In this episode of RemRants, we look at both pc ports, and pc releases to try and figure out why computer games are so broken. From FNaF Security Breach, to Jedi Survivor, to The Last of Us, many new released games on Steam seem to be broken. Can we understand why?

Stardew Valley is great as well.
I have put so many hours into that game.
FNaF 1-UCN.
Gunfire Reborn
Genshin impact aside from the gacha trash.
14:40 FNAF's success after FNAF 1 was basically a hype cycle that Scott was trying to keep up. I think by even sister location, the hype cycle had died down, and it wouldnt have mattered if things took a little longer. Which is why im certainly disappointed in that.
I’ve noticed a lot of games on the switch don’t work properly or can be a bit clunky.
This whole video can be summed up in one word, greed.
I’m shocked you included Subnautica in that last section with how poorly the development was with its second game, I loved the first game and I think the second one is fine, but I heard that there was a LOT of issues behnind the scenes
Releasing incomplete games and then releasing fixes is the new norm
Firmament by Cyan Worlds was released yesterday.
Rem is like "im gonna list off some games" and I was just like "alright, literally every sonic game. Almost every Bethesda game, kind of an odd one. But whatever company made literally every WWE wrestling game, I mean. I accidentally walked out of the arena on a game mode where going outside the arena is a knockout and became invincible. ON MY VERY FIRST MATCH OWNING THE GAME
Nah nah dude it's the easiest question to answer.
Consoles = same hardware everywhere
Pc = 50,000,000 different machines
Endnightgames are a studio which cares about it's players even if they have put out theyre second game for early acess they kept paycging and patchin and patching the game and even adding the weapons they wanted and they actually listen to theyre players
why is the smoke so inconsistent in your background?
The whole time watching this, I just kept thinking of the Sims franchise, the Sims 4 mostly, that messed up both the PC release and broke the Console port. Players have now started talking about a class action lawsuit for how EA/Maxis have treated the series. Selling players a 1K plus game only for not even half of it to be functional or stripped down then sold as DLC. Indie studios are now coming in to heal that broken trust, but I fear its only a matter of time before they get brought out or adopt the same mindset.
What music are you using for background?
is Iron Galaxy the cheepest option for game porting?
Sometimes it's not the ones working on the game but the pr team that pushes it out faster or in the case of Borderlands 3 tell them no we don't like this cutscene that makes a Redemption Arc for Ava remove it completely we're not going through with this so instead of having a complete story the way it's intended to be you have a crab pot of a half-baked story
I don't know how red fall is on other systems however I played on the series X and I haven't had no issues with it so I take that back I have had a glitch to wear my gun would not scope incorrectly so I would assume in on the sniper to scope and I would still see the scope like I wasn't zoomed in and there's been a couple other minor bugs but a quick restart of the game fixes everything the problems I've had is when I'm in multiplayer session so yeah redfall is a little bit buggy but it's not that bad Fallout 76 was by far the worst game release it was quite literally unplayable to the point to where you would lose your save file sometimes and it's still buggy to this day
If the game has a previous version that can be emulated go the emulation route they run way better because of no DRM
The new starwars game shouldn't run better on emulators but it does lmao
One day I’m going to make a game
100% complete
Many delays (got to make it good)
And I’m going to make a good pc port
Remember this reply
Yahtzee made a video about this like...yesterday.
This is what happens when we constantly insist on the most resource intensive, brand new, untested graphics engines every single time
Windows 11 is a worse version of Windows 10 that has the worst aspects of iOS, Android, and MacOS within a Windows 10 skin. This makes PC games, especially older ones, less stable or unable to run at all.
MacOS has alienated game developers from the OS due to the many dumb requirements and the premature drop of 32-bit everything baring older and abandoned or still useful API and applications from being usable.
Lastly, technically, Linux OSs are ideal for games especially ports; however, it is not as user-friendly and ubiquitous as MacOS and Windows OS are.
The perfect PC OS would the combination of the best attributes of MacOS, Windows, and Linux
O
So i think you are wrong. And the real conclusion is even worse than what you say in the video. It isnt that the companies dont care about the final product. It is that they no longer consider the release day game to be the final product.
That is why kerbal space program says early access. They are telling "we dont consider this done. Are you willing to give me money to start playing anyway"
And the other companies aren't even bothering to put the early access tag on there to warn you. They are just lying, and releasing patches after to fix it.
But like you said, the consumers are to blame also. Should the developers of kerbal space program release a game they haven't finished yet, no. But people still bought a game they told you was still in development
This world is going through a rough time and it will only get worse unless the people as a whole change. The buyer, and seller are both corrupt, so either we have to change, or we will be forever disappointed.
One of the few things console gamers can actually make fun off xD
First comment and like no also when's the next welcome home theory
