Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. If you’re looking for a conceal carry gun, the CS really shines. For open carry or range use they’re both great. My hunch is that the C2 will be coming more available and lower in price, like the C did when the C2 was introduced.

I would put my CS between a subcompact and a compact. It has much closer dimensions to a 43X, especially in width, than the Glock 19.
After carrying the CS for the last week, I totally get where you’re coming from. Despite the dimensions, it does carry better than many other compacts, like the Glock 19, but the dimensions are the dimensions. With the exception of the slight slight overall length difference, which is a non issue when it comes to concealing, the CS is larger in the other dimensions which greatly affect comfort and concealability, height and width.

@@DrTac if you were measuring at the safety paddles then it is indeed as wide as a Glock 19 but if you measure just the slide it is much thinner, closer to the Glock 43X. This goes for the length as well. If you are measuring from the Beaver tail it is also close to the Glock 19 but if you are just measuring the slide and barrel lengths it is much closer to the Glock 43X. The dimensions are a bit misleading. However, I still agree that it does not fall in the subcompact category, but I wouldn't call it a compact either. That's why I said I think it's somewhere in between. In fairness, I also wouldn't put the sig macro, Glock 43x, or hellcat pro in that subcompact/compact category either. Those pistols (like the CS) probably fall somewhere in between.
@@joemiester31 It is interesting. The CS has the drawbacks of a subcompact with the disadvantages of a compact. When comparing it to the Glock 19, it has a shorter barrel and slide with the decreased velocity and sight radius that accompany those deficits, but the overall length is virtually the. That damned beavertail cannot be ignored and it presents the same concealment and printing issues of the larger compact. The CS is wider, as a result of the ambidextrous safety, which is absolutely a concealment issue, especially regarding holster girth. The biggest concern is the overall height, as this is the area that tends to present the most printing and what really separates the subcompacts from the compacts (look at the Glock 19 vs the Glock 26). Here, the CS is clearly taller. I would definitely put Sig's Macro in the compact classification, but the XL I think could be snuck into the subcompact or in-between category...as I said, the OG P365 barely makes it into micro status in my book.
I hope I'm not coming across as too negative on the CS. I am carrying it right now and so far I am super happy with this gun as a performer and a carry piece. I just want to make sure that people who are considering spending thousands of dollars on this gun are aware of it's limitations (at least as I perceive them) as well as all the great features that it has to offer.
@@DrTac I total understand and respect that. I suppose we just classify "compacts" a bit differently. I actually have a xmacro and it's hard for me to classify that as a compact. It's significantly lighter and slimmer then my g19 to the point that it just simply feels like it's in a different class. It especially shoots a heck of a lot smaller then my g19 too! It's like saying the Glock 43x/48 is in the same compact category as the Glock 19. It just doesn't seem right when the weight and thickness is so drastically different. Especially when they shoot so different.
@@DrTac maybe we can coin the phrase "mini compacts" or "slimline compacts" hahaha

Staccato mills their slides for the Delta Point Pro optic profile at the factory. If you go with that optic, you can avoid the $150ish cost for an adapter plate.
