@@davidfoshee1914 Hertl worked very hard to prove himself on the sharks also. Even with his big contract and being on a bad team he still worked very hard when he did not have to.
On the knights he can finally become a PPG player. Hertl proved he could be the captain of the sharks but obviously some knights fans really do not know much about him and he needs to show them. Hertl is better than his sharks stats.

The first 40 minutes were not the best for Vegas however in the 3rd period they seemed to kick into playoff mode. Glad to see Ben Hutton back in the lineup for his 2nd game in a row and 2nd win in a row for the Knights. Huh? He is also the guy who started the awesome play that led to the Karlsson third period tie goal. Knights seem to win when he plays and as an offensive style defenseman who can score and has over 500 games in the NHL, I don’t know why they would pick him to sit out any game. He should be one of the regulars.
Honestly, they are just so loaded. I'd sit Hague over Hutton, though, if Pietrangelo returns.
They overplayed Georgiev. They'll pay the price in the playoffs.

One hell of a comeback. That third period and OT was awesome to see in person. Can’t wait for the playoffs! Lots of good teams, I think all are legit contenders. I also think they’ll be some major upsets.

What a comeback, the Av's are a good team but defensively their susceptible and it showed right here, 3 to 0 lead you can't give that away, especially in the 3rd period.
The book on the Avs is: attack the front of the net. They're soft as marshmallows down there. And going high on Georgiev usually works.

I don't think Georgiev is a bad goalie, but there is no reason why he should be the busiest goalie in the league. Goalies usually have a certain limit of games they can play before they hit the wall, and Georgiev has clearly hit his wall.
Annunen has better numbers by far, yet the Avs just keep putting Georgiev out there most of the time.

40 has shown weaknesses all season in two areas: 1) 1v1 he freezes & gives the shooter too much time. Needs to be more aggressive & make a big save. 2) mental toughness/reset. When things go bad, he can't stop negativity. There are many easy techniques to help him.stay focused, calm, engaged, & successful.
I also think there might be a disconnect with his teammates. Many instances where he: berates his defensemen after a goal & goes crazy in the crease breaking his stick. I'm not sure if the core believes in him & even likes him anymore (pure speculation).
Annunen is gonna get playoff games for sure.

Georgiev in net after that last embarrassing game? If the Avs didn't have the offense to bail the guy out game after game he wouldn't have as many Ws as he does, probably the luckiest starting goalie heading into the playoffs but he's not going to steal any games for the Avs. He's their weakest link and the Avs D isn't as good as they were last year, the Avs need lots of offence consistently to have any chance to win a Cup, like 4+ goals a game consistent, any slump in team scoring or facing a strong defence and/or an elite goalie is going to F them up.
Georgiev needs to be better but AVs D is abysmal and team is undisciplined First round exit
The knights won a cup without a #1 goalie so you just got to believe.

This is proof that "Vegas Golden Refs" has never been a thing, in fact quite the opposite, and often! This has been the mostly blatant attempt to fix the game by Toronto.
I am a huge Hertl fan but you got to be kidding me. Hertl clearly touches his stick at 3:29 while the goalie is still mostly in the paint. I am not sure if how Hertl touched him had any impact on if the goalie could save it but Hertl should avoid touching any part of a goalie when he is still in the blue part.
The knights only argument here is any way Hertl touched the goalie had no impact on him making the save anyway and obviously some will disagree with that. It would have been smarter for Hertl to avoid him though.
The refs were giving other teams like a goal a game with missed calls and bad non calls vs knights for 4 games straight ending like 3 games ago. I'm fair when it comes to penalties, and most of the times the refs just kind suck for both teams. Then you get games where there have been almost no calls and then 1 bad call or call you didn't like is made and people think it's fixed.

what part about _HERTL NOT IN THE PAINT_ do you not understand? It doesn't matter if his stick made contact with the goof, the goalie came out of the paint, Hertl was not in the paint. The goal should have counted.

Once the knights and sharks played in the playoffs and MAF was fully out of the paint and Logan Couture bumped him and it was a penalty on the sharks. I thought that call was awful and Couture was even hit by the stick of Mcnabb before he bumped MAF. The refs only cared about Couture stopping MAF from making the save and did not care at all that both Couture and MAF were not in the blue at all.

It is cowardly to change the subject like this and has no basis on this topic. Hertls contract was awful for the sharks the moment they gave it to him. His contract did not help the sharks win or rebuild and the team was already bad when they gave it to him.
The only thing I am sore about the trade is the sharks traded 2 extra 3rd round picks and the retained cap and the sharks probably would have been smarter to trade him in the offseason. The sharks got 6.7 mill of cap space from the knights to help the rebuild and do not have to worry about Hertl getting hurt though. Hertl and Couture both need to be traded.

So you can back the puck in and as long as you have control of it, it’s not offsides? That seems extremely exploitable. Avs probably should have traded for a goalie at the deadline. Fourviev has earned that name.
It's always been that way.
You can even control it behind you while facing forward and enter before the puck. The key word is control tho, you can't be fumbling it. Either way it's not very exploitable because both are hard to do, which is why you never see it.

3:17 at 0.25 speed it looks like his right skate is on the redline and that Hertl is already touching his shoulder and if you were not looking at their skates it looks like Hertl is already touching him when he should not be and hertls left skate is partly in the blue.
Look at 3:48 to 3:49 his right skate still appears in and Hertl is clearly touching him.

Голодные показали что не зря являются обладателями кубка. Бились сегодня против жуков, судей, да и кипер помогал врагу, и всё таки победили. На повторе видно что голодный не пересекал вратарскую, это кипер жуков вытянул руку и нападающий её задел- никакого нарушения не было. Киперы голодных кубковые матчи практически на себе вытащили, но в нынешней регулярке их колбасит не по детски.
