    Interesting that everytime "Fairchild" is mentioned, there is footage of Fairchild 660 audio compressor, which was made by Fairchild Recording Equipment Corporation, founded by SAME Sherman Fairchild in 1931. This guy founded over 70 companies. Including one that developed some aerial photography stuff for apollo missions. Crazy.

    Not surprised they hated public schools. It's basically just the bare minimum in 90% of them. You still need your kid to socialize, etc, but I wouldn't rely on the school to teach them much.

    Actually Bardeen and Brattain did discover the point contact transistor kinda on their own. Shockley sent them in that direction while hoping to be the one to use the field effect to build a transistor.
    Shockley did end up inventing the pnp/npn structure (which wasn't based on the field effect) because he couldn't stand his subordinates succeeding. This idea carried on in his own company.

    Global financial markets have been significantly impacted by SVB's demise, prompting investors to sell off bank equities hastily and reevaluate their interest rate expectations. I am a $350,000 investor who is at a crossroads and wondering if it is wise to hold onto securities that are losing value. I want guidance on the best approaches to maximizing my returns in this negative market.

    • @sarahbrown-ct1bu
      @sarahbrown-ct1bu Před rokem +3

      It is unlikely that the market will experience big gains anytime soon in light of the latest developments involving SVB, therefore it is prudent to set reasonable expectations and get ready for a potentially protracted recovery period. It is advised to postpone making big investment decisions until the economic climate in areas of concern has stabilized. It is best to take precautions and stay out of the current disturbance.

  • @BeingForeverBroken
    @BeingForeverBroken Před rokem +2

    I really enjoy the topics that you post about, the information you bring along with it, and usually the pace (though I usually at 1.75x to 2x speed). What I find adds absolutely nothing to the video, is the constantly changing frames and pictures. For the target audience that I'm guessing you're going for there's no knowledge value to watching your video if all you're showing is just random clips. I'd much rather just watch you film yourself sharing the same information with good thumbnails, visually appealing and value adding graphs, charts, article excerpts, and truly related pictures WHEN NEEDED, than all you're doing now. It would greatly cut down on the editing, the random pictures, all this extra text moving and editing you're doing, and allow you to focus on maximizing delivering the structured knowledge you're aiming to share.
    This is my gripe with all channels that post this format of ridiculous unrelated pictures when sharing good information.
    Could just be me, I could be wrong.
    I appreciate the script and would like for this channel to grow and continue creating great content!

    Shockley's obsession with eugenics is yet another of example of the fact that someone is among the best at his field doesn't necessarily mean he knows anything about other areas. The problem is people that "I'm good at X, which is really complicated, so everything else must be easily solvable in comparison."

    Interesting story ruined by the constant trashing of these people being called treacherous non-stop. It's obvious this author loved trashing them by the continuous trashing. They did nothing wrong, just looking for better ways to work, what anyone does for their best interest and dignity.
    It's very tempting to speculate why this author sides with the abuser, but more interesting and disappointing is noticing that none in the comments has defended the righteous eight, no sarcasm, obviously. It's disappointing because people nowadays are easier to get offended and being more selfish than never before, everyone here would have gone mad working for the starting boss jerk. Yet, bloggers here so far have failed to assess the situation and defend the eight.
