It's quite relatable, I work in a college with SEN (Specialist Educational Needs) students.
We often do sports like football(soccer) and hockey, and it's fair to say some of them kick my ass at it and put me to shame.
Just because they may not have the same mental capacity as the average person doesn't mean they're not physically fit.

I thought it was for the long jump, either way just because alot people aren't handicapped like the ones in the special Olympics, doesn't mean they're going to easily beat them in certain events, these people train year round to compete in these games
@@jamespaul6315 Tell that to Jackie Barrett (Canada), Hyeongrak Kim (South Korea), or Wonho Kang (South Korea), three of the greatest Special Olympics Powerlifters in Special Olympics World Games history known for being superior Squatters and Deadlifters, and they will make you think twice before saying that normal people can beat a Special Olympics athletes.

I do track and basketball in special Olympics, have done so for over half my life.
@@skelleyd9097 as a kid, I went to a swim club for special children. My brother enjoyed swimming so joined in despite being mentally ok. Eventually the special Olympics happened and me and my brother raced. I came second and he came first. It was the only time he ever did it. I still carry on.
