@@trvman1 Crosby still loves playing and said he'll play until he gets the same sign as Gretzky. 31p in 29g. He's signing another contract. He's needs 90p to tie Lemieux and after that's it's all bonuses. Obviously I just sound like a douchebage that thinks he knows everything but I would put money on the fact that at this point, with his place cemented as one of the best captain team player and leader ever in the game, he's going to chase individual stats. This is coming from a Caps fan.
I think this game has had some of the most beautiful plays I've seen by the Leafs. No hogging, beautiful passing just great teamwork and great goaltending. It showed us what they are capable of.
IMHO I feel like this is what we were expecting from the Leafs this season consistently every game with the talent they have, especially at the forward position.

Yeah. Can't even watch the LFR as Steve is going to be insufferable. Penguin made some major defense blunder decisions. Leafs are a very good team and their major vulnerability is famously psychological.

Defense was okay but not great, they still allowed 39 shots on goal. But Jones was stellar
Was looking for Matthews the whole game. He needs to keep up the pace and netting those goals! Great game by Toronto but I was on pins and needles thinking it was too good to be true.
Let's see if they can pull off a stanley cup win in my grandpa's lifetime.

Knives & Domi!! KD played good. I loved how Knies immediately went into payback mode on that hit. Our team is gonna need backbone in the playoffs and the new guys are showing the way.
Easily Toronto's most dominate game of the year. The amount of posts and bars they hit and the goal which was waved off, it could have easily been 10-0.
Fun fact: the leafs have outscored their opponents 12-1 in the last 4 periods and an overtime dating back to Thursday against Columbus.

By far the most complete game by the Leafs this year!
Samsonov is a headcase. Like Gump said, “you never know what you’re going to get”.
Their going to let sammie go by the end of the year, guaranteed.
Use Jones and woll in a tandem and send Sammy to the minors to develop or trade him. When the get their D core back they should be more consistently dangerous as well.
We have a great regular season team. That's where it ends though.

@@LuvaEski Sammy has been letting in garbage lately. Defense hasn't been stellar, but he's gotta be making more saves. He's playing terribly
@@LuvaEski Sammy has not been playing well man, there's no sugar coating this. Yes, the defense at times have let our goalies out to dry, but Woll and Jones have made key saves on these situations from time to time.
Sammy has not been the guy this whole season so far. We know that he can be great if the defense plays perfectly in front of him, but so can most goalies nowadays.
Unless he starts PLAYING well, regardless of the defense, I really don't see him as our starter for the time being.
Clearly something is not right with him, but unfortunately we can't WAIT for him to be solid

The Leafs just simply killed it tonight. This was an awesome win. We did everything right. Maybe not perfect but a lot better. Proud of Knies, Jones & Domi

Penguins get absolutely TROUNCED by the Leafs & The final score could have easily been 12-0 or 13-0 for Toronto with all the posts & cross bars they hit, & to top it off, the Leafs stopped using their top power play unit in the 2nd & 3rd period...On a different note, Jones should clearly be the Leafs starting #1 goalie moving forward over Samsonov...
If he continues to play like this and Samsonov continues to struggle, absolutely. Once Woll returns, Jones could be the backup if Samsonov doesn't get his act together.
Rielly hit 2 posts, Marner hit a post, Gregor with the partial break that prob would've counted if they challenged, JT had a bunch of really good chances. Yeah could've easily been double digits

Marty is not a #3 goalie. He's been to the finals. He has experience sign him for next year Brad. The D like Timmins blocking shots was great tonight.
D was almost flawless. Blocking shots, good positioning, clearing the front of the net immediately, crisp passes out of the zone. A beauty of a game all around.
Marty was calm and not out of position. The D is much better than 10 games ago.

the pass from our goalie was an assist on the goal that got the goal scoring goalie pulled and stop stopping the goals against. 💙

Leafs had a PP in the 3rd and they deadass put on 4th liners for it, that's gotta be humiliating. Domi and Bertuzzi both coming up big, Brad's UFA singings are starting to look a lot better (we don't talk about Reaves).

Very solid performance by Martin Jones. Veteran who saved the day in the crease.. Who would say last season, that in this season will be no 1 unknown Woll with veteran Jones backup. I wouldnt be in Samsonov skin now.
Crosby needs to consider moving teams if he wants a shot at having another run towards the cup in the remainder of his career.
