This was an All Star tribute at the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" after the induction of George Harrison as a solo artist. George had previously been inducted as a member of the Beatles. George died from cancer a few years prior to his election as a solo artist. The guy with the high pitched voice is Jeff Lynne the lead singer and main creator of the group The Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). ELO was huge in the 70s and 80s and might be a good rabbit hole to explore. George wrote this song and the beatles releaseed it on their album "The Beatles" which was known as "The White Album" in 1968. Eric Clapton, as an uncredited guest musician, played lead guitar on the Beatles version while George sang lead and the higher vocal harmonies were performed by Paul McCartney.
And that's George Harrison's son on Tom Petty's left side.
Spitting image of his father.
Also, I might add, George, Jeff and Tom, along with Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison, were members of the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys.
Steve Winwood in the back on keyboards.
check out the Beatles
Most people have no idea how great Prince was on guitar!!! And as far as I know he played 23 different instruments, he was a musical genius.
that is so cool!
Most underrated musician ever
He was a musical genius! He played, sang and wrote. He wrote numerous #1 hits for other singers.
Prince was a amazingly talented guitarist 🎸......he was heavily influenced by Bill Nelson, perhaps the most criminaly underrated guitarist of all time. He was in a band called Be Bop Deluxe,.....listen to Crying to the Sky off their " Sunburst Finish" album and you will hear exactly where Purple Rain was born!!!!
Jeff Lynne/ E.L.O is a must. Start with Mr Blue sky. You might find it familiar.
This was Prince's protest and middle finger to the critics for being left off the top 100 guitarist list. Soon after he was slotted into to #33 of all time greatest.
Still too low. Prince was an awesome guitarist.
Yea Prince is Top 5 EASILY ...
From what I've heard, he wasn't even slated to be on stage. And Tom Petty was as pissed as he was for Prince being left off the list. Petty asked him to come on and just shred the end of the song. And he obviously did! He is definitely a top 10-15 guitarist of all time.
love that!
@@jrshelton3398 Wow, those two in your family must be very famous! Oh no?
You can't learn about music without listening to the Beatles. They are the most influential band in history. They changed everything in the music industry.
Prince himself was a huge Beatles fan and his Album Around the World in a Day is his love song to them.
Agreed. I haven't seen you do a deep dive on any Beatles songs yet, and they were absolutely iconic in changing music. Maybe more so than Elvis. Yesterday is powerful. A Day in the Life. Come Together. Let it Be. Penny Lane. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
They had several 'stages'. Early stage was the bubble-gum simple songs. Then they got deeper/angrier. Then they got spiritual/hippie. All are great.
Thank you all popular music should be divided into BB and AB . Before Beatles,After Beatles.
Just read the comments or look at the full title of the video! Also start reacting to The Beatles!!!
Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty (deceased) along with two other music legends Roy Orbison (deceased) and Bob Dylan formed The Traveling Wilburys taking on fictional personas and producing several albums. The men on this stage had been friends with or admired George Harrison and The Beatles for decades. It was the second time George was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
I hope she stops and looks it up .This is torture.
This performance was to honor the song writer George Harrison from the Beatles. Even his son Dhani, is on stage playing
He's the young lad next to Tom Petty
@@yelnek4548 The one who Looks exactly like his father.
that is awesome!
This song was written by George Harrison. He recorded this with the Beatles in 1968 on their White Album. George sang the song. One of the greatest solos in rock history.
thanks for the info!
Eric Clapton played the solo on the original "The Beatles: White Album" recording. Until I saw Prince do what Prince did on thst stage, I never expected it could ever be improved upon.
@@wadsworthaaron Someone once asked Eric Clapton what's it like being the best guitarist in the world and his reply was I don't know you'd better ask Prince?
@@wadsworthaaron yeah, I know. BTW, there is another video of an all star band tribute band doing this song. Eric Clapton plays his original solo. Including George's son is on stage, strumming rhythm guitar.
@@brittreacts The guitarist on this gig duplicated what Clapton played in the studio. Very famous solos.
