Posting on behalf of my 14 year old son, Krish Bangalore. He says
"I took a while to ponder on the question and these are my thoughts.
How can anybody pick just one song when you have given us so many to cherish and identify with , your songs produce a whirlwind of emotions as they are masterfully written.
i love playing all your songs because you’re an acoustic artist and the sounds you are able to bring out of the instrument are ethereal.
i love that you produce all your tracks on the loop pedal live, it’s like at those restaurants where they cook the food in right in front of you.
the first song i heard of yours was thinking out loud in the winter of 2014 and it inspired me to learn to play the guitar.
you have such an affinity for the guitar that i aspire to attain. you’ve given me a completely different outlook on how i experience music .
i know this is luck based , however “luck is when preparation meets opportunity”. whether i win or lose, i really appreciate the opportunity to enter and i hope you know you are inspiring the way this entire generation and generations to come hears music as well as how they play music like myself .✌️"

I would love to win this guitar for my 12 years old daughter. She has been a big fan of Ed since the album + . Thanks to him she started play. During quarantine she was sitting in her room and played guitar but I did't expect her to do it so well. Within a year she had learned barre chords, fingerstyle and started writing songs. She tells us all the time that her dream is to meet Ed. I know there is a small chance so this guitar would be the best gift for her. She loves doing it and I am so grateful to Ed. Thanks to him she is so happy. She would like to play beautiful people because she sings it all the time , even when we eat dinner :)

I would play "Afterglow" because yesterday I dreamed I was at Ed's concert and I sang this song with him on stage, it was the best dream ever and that's my current favourite song. Ed is my biggest inspiration, I've always wanted to be a musician and I've been studying music since I was 7. Music is what makes me stay strong while having depression and social phobia since I was little. I wanna say thank you to Ed for saving me so many times with his music, love youuu ❤️

My 14 year old daughter is a very huge Sheerio and Ed is the reason that she started to sing and write songs at 11 years old. I would play Give me Love first as I heard her playing this song on her guitar. And in addition to that we heard it live together in Hanover and it was a wonderful special moment, Ed really knows what he's doing.

I would play Thinking out loud, it’s the first Ed’s song that I’ve heard on the radio because that day Ed was in concert in Rome (where I live) and I was in a very dark moment of my life where I would lay in my bed for hours without doing anything but overthinking and crying. That day I went home and I started listening on repeat to that song for days until I found the strength to react and started moving on with my life. I’ve been the biggest fan of him ever since, listening and learning every song of him from his very first albums. Since quarantine I’ve found myself in that position again and when I feel like everything it’s too overwhelming I listen to his songs and his familiar voice calms me. Grazie for everything Ed, I hope you Cherry and your baby girl are doing well❤️

The first song I would play will be "I see fire". I really want to win but I don't have any sad or heart warming stories. So I just gonna share the story of me hearing ed sheeran song for the first time(which is "I see fire"). I went to watch Hobbit 2 and actually find the movie isn't as interested as I hope it would be and I almost leaves. At the end of movie when" Oh, misty eye of the mountain below" come out, I literally froze right there, it was literally the highlight of the entire movie. I listen to the entire song and went home search the artists and other works, I never heard the name ed sheeran or any ed's songs before "I see fire", but I became a fan since then. I still think "I see fire" is a very underrated song and it's one of the best song I heard in my life.

I would play my original song "Be My Love," which will be released in Feb or March of this year, written by myself. If I get one of them, I'll upload live on this channel, right after the single is out. Also, I've recorded 4 more songs to release an EP with my beginner guitar I bought 10 years ago, but I couldn't be satisfied with the sound. I'll re-record them with sheerans guitar and release them in 2021 if I get him.

I would play 'Cannonball' by Damien Rice. It's the song that inspired me to start writing music, as I'm sure it inspired Ed when he saw Damien in Whelans when he was younger. It was also the first song I played busking when I was 15, and I still play it today (in slightly nicer venues than the street!)

I am a 14 year old from Arkansas . Winning this guitar would mean so much to me. Sports is the main attraction in our town and at my school. I am not a very big guy and not very sporty, so playing music has really been important to me. I started playing guitar at 9 years old. The first songs I learned were Ed Sheeran songs. (As you can see on my CZcams channel) He has been such an inspiration to me. If I won, I would re-record the song Photograph, which was the first song I posted on CZcams. I think I could do so much better now.

