- My friend and coworker Jake (of Black Sheep Skid Steer) using his Bobcat skid-steer on the job site. What he's doing in the video is what he always does on the job site, nothing special for the video. He is very effective at completing construction projects quickly and saves us time and money in getting our jobs done. In his spare time he performs stunts and entertains crowds with his Bobcat.
Visit his CZcams channel at Black Sheep Skid: / @blacksheepskid5207

Here's a video of him operating a Kubota skid steer: • Skid Steer STUNTING (w...

You can always tell when someone’s been operating a machine for a long time because they know how to do the strangest shit you’d never think of lol.
That's true!
A person this graceful with the skid-steer probably trips over everything when walking. It's people like this that make people like me think I can go rent one and be good at it in no time. You make it look real easy.
Yes he does. I know what you mean.
Indeed your friend has skills! Fun to watch.
Thanks.
Probably the most versatile piece of equipment ever invented.
From my experience, I would say this, and the mini-excavator.
Agree
I drive the bobcat for a living and I have to say that guy is a great driver
I say it takes one to know one.
I love the look on non operators faces when they see something special!
Right? Especially the stuff this guy can do.
Really appreciate the talent this fellow has.
Me too, believe me.
People think this is showing off, but It's good to know skills like this, because you never know when you'll have to do something of the sort to get the job done.
That's exactly right.
I could watch a good operator all day long. its fascinating how they are one with their machine!
I couldn’t agree more.
Same here! They use their machines like an extension of their bodies
This dude is beyond good.
I agree. Good is normal. This guy is excellent.
I used to love being the bobcat guy on the job. It was fun.
Yep, especially if you're good.
водила бобика реально крут в работе!
Очень приятно было смотреть.
Передай ему мои восхищения его работой и заботой о бобике.
Yes, he does this for a living, and yes he is a legal citizen of the U.S.
@@SouthwestORV я бы 100 раз поставил ему Лайк.
Yes, he's an owner operator.
At the end of the day this guy does his job, and does it well! Excellent video!
Thanks, Mike. I agree - he does his job well.
... and would you believe it's only his first time! 😉
Yep, that’s why he’s so slow ;)
He operates very smoothly... nice !.
Oh yes, and he works miracles with that little machine.
Im an operator, and i give this guy props. I have never tried this, time to test my skills and the machine too.... hold my beer!
Yes, he deserves prop. He's awesome.
Lol
Just be careful and patient
that guy gots skills
Yep, and girls like guys with skills!
That guy gonna catch someone one day😢
When the trailer was up dumping it would have made more sense just to tap it with the bucket
That was freakn awesome.
Wish we had guys like you at my company. Make life so much easier.
Yes, he makes the jobs go quickly and turn out right.
What is your company
Hatch Industries.
Great operator, Thanks for everyone sharing the diesel trick. Im working on my driveway next month and that tip is helpful.
Yessir!
Use a lawn sprayer nozzle and fill with diesel for even spread, especially with your rakes shovels, if your tools are getting clumps of cold Ashphalt spray some diesel on them and stick it in the hot Ashphalt , comes off like butter
Someone give that guy a promotion 👍🏼
agreed
promote to what? a bigger skid steer? this guy is in his element.
They will never promote him; they will just say "he is too good at his job"
The nice thing is, he is an owner-operator, so he's already at the top. There is no more promotion when it's your own company.
Raise is salary
За штурвалом сын Боба,его родил Боб,сын не подвёл отца, семья Боб Кэт гордится им!👍👏
Yes, nobody does it like the Americans do. I agree 100%.
Well, now he is just showing off........great job
Believe it or not, he actually works like this. And he enjoys it!
10 out of 10 on that, what an operator!!
I couldn't say it better.
Dude , this guy is awesome .
He is awesome, and invaluable on the job site.
Dale Allen bunədi şry
Wow i wish i can drive like that like this guy amazing skills on point good job !
Yes, don't we all.
You and me both 😆 Lol
He is one with the skid steer
You, are right.
You sir, are a true professional operator.
He certainly is.
Smooth as can be. Impressive
Yessir, he is very smooth.
Well done. Great operator. Experience shows.
Well put.
Damn he's good
Yessir.
Okay... I know how to get my front legs up, but the back ones!!? This guys amazing!
Yep, he's pretty good!
Great operator. Very smooth and confident on those controls
Yessir.
Expert doesn't even begin to describe what this is
I agree. He has gone beyond expert, but only because he loves it and this is what he does all day every day.
Somewhere an OSHA manual just burst into flames.....
...and productivity finally happened.
Lol...
Damnnnnnn, that was impressive !
Yessir. Or...yes ma'am.
Now that’s a professional driver
Yes, he does it all day every day as his profession.
As a an inspector I would reject your hot mix, why? you did not apply tact coat as primer.
As an inspector, we would reject YOU. The practice of applying "tack" is debated amongst professionals for simple asphalt joints where hot mix is being placed on prepped base, jointing existing asphalt. We use tack coat for many applications, but this is not one of them. Our patches have held up for 10+ years without issues.