Prince is our Mozart, he mastered over 14 instruments by age 17, he could dance, sing any note, rap, he wrote, arranged, performed ALL his music, including wrote hits for other artists, he has covered almost every genre, Metal, Punk rock, hip hop, pop, r&b, soul, jazz, blues, country, ambience, classical, instrumental. The Multi-Genre God. He could play anything, and your favorite artists have been deeply influenced by him. Corey Taylor, Whitney Houston, Steve Vai, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Lil uzi vert, H.E.R. , Paul Mccartney, all worship Prince to just name a few.
Prince recorded his first 2 albums at 16 all by himself, all instruments, lyrics, arrangement, composition, production & vocals were all by him. He was such a prodigy, that music executives wanted proof, they would fly across country just to see if he could really play all instruments, because it was so unheard of. Prince has over 50 official released albums and when he passed, they found over 10 thousand unreleased Prince music in his vault. He then came into the business and was the FIRST to fight for artists rights, and he WON. He would write "slave" on his cheek and go to meetings protesting against the industry. Prince was also the first artist to sell his music on the internet. You are talking about the most talented artist we will ever see.
My quick research shows that it was DAVID BOWIE to first sell a full album online. However perhaps PRINCE sold an individual song beforehand. Either way both DAVID and PRINCE were geniuses. R.I.P to them both. Coincidentally they both passed in 2016. ✌
Whoa, haven't seen anyone reference H.E.R in ages...Ville Valo has such an imposing voice and stage presence...I love that one metal magazine described him as, "Mick Jagger's swagger with the presence of Brandon Lee in The Crow."
I’ve always loved the part where Prince looks over at Tom like, “do I keep going?” And Tom basically nods back as if to say, “this is all you Prince, get it!”
Prince’s guitar needed a cigarette after he was done with it.
haha
Hell, I NEED a cigarette each time I watch this performance, and I don’t even smoke! Prince was definitely a badass on so many different levels!
Prince's solo was entirely improvised on the spot and none of the band knew what he was going to do. That there is genius 🙌🏻
I had a friend who was the biggest Prince fan,she had never heard this and she called me crying thanking me for this gift.
that is such a sweet story!
I don’t know if you know. In the video game named Risk of Rain 2. One of the songs is titled “The Rain Formally Known As Purple” is a song that is pretty much a tribute to Prince’s Purple Rain. I suggest checking it out and recommending the song to your friend if you think it is worth sharing!
That vocalist you asked about is Jeff Lynne, of ELO. You owe it to yourself to dive into Electric Light Orchestra's catalog. It's like nothing you've ever heard before. Sort of a Beatles meets Pink Floyd meets Tchaikovsky. I suggest starting with "Turn to Stone".
I will keep it in mind, thanks!
Or “Telephone Line”
@@LA80sMike Also a good one!
Or Mr Blue Sky, also a great song by ELO
@@brittreacts ELO is awesome... just an incredible band to listen to and experience
On a stage full of rock GIANTS...
Prince out shone them all!
What an absolute LEGEND!
R.I.P. PRINCE...
The young man standing behind Tom Petty is George Harrison's son. George wrote and recorded this song when he was with the Beatles. Absolutely the epitome of a rock and roll classic. The Beatles influenced so many of the musicians today. They changed the music world forever.
Prince literally shredded that solo. Widely considered in the music industry to be the all time best guitar player ever and he played about every instrument. Somewhere there's a video of him playing drums with Sheila E playing percussion, it's beautiful. Stevie Winwood is the keyboard player here, quite the musical genius on his own right. The song was written by George Harrison of the Beatles, I urge you to listen to the original.
That song with Sheila E on drums then switching with Prince on drums is It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night. Please check it out
Thank you Wanda, I couldn't remember the name. It is delicious.
Really. Who is better? What say you?
I have time. You couldn't even come up with one.
Not a chance. Page himself sad prince was better than he was. None on your list is better than even Glen Cambell whom Van Halen wanted lessons from. They may be hard players but they aren't great players. I'd have respected you if Les Paul or Mark Knopfler was on your list but no.
That was Prince's "mic drop" moment, showing the world how amazing a guitarist he was. Nothing else needed to be said after that.
It was supposed to be a tribute to Harrison, not him.
It turned out to be both
@@kenhoyer8601it's the damn Jam session for the inductees that includes Prince and George Harrison!!!
People have known this about Prince literally for decades bruh! 😂😂😂.. It was a mic drop moment for people on CZcams who never seen Prince perform before lol
@@YourMothersMan Except he was still massively under appreciated. People tended to discount him from the conversation of greatest guitarist. This solo is basically what put him on peoples lists.
