Hey curly. Why not use ambroxan first before layering with frangrance. Why do you do it after. I went to a perfume store today and they said molecule 02 first. Then fragrance after. Please explain.
@@kingjo1111 the first fragrance you put on will be the one that smells stronger. So if you want to wear one of your favorite scents and enhance it, you put the fragrance on first and then molecule 01 to enhance it. But if you really love the way molecule 01 smells, put that on first and then add a fragrance after. Whatever is closest to the skin will smell the strongest.
What is the difference or reason for using the layering molecules after, like why don't you use it first then your usual fragrance.

Really informative Curly
Not sure if anyone else already mentioned this, but it actually matters how much ambroxide you mix with the perfume alcohol. The maximum percentage that you can put in there is about 13%. If you use more, the ambroxan cannot dissolve anymore and it will crystallize, making the whole thing useless. I'm not sure what the threshold is for ISO-e Super, but there probably is one for that too. Also, ISO-e Super does actually change a perfume a lot when you layer with it. Just because you can't smell it yourself, doesn't mean it doesn't change the smell, because it really does. Even more so than ambroxan. ISO-e Super adds a smell like wooden pencil shavings, very airy and extremely fresh. Like cedar, just a lot fresher. It smells like clean laundry, this is because it is also used often in fabric softener (wasverzachter). I've layered ISO-e Super with Tom Ford Noir Extreme too, and it works, but what it does is add a LOT of freshness to Noir Extreme, and woodiness, which can be strange for such a sweet and gourmand perfume if you use too much. For some fragrances, layering with ISO-e Super doesn't work at all, it really clashes with the other scent, it doesn't mix. So it really stands out if you do that. =) Also, mixing ISO-e Super and Ambroxan creates a whole new smell, which is very interesting, but extremely synthetic smelling. I wouldn't recommend this, because it really adds a strange smell that clashes with most perfumes. I've tried this extensively. =)

Thank you for all of this great information. My chemicals came in today and I’m sad you don’t like the mix of iso-e and ambroxan, I was looking forward to mixing them haha. I also bought Javanol which i think is molecule 4, and a couple of citrus scents.
Ik heb la nuit de l’homme besteld van YSL. En het is dus zo dat die niet echt goeie performance heeft. Hij blijft ongeveer 4-5 uurtjes op je skin. Wat kan ik doen hieraan? Want je geeft aan dat het kan verschillen met elke geur (qua notes). Zou je de notes van La Nuit kunnen checken en me wat alternatieven geven met wat de beste optie is voor mij? Reviewer “School of scents” had ook een video over molecule 02 gemaakt. En hij mixte het met La Nuit samen. Maar zou toch een betrouwbare persoonlijke reactie van jou willen met of het echt mogelijk is. Molecule 02 begint vanaf 70 euro namelijk online 🥲🥲

There are different names of Ambroxan:
Ambroxide
Ambrofix
Ambrox Super
Ambroxan
You can use any of the ones listed above (Just different names from different manufacturers)
For Iso E Super you could use "Timbersilk" or "Sylvamber" too. They are a bit different smell but are the same Molecule as Iso E Super
Just to give some choices when u can't get normal Iso E Super and Ambroxide from the video

I tried it, and yeah, it works. I spray 1 spray fragrence, cover with ISO E Super or Abroxin and spray one more time over with fragrence. HOLY SHIT! I'm choking myself out with Bleu De Chanel EDP and Invictus Victory Elixir😅. ❤👍🏻

De Hekserij advices to use Sylvamber to recreate Molecule 01 because it contains more of the Gamma isomer than ISO E Super. Since Escentric Molecules uses ISO Gamma Super, which is restricted to only "real" fragrance designers, Sylvamber is a viable alternative. It will smell a little bit different that the original but stronger than with ISO E Super. I mixed 10 ml. with 40 ml. cosmetic hairwater and it's amazing!

If you buy Hedione and Heliotropium too, you can layer them or add them into decant bottles that have some florals (that have or compliment Jasmine) Initio Perfumes use them as aphrodisiacs. Problem is they are Jasmine like.

One thing I hate about fragrances is nose blindness aka olfactory habituation, that's when we can't smell our own fragrances after a period of time. I wish someone would come up with a way around that. Nothing frustrates me more when I wear one of my favorite fragrances and I get a compliment on it 3 hours later and I'm like, I'm happy you like it, I wish I could still smell it.