When the boss is off the property
Luckily in his case he is the boss, owner operator, so he runs his machine like this all day.
this is what happens when you love what you do
Correct. And he does love what he does for a living - operate the skid steer.
This guy is awesome….wonder what he was like as a kid!!❤😮🎉
He was cool, and pushed the limits.
Now thats the way you do it
Yep.
@@SouthwestORV ain't got time for pussy OSHA clipboard warriors to get in the way of a job being done
awesome skills. Most of what he did would get him fired where I work. They have no sense of adventure.
king of the world yep
Yeah, in smaller business it's applauded because it's more efficient and effective. In bigger business it is a liability.
He the best so far I seen on youtube
I agree. He best I ever saw anywhere!
When I do that it’s because I screwed up. 😂😂
Yep.
That's allot of practice and I mean years. And dammit man, save some work for the shoveler's haha...they need to earn their paycheck too 😂
No...no the shovelers don't mind. :)
haha...right!
Jay Hunter 'a lot'
Viral Clown .....That's good to know that you have no life. Looks like you have plenty of time to check other people's spelling. I already have auto correct screwing it up for me. Thanks for caring! If it wasn't for people like you who have nothing going on in their world then the rest of us wouldn't make it without you losers. hahahaha
Just sick of everyone spelling it like you.
That is true art!!!
It certainly feels that way during a job that needs to be done right, and quickly.
Damn I suck with a skid steer. It’s mind boggling to even watch someone so smooth
Right?!
Man knows his machine
Yes he does, as well as any man ever knew his machine. He's an owner operator and does this all day, every day.
Spraying diesel on the bed helps I heard
What you have heard...is true.
Smooth!!! Well done.
Yes, he's very smooth.
Very impressive, I wish I could drive my bobcat half as well as he does his.
Yes, he makes it look fun.
Pretty impressive! I wish I knew how to do cool stuff
Yes it is. Start practicing something cool! This took him years to learn.
Sorry, no insult, but nothing he has done in this video is amazing! Anyone with experience with a skid steer could do the same
Shawn Jarman agreed I was in a so field and saw this ancient ole black dude do some crazy shit my mind was blown away I thought I was seeing g things it asked how did you do that he said it's a extension of his body and have been operating for over 40plus years.
The key word you used is experience. I have none, have never sat in one. If you can operate one as good as this guy did, congratulations. I was just commenting that people can make it look so easy and the reason is "experience".
Shawn Jarman your a jealous hater. I'd bet anything that you couldn't do this.
I guess...it's perspective then, and in that case I agree with you. I see professional athletes do amazing things, but like you say, they are not truly amazing in a sense because anyone with experience can do it.
He's either hired or fired, Either way he's a badass.
True. And he's hired. That bobcat is on a job site every day, making somebody money and getting the job done.
nevertoooldtohavefun, for sure, I'd hire him!
🤣🤣 the replies to the comments are priceless. But that dude has some serious thought skills for real.
In real life he's a blast to talk to. Down-to-earth dude.
"I'll sweep it off"... NOPE....."I GOT THIS"!!
I was going to shovel it off. He was like, get out of the way.
typical ford diesel the hood is up
Funny comment, but the hood is up in order to run jumper cables to the hydraulic motor on the trailer for the lift.
Отлично ,превосходно упровляете , машиной 👍
Yes, he never operates on an empty stomach.
Most would throw a couple of guys up there with shovels....This guy is Awesome!
We tried that but the asphalt was stuck to the bed floor, which is why he climbed up there to scrape it out.
Looks like they welded additional plates of steel on the bucket to increase the volume of material it can scoop! Badass idea
Yes, it works well.
Now go rake that cold asphalt 😂
That's the best part!
nevertoooldtohavefun If he was a good machine operator you would not have to rake
Best operator
Fo sho
Outstanding!
Jes.
I was driving this bobcat very nice skeet loader
That's funny. POSER ALERT! But, you do kinda look like Jake.
This was damn impressive! Anyone know how this guy got started running the skid-steer?
I do, he told me about it. He grew up in a construction family. When he was grown and married, he had a dream of just owning a truck and a skid steer and being his own man/company. So he made it happen.
Thanks for the reply. I learned to run alot of this equipment when I got the odd job here and there from people not showing up for work. I'm thinking about buying a skid steer of my own and doing more work i'm also thinking about getting an excavator but not sure if I want to dedicate the money into it just yet. This was an awesome video thanks for sharing :)
You're welcome. If there's a local demand, I know it can be done. There are several guys in this area who have made a living out of it. The two three that come to mind immediately are backhoe and skid-steer operators.
@@SouthwestORV I live in southern California and would love to learn how to operate equipment like this skid steer and excavator. Do I have to go to school for that?
No school will teach you this. You have to spend years behind the controls of your own machine.
Thing has wooden sides, u know that guy is good
Yessir, he’s good.
It's good until the drive belt breaks, then you are really having fun, I was trying to get up a flatbed and the belt broke just as I was climbing up. Boy did I have a hard time getting out of that mess.
I don't think he's had that happen to him...yet.