You ask, "Is Prince gonna sing?" He didn't just make it sing, he made it weep!!! I guess he wanted to prove a point. Definitely one of the greatest artists and musicians of any generation.
The ultimate" mic drop " at the end of his performance
Nobody above Prince. A true master!
What a great version of this song! On the original Beatle's release, the weeping guitar was provided by George Harrison's good friend, Eric Clapton. Eric returned the favor when he had Harrison provide the iconic guitar riffs for Cream's "Badge". Of course Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Bob Dylan all played together in the super group The Traveling Wilburys.
This was the all star tribute to George Harrison from the Beatles. His son is playing iny the back right of the group. He is the young man playing the guitar. This is when people realized that Prince was a beast on the guitar. He is easily one of the greatest guitarist of all time. George wrote this song and it was one of the greatest guitar focused songs ever.
Prince’s Superbowl performance remains the Best. It’s raining, he doesn’t focus on his music, but pays homage to other artists….There will never be another. You must deep dive.
There's a great production documentary on CZcams about that. Producer calls to Prince, "it's forcasted to pour the rain". Prince: "can you bake it rain harder?". Well alright....
This demonstrates why Prince is Prince and nobody else is. So great!
This song was a George Harrison song. George was known as the quiet Beatle. Like many quiet people, they don't speak often but when they do what they say is worth listening to. It took George some time to catch up to the famous writing team of Lennon/Mcartney But when he did he contributed some masterworks. This was one of them.
Prince was the greatest musician of our lifetime. He played 23 instruments but the guitar was like an extension of his hands. He was amazing. His death & Tom Petty's both hit me hard. Their music meant & still means so much to me. 2 of the greats, gone too soon 💔
He played more than 23 instruments
Britt, if you love the Tom Petty/Jeff Lynne harmonies; you’re in for a treat!!
Check out The Traveling Wilburys where both of them, George Harrison (the one this tribute was for), Bob Dylan, and Roy Orbison played around and blessed us with an amazing record right prior to the passing of Orbison.
Absolutely 😂🎉😅
The amount of talent on that stage is amazing. I had heard Prince almost backed out of it but changed his mind after talking to Tom Pretty. That would explain Tom's smirk when he kept playing in front of him.
The guy playing the weeping guitar in the body of the song is Marc Mann. He is a writer, producer and session musician. He has done quite a bit of work with Jeff since the 90's.
thanks for letting me know!
@@brittreacts
You are most welcome!
My wife and I love Prince! One of my favorite solos. Warmed my hear to see your reaction, and you nailed it, he was such a beautiful creature. Thank you for sharing
OK I see you niece. This auntie is happy that you reacted to ""My Guitar Gently Weeps". Such an iconic mix of talented/legendary musicians doing what they do best, performing/sharing their GOD given talent/talents with us, the fans. Chefs kiss 🖤🖤🖤❤❤❤
This is my all time favourite song and I'm 68 years young ❤ and yes Prince is about the Rock your socks Off.peace and love from Ireland
This was a magical and iconic performance. Great tribute to George Harrison and Beatles. Once in a lifetime event!
Prince sang a masterpiece with that guitar! Absolutely perfect!
Legend says he threw the guitar back to heaven after its earthly purpose was complete
love that!
Goosebumps everytime. Take that Rolling Stone!!!
The amount of talent on that stage at one time is unreal!!
Prince was actually holding back here. I've seen him go much crazier than this. On another note, I love the combo of Tom Petty and Jeff Lynn on vocals
I still find it so hard this late in my life when people don’t recognize a Beatle song! George wrote this song and was one of his biggest hits! I am really shocked because their music is everywhere!
Great reaction. I love Prince! There are only two guitar players that bring me to tears when I watch them perform, Prince and Stevie Ray Vaughan. My heart aches that they are both gone.
I never did like Prince’s songs but I always loved his incredible guitar playing. He was a legend.
you'd probably enjoy the Prince Jazz Funk Sessions from '77, it's completely intrumental.
czcams.com/video/cOc2MzvqbN0/video.html
he is great on the guitar!
You should watch the 2007 Super Bowl halftime show….legendary
@@dannymurphy3907 oh I have. Incredible.
