Thanks for sharing your repair process video. Any electrical system is subject to failure and does not necessary mean a quality control issue. I’ve heard of expensive bikes having such problems when out of warranty and no longer having the replacement parts. What I saw from your repair is that they (Rad) still appear to have the replacement parts. If you find they no longer supply a wiring harness for your 2018 Mini, please let us know. Your fix did not appear to be overLy complicated. Great video!

1) Bad range
2) Wheels come loose. Just check the forums.
3) Bad climbing
4) RAD has tires and tubes that only RAD can deliver, for example for the RAD wagon 4. And these tires and tubes are always out of stock plus have high shipping fees.
5) Loose spokes and bad quality spokes. With good wheel building and good quality spokes = never problems.
6) Bad brakes. Brakes have to be adjusted all the time. With good brakes = never problems and better better brake performance.
7) Low quality parts in general. RAD are way overpriced for the bad parts they put on.
8) Too many people must/want upgrade RAD Power Bikes. One buys on first sight a relatively cheap bike and then have to upgrade. So the bike is not cheap anymore. This does not make any sense. RAD must deliver higher quality right away. This is pricier but better for customers.
9) Bad and very slow customer service
10) 60 or 70 and more pounds for an e-bike is way too heavy
Good vehicle, for example cars, run 200'00... 500'000 miles. To review RAD Bikes after 50, 700 or even 4'000 miles concerning the reliability is a joke! This milage is nothing. Regular bicycle do for example 200'000 miles with no issues/problems. An e-bike should do at least 100'000 miles without issues.
Also: Really ride hills with weight, not only flat streets, this shows the performance.
RAD Bikes are overpriced but okay to do low mileage. To really do miles and use it for example everyday for 3, 5...10 years the quality is way too bad. Surly, Yuba, Xtracycle and on are more expensive, but the quality lasts for decades. It's like with tools. Buy bad tools and you buy it at least twice. To buy a bad quality bike and after that buy another quality bike, does not make any sense.
USA, Europe people and so on buy and ride "Made in China" bikes and stuff. This is not intelligent, also not good for the environment. TREK USA Bicycles from the 1980s and 1990s for example were very, very good bicycles and "Made in the USA". USA, Europe people must build their own a quality bicycles and e-bikes. Bring the work and jobs back to the countries and continents where people actually live.

This is the number one reason why a backup bike is a must! When ebikes are busted the issue can often take some time before being resolved,gotta have a back up!

When did your Rover go down? What happened to cause the fork to warp? Sorry to hear of your bad luck. Rad really needs to get their quality back up. I am looking at alternatives to RAD as you know by the XP. I am now going to build my own bike as a result of not finding what I want at less than $3500.
