run of the mill hit. Not only are the players who respond laughable, but the bench and fans are equally ridiculous. Almost none of these hits would have gotten any attention whatsoever 10 years ago, but now any body contact draws the attention of the meek. Sean will have a field day making fun of the whole experience. Great show, my stomach hurts from the "Eat what you kill" Rempe quote. Rock on boys

Now if u dont have those stickers on the helmet the reffs dont let them play they will say ur helmet isnt certified concussion proof. Which is a stupid requirement cause no helmet is concussion proof its a gimmick. The bauer 8500 was the first helmet i had that was suppsed to be concussion proof and i got more concussions with it then any other fuckin helmet lol. But when i was like 17 they started fussing about the stickers and im 31 now so these kids prob get a hard time
He also turned down a fight with Reaves when the rangers were up so he's starting to learn to be smart about it
The fight against Oliver or whatever his fucking name is was stupid. They had won 10 in a row. Columbus was already up for the game because they didn't want to be number 11, the record breaker for the Rangers. The kid accepts a challenge and winds up losing badly giving Columbus and home crowd even more energy and they go and lose the game and end the win streak. Kids got to learn when to turn down fights.

I think Reaves decided to take it easy on Rempe during their fight. Clearly the kid is beaten up. There’s no real gain in beating up an already beaten up guy. Rempe did lay the big hit so Reaves decided to give the fans the show they came to see. Reaves being a former Ranger who respects the organization and Rempe coming in earning his time the hard way. Old time hockey!

Rempe ate 3-4 bombs from Reaves and barely landed a punch lol
I was at this game, Reaves slipped 3 shots from Rempe and countered with bombs, maybe 2 but 1 for sure landed and split this kids nose wide open. He had blood all over his jersey and inside his vizor on his way to the box.
He looked like Lucic against Colton Orr back in the day, couldn’t wait for the refs to step in at the end.

@@dp6297 Think of it this way. 5 years ago, Rempes father died. The kid was 15. Reeves was 32 at the time. I know the kid likes to fight and that's what got him into the NHL but if I was Reeves I'd be ashamed of myself for fighting a kid and don't give me that shit that Reeves went after him because of the hit. Reeves was yelling at him to drop the gloves before the hit.