Prince found out he was left off the list of the best 100 guitar players. Guess he showed them what a huge mistake that was! Go back and look at a picture of George Harrison in his younger years. Then look at the young man next to Tom. That's George's son. They look so much alike it gave me chills. So glad you enjoyed it as much as I did ☮️
Prince could have been on that list. But he decided to do pop music instead. That isn’t Rolling Stones fault.
:Supposedly, Prince didn't show up for rehearsal, so the group wasn't sure if would show up for the performance. So a lot of the looks at Steve was Prince making sure he could continue with the solo. This was also after right Rolling Stone's 100 greatest guitarists issue and Prince wasn't listed at all, and many felt Prince was disrespected. This performance was probably a middle finger to the magazine .
A George Harrison song. He passed away. His son is in this set. Beautiful song ❤ very tastefully done ❤ perfect song for Tom Petty to sing. Sounds like George
Prince with the face melting guitar solo 🏆 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🎸
This is from the evening Prince was inducted into the RRHF and George Harrison was posthumously inducted. Prince is beyond amazing. He's a one man army 💜
No no no, this is from the George Harrison tribute concert.
I can't believe you never saw this Britt! It's one of the most watched lead guitar solos of all time!
Written by the great and highly underrated George Harrison, my fave Beatle. Does not get any better, Prince and The Beatles-two of the the most fabulous and influential acts to ever grace the stage. Not to mention the great Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne.
Prince's guitar playing was simply amazing! Incredible. The whole group or artists are stars in their own right and deserved a bit more attention as well as the tribute to a great George Harrison.
Oh Prince - the most talented musician of all time, the GOAT. I always thought of him as the baby of James Brown's funk and dance, Jimi Hendrix's guitar and Little Richard's audaciousness. What a mix! Probably the only one that could dance at Michael Jackson's level back in the day. He did it all and thank God we have the music to remind us of that. Can't even recommend where you'd start with him.
That is a perfectly descriptive combo of his talent!
Yes!!!
No, he’s not going to sing. What he’s going to do is show you what an enigmatic music man he truly was 💜
I will keep him in mind, thanks!
As a guy that holds Prince the highest of any male solo artist,i love this reaction! (sure,he had his bands over the years, but he was in the front and being focused on,the bands were simply to back him up) I even got teased and even bullied for loving his music so much, while also calling myself a metal head and being heavy into Metallica,so over the years i changed my attitude around. I only say that im a music lover now,and if people still ask what im listening to,im like "abit of everything!". I still identify as a metal head, but i listen to all kinds of music,it just depends on the mood and day.
I never buckled under pressure, and i have to admit i loved Prince`s savage way of stealing this performance. Many called it a disrespect towards the other artists, and i seem to remember someone getting heated over how he pushed his guitar solo on and on,i believe some of the other performers went into abit of a "okay, now you are just overdoing it Prince!" type of mind lol. But Prince did it for a reason,he felt underappreciated for his guitar skills,so he wanted to prove himself to whoever ran thoose lists.
You know Prince is fed up if he tosses the guitar, all sassy and savagely, and just walks off the stage with that "diva strut". 🤣I did not see eye to eye with alot of his opinions etc,but i managed to look past it and i still loved him as a performing, singing, composing, writing genius!
Prince was going in on Michael Jackson, and Michael teased him back on any opportunity he got. But when Michael Jackson died, there was a story of someone knowing Prince. I cant come up with the name now. I think he went up with Prince on a roof somewhere, where they would just sit and talk and admire the landscape, great view they had. I think Prince watched at the stars at one point, and this person said Prince would NOT stop talking about Michael in a complimentary way. He just poured his soul about the loss of Michael and how great of a musician he was. So it was a rivalry there yes,but Prince had the outmost respect for Michael and cared for him. So a friendly rivalry more then anything,Prince wanted to overtake the throne from Michael,he wanted to have the same success and more,he had great goals for himself, but deep inside there was no grudge or hatred at all from Princes side.
Prince looked at Michael as a track and field sprinter look at his teammate,in a relay run they are buddies but in solo sprints they want to beat eachother,be faster and better then the other.
So in many ways,MJs fame was the absolute inspiration and motivation for Prince. And that lead to Prince making Purple Rain and actually bypassing MJ for the first time.