Hopefully it never does. I think he's awesomely talented in a skid steer
and hope he can continue his stunts for decades. I know how much
excitement people can get, especially kids from watching skid steer
stunts. I have showed off many times but never had the nerve to climb up
higher than a flatbed truck. Plus being my own mechanic I am reluctant
to stay up so long that I will starve the engine of oil or have the
hydraulic fluid cavitate and damage pumps or motors.

I think there is truth in this.
I’ve been doing it since I was 18 the secret to that is tighten up the seatbelt
There you go!
Good job 👍 I do that every day in my job i work in the bay area in California
Should've sprayed a little diesel in the bed before putting the asphalt in. ;)
If you watch the video again, you'll see in the video that I mentioned the diesel bottle ran out at the hot plant, and there was no other diesel on hand. Gotta get the job done.
Most plants don't allow diesel anymore. They have soapers now.
This guy is such a good operator that he will make the service life of a skid steer go from 5000hrs to 1000.. SMH, the machines pay your bills.. use them as intended...
It's his machine, owner/operator. He has been running machinery most of his life. He says that operating the way his does is actually not as hard on the machine because most of the destructive forces come from people operating roughly, and skidding the machine around. Running on two wheels eliminates all of the skid forces and wear/tear.
Southwest ORV I have about 5000 hours of Skid-steer time myself, and I totally agree. I always said the reason they put 4 wheels on a skid steer is so you have a choice which 2 you want to run on.
So many salty people in the comments lol. The dude is definitely a smooth operator. A little but of a show off lol but IT IS a video on CZcams, so he's gotta show his a game.
Also nothing wrong with what he's doing. People are commenting how he wasn't working efficiently. Hahaha maybe not to the blistering pace of a CZcams commenter, but to the average person on a job site or in a shop I think he's doing alright.
Agreed.
Until he breaks something than he's an asshole, lol
right? Although in his case, he's an owner-operator.
Damn I got some catching up to do! Lol I can barely back up a skid off the gooseneck without near shiting myself
Right? He's next level.
😂😂😂 same
I don't think expert is a strong enough word 👍
I agree, he is a superior operator.
superlative is a word that comes to mind
Quality mate 👍
Thanks! I agree.
Im yet to learn this ability
Im owner operator in los angeles ca
763 bobcat thanks for the vid
Most never will.
hes good
Yes, he is.
Dudes got serious skills
Correct.
He’s a 👍🏽 O.G on that thing
Yep, he's invaluable on the job site.
Take it easy on him! Its his first day!
Ha! Good one.
Like a boss😎
Yep, and he does it in flip-flops.
Rookie... lol... nice man.....
Yes, this was his first time operating a skid-steer. Total noob.
Man! Can this guy drive a skid or what?!
That's all he does, 6-7 days a week. He's an owner operator.
Pretty good skid operator. I remember the days when I could have fun on my skid and do cool stuff like load it the back of dump trucks etc. Now we have a big contract and everything is safety oriented. Hard had, vest, eyewear at all times. So the only time i can mess around is at the shop.
The luxury of working for yourself, in rural USA.
@@SouthwestORV Yep, Long hours, hard work, lots of headaches, but in the end its all worth it.
He's good, real good
Yes, he is.
Spray diesel in the box. The asphalt comes out
Ran out of diesel at the hot plant. It happens sometimes.
Do that with out a sit belt! Lol
It wouldn't go so well.
Well done!
Yes, he makes it look easy...because it is easy for him!
Honestly would love to try this but there are some risks...OBVIOUS RISKS
Yes, and most people won't want you to do it in their machine. He is an owner operator so he can do as he wishes.
I mean damn. He's got skill.
Oh yes. Great operator.
not at all, you clearly have no idea what you are talking about
That man has skills!!!
Yes he does.
Very good.
I agree.
I wish Bobcat stayed with the drive handles straight to the floor rather than the electric controls. You could do so much more from wheelie control to steering. electric controls have their advantages but you can't even take one hand of to drink coffee with the new controls. Before if you let one hand off it would still go forward without turning.
Its not too bad. I generally wouldn't drink anything when driving. I would stop and go in for the tea
I usually just use my knee to hold it forward if I need to grab something.
Nick Korte you can buy 2017 Bobcat hydraulic over hydraulic skid steers... just need to order it that way... too bad they are owned by Doosan now though.
Doosan isn't up to a lot. Case fucked up a lot of things I wish they didn't buy out good and even better company's such as poclain their were the machines to have one time even made the biggest digger in the world at one stage but yet not many people has even heard of them. They bought out too many good companies eg David brown, international and their part of new holland
elgandos2 Yeah same here. The old style Hydraulic controls would let you turn with one joystick also. Some things should just never change!
Молодец,шельма на бобе!!
Yes, he's an owner operator.
Thats why you diesel the bed before getting loaded.
Yes...unless the bottle is out of diesel and the hot plant is about to load you. Gotta do what you gotta do.
Now dat boy good! Dat boy really good!
Dat boy da best yo!
Pritty Dam cool bro
You're right...so is your stang.
I never have to scrape my trailer if there is enough diesel. It's always falls right out.
That's right. And if there's not enough diesel, you DO have to scrape it.
Very good driving! Expert
Absolutely.
That guy is master Bobcat operator!
Yes, he is.