  • @smekinc
    @smekinc Před 3 lety +1

I discovered Ed and his music and him as a person in 2017 when I was going through one of the toughest times in my life. His passion on music and guitar playing and the way he fought through the career challenges with a dedication you rarely see inspired me to find my way back into pursuing what I wanted and achieving what I wanted. So one of the first things I did was to buy a beginner's guitar, which I named Teddy, and start teaching myself how to play it in my late 20s. I would practice hours and hours and keep practicing until my finders were cracking. Unfortunately, I had to sell my guitar in 2019 and haven't been able to buy another yet, but it is something I want to continue, have the courage to go busking and one day write my own song.
Fortunately, I was able to experience Ed's music live in Cardiff, first row after camping for over 8h in front of the stadium. It was the first large concert I have been to and something about the moment and the atmosphere and him loosing himself in his music when he was performing his song 'Photograph' touched me and I started tearing up and just felt that song as I have never had before although having listened to it a hundred times. It was a totally new experience, something, which I never thought would happen to me in a way as I never understood the emotional responses of people going to concerts before that point. 'Photograph' suddenly had a different meaning for me and every time when I listen to it now I get transferred into the feelings that came rushing to me when I was listening him playing that song on stage. So I think if I would play the Sheeran by Lowden, I would choose 'Photograph' and let it all out and share that story with the world. Cheers!

    Dear lovely Lowden-Team,
as a child i started to play my father's old guitar, but being an adult now, having moved out of home, i don't have a guitar for myself or close to me. I would LOVE to pick up a guitar again and especially an Sheeran by Lowden one. Those seem to be the most precious and beautiful ones. The first song or tune i would play would be "I see fire" by Ed, since that was the first song i learned to play on guitar back in 2014. It would actually mean the world to win and have a signed guitar. Not only i could play guitar again finally, but i would feel so honored to have such a wonderful instrument to call mine.
Thank you for always being an inspiration to the next generation, Ed! Supporting children and adults to be able to afford such wonderful instruments is such a beautiful thing to do. Can't wait to hear the tunes you make with those guitars! Thank you 🥰 lots of love xx

The first song that I'll play is "Tenerife Sea".
    Just some extra story:
It holds a lot of memory from when I was starting in my music journey. Ed is a huge inspiration of mine and the one who made me realize my passion in music. I met a girl in my highschool days, we were both a fan of Ed. We eventually became lovers and our favorite song was "Tenerife Sea". I tought myself to play guitar so I can always play that song to her. We never end up being together but she still supports me in my music career 100%, like since the day that I met her. It's been 5 years since I started out in music, but now my hard works are being paid off because my music is slowly getting recognized in our country. Not that big though, but it's getting good progress. Thank you, Ed Sheeran, for being my inspiration.

My daughter is a 17 year old acoustic pop singer songwriter and Ed Sheeran has been her biggest inspiration just like Damien Rice was for him. ED Sheeran has inspired her to be a songwriter and she has released two songs so far and is planning on releasing her EP this Summer. You can check her music @Sathvikamusic on all social media platforms. She has performed at various places and every concert line up of hers will include Castle on the hill and photograph for sure. She has done countless English projects for school analyzing Ed Sheeran's lyrics and everyone around her knows how big of a "Sheerio" she is :-) If she wins the guitar, the first thing she would do is of course song write. Winning this guitar will be best piece of inspiration an upcoming musician can ask for apart from being the best 18th birthday present!!

Hi! My name is Danyel, I'm 13 years old, and love playing the guitar! If I win, I'd definitely play "Afterglow" by Ed Sheeran, which is my new favorite song to play. I also write my own songs and sing with them, so I really hope I win! It would be a dream come true to be able to have a Sheeran Guitar. Ed Sheeran really has changed my life. I got inspired to learn the guitar after I fell in love with the song "Photograph", which I'd also play on a Sheeran Guitar. Even though I probably won't win, thank you Ed Sheeran for everything you do. The way your songs connect to people inspired me to write my own songs.

I would play What Do I Know? because it's like my favorite song ever. It's so upbeat and the message of just like stop caring about all these superficial things is really something everybody should hear. A lot of people now really only care about those things myself included and the song is just a nice reminder to slow down and just enjoy your life. My mom also got me a customized wood guitar pick that says "What do I know..." on it for Christmas.

The song id play is either 'can't help falling in love' or 'love yourself. Ever since sheeran by lowden started, I've wished to have a lowden guitar because of their beauty both visually and audibly. Being able to receive one of these guitars would be a dream as I've been practicing playing guitar so much and I'm still determined to get better. Being able to play an instrument is something I've always wanted to do and receiving one of these guitars would be a dream. Even if I don't win, the thought of someone receiving a lowden guitar makes me really happy as I know that they will have the best guitar to play their music on 😊

    - perfect was the song that made me a sheerio and then becoming obsessed with ed forever
    - it is one of ed’s favourite songs ever and same thing for me
    - and last but not least my favourite reason ever is, my dad wanted me to play a song for my baby brother when he was a couple of months old and perfect was the first song that he has ever heard before he passed away