Many good documentaries on YT about thoose 2,i think 1 even includes Madonna.
Prince actually locked himself in for days, calling off his own rehearsal and sent his bandmates home, after he heard about MJs passing. And i just looked it up real quick,it wasnt a celebrity but a close friend of Prince actually,Tavis Smiley. I recommend this documentary for you Britt: Prince on His Rivalry with Michael Jackson! Candidly In His Own Words | the detail.
George Harrison's greatest song, from the Beatle's White Album. That young lad is George's son, Dhani Harrison.
Original by The Beatles, written and sung by George Harrison
The was Jeff Lynne from ELO whose voice you loved.
It's one of my favorite Beatles songs. Eric Clapton played on the original version.
glad you enjoyed it! it is a great song!
It is forbidden by the constitution to cut, pause a guitar solo, they can put you in prison
George Harrison of the Beatles wrote and recorded this song for the Beatles' White Album. The beauty of the Beatles is in their inventiveness, often coming from a place of pure imagination. Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra sang the falsetto bridge and Steve Winwood is on Hammond organ.
Prince was the all around GREATEST MUSICIAN planet earth has ever seen. And I mean, BY FAR. ☔️☔️☔️ we lost SO much that sad day in April… the only celebrity death I’ve ever cried… no, broken down… for. I feel like I knew him
And I miss him. 💔☔️💜
Jeff Lynne has the voice you like. Steve Winwood is on keyboards.
Winwood is a great artist in his own right. Check out "Higher Love", "The Finer Things", "Dear Mr. Fantasy", "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys", etc. His band was "Traffic". Always a pleasure Britt...
@@davidburgess3882 I am very familiar with Steve Winwood. I met him once in Boscos pub, Nashville. It was 20 years ago. Steve was an investor in Boscos and lived in Nashville, maybe he still does.
thanks for letting me know!
Is Prince just going to play guitar? LOL, Depends on what you mean by "just"... ;-)
haha true!
Prince was ... the greatest musician of his generation.
of all time, i think
Britt, I loved your shock and awe reaction to Prince's performance, and especially @9:42 where you say: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is what I call making love to the guitar and making it weep at the same time."
Jeff Lynne of ELO. One of the greatest writers and producers in rock history. Check out some of ELO’s work
I will keep it in mind, thanks!
The Beatles were master songwriters Britt. The reason you love the part with the lyric "I don't Know Why-i-i" so much is because the song changes keys from A minor to A Major during that part. The Beatles(John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison) were absolute masters of songwriting, lyrics, and melody. This is a song George Harrison wrote.
You forgot Ringo Starr
Prince and Tom Petty are jammin together in Heaven!!
@@patriciaellis4848 Love Ringo's contributions to the songs, but Ringo wasn't really a songwriter.
Tom Petty loved playing music with other artists, when the show began he made sure everyone had their own showcase to show off their best talents they had. Tom Petty never really interrupted them, all he did was play the back up and watched other talent go.
Top 5 solos of all time. Very underrated for guitar playing. Probably because he was so good at everything else. RIP
You ruined the song by pausing all the guitar solos over and over again. It was just way too much.. But we still love you.
Jeff Lynne, the magic of ELO, is also the magical voice of this song.
You are spot on - Prince was a beautiful creature!
He was the BEST!!!!🎉🎉🎉🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Prince was a god among men. There will NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER be an artist like him. He was music incarnate.
Talents like Prince are exceptionally rare. He was an instrumental, vocal, and lyrical genius. Like another commenter said, he's the Mozart of our day.
Its original version was the Beatles, written by Beatles George Harrison whose son is in the background playing the guitar..RIP George, TOM and PRINCE ❤️
Prince didn’t get a chance to rehearse with the band and just went up and raw dogged this appearance and hit it out of the park. Miss you Prince. Rest well.
This is one of my favorite reaction videos ever! In my humble opinion, Prince was the most gifted artist of my lifetime. And in addition to the talent, every artist who has the ability to own their masters has him to thank for it!
Minnesota's finest - Prince and Bob Dylan! What a pair 😁
Prince should get a Nobel Prize too
Prince was a GENIUS
Prince killed it for sure
he plays the notes with his mouth on the guitar...he does this a lot
The high note were supplied by Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra (ELO)..George Harrison wrote the song and with Jeff, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison formed the Super Group - The Traveling Wilburys. The acoustic guitar player to the left of Tom Petty was George Harrison's son playing tribute to his father.
