I visited Kolab canyon at about the same time as you were there (June 2023) and the road was closed. I've been to Zion every year for the past 20 years (Zion in 13 hour drive from my house in California) because I love this are so much. You made a good decition to get out and walk to the more specatular part of Kolab Canyon. Way to go!

It was our first time seeing USA's national parks and we were not disappointed. You guys have such an amazing backyard to explore!