I agree with both molecules being great in layering combos. I really like to layer anything with Sauvage also because Sauvage is often a great complement to most fragrances (like Ombré Leather omg...) but I like it on it's own too.
Still checking out your old videos🙂 This video gave me the idea to start experimenting with premixing two different scents to get a GREAT scent. I combined 45% Franck Olivier Oud Touch with 55% Cremo Spice and Black Vanilla to get Franck Olivier's Oud Vanille. It's pretty spot-on with the sample I had of Oud Vanille. I use 8ml travel atomizers.
I don't have any weak performers right now as all my fragrances are 8 plus hours minimum. But I I'm going to repurchase CK One Shock. It's a beginner's tobacco fragrance that smells VERY expensive but will only last 4 hours tops. I will try mixing this one with a small amount of Molecule 01 to see if I can get a couple more hours on skin and clothes. Plus I will OVERSPRAY this one to the max. Thanks for posting this pro tip👍
Во-первых Molecule 02 ,помимо Амброксана в нем есть и Цеталокс (другая смесь изомеров того же вещества). Во-вторых в составе есть ингредиент, улучшающий диффузию (шлейф) аромата - Норлимбанол, без него аромат будет сидеть близко к коже. В-третьих для стойкости нам понадобится фиксатор и мускус, а для того, чтобы аромат преждевременно не испортился - антиоксидант.
Итак, на 100 мл спирта (или парфюмерной основы) нам понадобятся:
AMBROXAN 2,5 гр
CETALOX 2,5 гр
NORLIMBANOL 0,2 гр (или 3-4 капли)
FIXATIVE BASE 3 IN 1 KAE 2 гр (или 50-60 капель) / в нем есть и мускус и антиоксидант, что очень удобно
Берем бутылку со спиртом (проверяем что в ней осталось место для ввода вышеперечисленных веществ), добавляем вещества (амброксан и цеталокс сыпем сразу в кристаллах, ничего предварительно разводить не надо), норлимбанол и фиксатор отмеряем на весах или на худой конец в каплях. Настаиваем несколько дней, можно пару недель если терпения хватит. И Ваша личная Молекула 02 готова.

I just layered Dana's Tabu with Ambroxan. My God. I'm going to bottle it as a Male scent. WOW!
I can smell molecule 01 pretty good, it's one of the most beautiful scents I have ever smelled. Also, I can tell that it does change how a perfume smell if you mix it with other fragrances.

As soon as I walk into the room where the bottle is I can smell it and when I wear it I can smell it constantly all day even after showering. its really potent to me but I love it, it smells like a sweet but zingy woody patchouli on me like a more modern, younger less old man and dated but still masculine version of Ralph Lauren Polo green. But smells like a warm syrupy sandalwood on my missus its weird stuff. Its magic in a bottle Ive yet to try ambroxen on its own. But yea I find it strange that some people can’t smell it.
Idk how you can claim such abilities, as M 01 is a plain shit which enhance some of the perfume projection not alllll. I layer it with Burberry, it worked but when I layered it with Dior it decreased the perfume projection period instead of increasing it. And you cannot smell M 01, it’s aura not fragrance and iso e super has no f8888 smell

If you spray underneath your fragrance and also let it dry, your fragrance may potentially project more I suppose at least initially.
If you spray iso e super over the top of your fragrance, your fragrance will project less.
Iso e super is a fixative first, fixative tend to reduce projection rather than increase projection.
All that being said, you're quite right about making it at home being quite easy. These are two amazing smelling base notes and I use them regularly in my perfumes and as layering bases as well.

I used to wear axe dark temptation for like 10 years as my signature and started to feel like I’m getting to old to wear it. I tried tons of cologne and anytime I wore Invictus victory I would get some from my girl 😏. I tested this and it works 100% of the time instead of 60% of the time, every time. Thanks for the inspiration, I tried layering iso e super/ambroxin with La Nuit de l'homme today, ( Molecule01/la Nuit/molecule 02) usually I get 7 hours if I'm lucky but I'm 11+ hours In and its still very noticeable on my skin!! Skin scent but very detectable!

You can use a bit of teflon tape on the thread of the bottle (before putting the atomizer on) to slow down the alcohol from evaporating. Great tips. I've googled and the products are not that hard to find. I might look for 2 fancy bottles that I can reuse.

I have molecule 01 and something weird keeps happening it literally disappears out of the bottle on its own. Well that’s what I thought until I found out my missus has been pinching it. She hates fragrances and strong smells but absolutely loves this stuff she says it’s addictive. I like the stuff a lot too but I can only wear it on my arms because it gives me a banging headache. Ive never tried ambroxen on its own I’m assuming its similar to the zing left in the air by Sauvage, Aventus mont blanc and those types. Btw Molecule 1 layered onto ysl bleu electrique is 👌🤯 I always get the you smell good, fit blah blah type comments with that mix these days you even get random people sitting next to you sniffing you on the sly 😂

So... following your advise I bought like 500 grams of iso-e-super and I put a little on the body lotion I make for myself and let me tell you that it smells divine!!! I will keep doing more products with it and since I make my own shampoo and conditioner... well... I will report then :)

May be it is not the same, because Iso E Super consists of several isomers which each smell different. But your idea is great

I'm new to this concept but it's really interesting. I'm trying to figure out the method here. So no. 2 is for fragrances that are a bit too sweet and want to make more masculine, and project more. No 1 is for summery scents. Is that right? Great video by the way!
Summer citrus fragrances and weak performing frags you use the 01.
02 you use on frags that are sweet, lean femme, or that are a bit weak bit masculine also.
You really have to tey and see yourself on what fragrances it is good.👌💯

All Perfumers say these should be used or sprayed onto your skin First then spray the fragrance over it. I don't know why she says the opposite. Go to any site of a Fragrance Collector/Lover and they all say to spray Ambroxan first then spray your Fragrance over it. 💡🌌💥♥️

Ik heb het ook via hekserij besteld, zelfde items en verhoudingen. Voor mij nauwelijks effect. Zeer kort in iedergeval. Zowel no 1 als no 2. De geur van ambroxen is trouwens wel echt top.