As others have said, this was written by George Harrison , of the Beatles. That' s his son Dhani (playing acoustic in the back) . Prince said his one goal with this was to make Dhani smile. I say *mission accomplished!*
Now thats SWAG!!! R.I.P. PRINCE❤❤❤❤❤
I may get flogged by die-hards for saying this, but 'PurpleRain' and the 'BATMAN sountrack' are right up there with 'Sign 'O The Times' for me.
The first because it tells the story of my teens (pretty much). The secong because it's all over the place and playfull - I just have the biggest smile on when done with this soundtrack 🙂
SO glad that I was fortunate enough to witness him live before he passed away ... R.I.P. my beautiful one
Best performance ever....
The amount of generational talent in that room is insane and for Prince to be PRINCE. I've watched this clip so many times and each time it blows my mind at how effortless he makes it look. He made it look so fn easy like putting on pants. The disrespect of not calling that guy a goat is insane.
I chuckled when you kept asking about Prince....and then "the Mic Dropped."
Best supergroup covering the best George Harrison song. Prince kills it, per usual, being a GOAT, but this whole performance gets me in ALL my feels 🫶🏼
Prince was the frikkin' Man! I don't care what anybody says. I really miss that guy.
Prince is one of the most talented artist. He taught himself how to play a left-handed guitar because of Jimmy Hendrix. You couldn't tell him an instrument couldn't be played a certain way, because he would show you how to do it. Now that's talent.
One of the best collaborations ever. It's amazing how George Harrison's son (acoustic guitar) looks so much like his father. It's originally a Beatles song. I grew up with the Beatles, and it's amazing to think that none of the Beatles knew how to read or write music.
Rolling Stone magazine didn't include Prince on their list of 100 top guitarists, this was Prince's answer to them .
Well said purple rain man Rip Prince and Tom 🙏✌💞
The world has lost a lot of great musicians, Prince and Tom Petty are right up there with Elvis. 💙😩
All of these other artists understood the Talent Prince was 😮😢❤😅😊 & each
So much incredible talent here, I love this.
The guy in sunglasses, and that special voise, is Jeff Lynn, the genius of Elictric light orchestra. If you love a great guitar weeping, you can not miss out on AC/DC’s performances. The guitarist in that band, Angus, can still be playing when falling down a flight of stares.
i think he's just gonna make his guitar weep like Mother Mary might be the single best thing I've ever heard I'm dying
Hey Brit, the first time I saw this video was at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in a theater they have with monster speakers all around. The room hummed and shook with the music. almost like an out-of-body experience. I loved it so much that I went back on line to see it again. I was not a Prince fan (I did love When Doves Cry), but I never knew he could play the guitar like this. He was amazing. You can see George Harrison's son smiling at his playing - a fitting tribute to his father. I loved your reactions too, perfect!
Guitar Gods, the lot of them. Then Prince, on another level.....
The young guy on Tom Petty's left playing acoustic guitar is Dhani Harrison, the son of the song's author. George Harrison wrote it while with The Beatles -- it was included on their 1968 album "The Beatles" which due to its distinctive cover quickly came to be known as the white album. On that original version, Eric Clapton was invited by George to play the guitar solo. Many of the artists in this performance also were part of the Concert For George which was a tribute to George after his death. This song was also played there and included Eric Clapton and George's fellow ex-Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. John Lennon had been assassinated decades before, so obviously he wasn't there. However, on Paul's recent tour, he "brought John back" by using footage from The Beatles famous rooftop concert for the song I've Got A Feeling, which was a song that Paul and John blended together two separate songs written by each so they both have singing parts. Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne were in the short-lived band The Traveling Wilburys with George Harrison, along with Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan plus unofficial member drummer Jim Keltner. The first live version of WMGGW was at George's 1971 benefit concert The Concert for Bangla Desh. George, Eric, Ringo and Jim were among the performers on that occasion.
Jeff Lynne (ELO & Traveling Wilbury’s) one of the most brilliant minds in music! He is the man!!
prince making it all about prince
Prince and Petty were two of my all-time favorite artists and to my knowledge, this is the only time they played together so this video is always bittersweet to me.
