    Full tutorial
    Changing the front brakes on a Volvo XC90 can be a relatively straightforward process, but it is important to be careful and follow proper procedures to ensure the job is done safely and effectively.

    Just something to look at when you can so you get some idea of what they do when your brakes are replaced

    Intersting that you didn't have to remove the carrier to get the disc off

      I don’t know why that’s interesting but thanks for watching 👍

    Would you ever apply something like Lanoguard (rust protector) to the rusty bits (not the disc or caliper)? Or is this a no no because it interveres with the disc and brake system? Reason i ask is because im starting to get in to cars and will be doing this soon, so thank you for the wuality informative video.

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  Před rokem +1

      If your car is rusty then ya you. An treat it with some rust protection just be sure not to get it on and moving parts like brakes and you should be good 👍

      I’ve not had the pleasure of working on a 2022 model yet but the principle will be the same and I would imagine it would be a very similar job 👍

    Why doesn't anyone torque the caliper brake bolts? Must me a top secret number as I can't find the torque raring for the front of my 2019 XC90!

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  Před rokem

      If it’s a D5 2019-2021 the front caliper to hub bolts torque is 200NM and the slider bolts are 57NM hope that helps 👍

      @@MrAutoFixer Thanks for the info. Mine is a T6 R-Design with the factory 22" wheels, wondering if they would still be the same?

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  Před rokem

      It’s the same, caliper carrier to hub is 200NM and slider bolts 57NM 👍
