- Here's a tutorial on how I do my eyelash extensions at home and take care of them. It's inexpensive, easy and can last for a few weeks. Of course this isn't going to be the same as getting them professionally done, but it's a great option for those of us who are on a budget. *Disclaimer: be careful when you wear these and do them at your own risk! They can potentially cause damage to your lashes. Personally, I only do these once in a while for special occasions, and I remove them after a week.

I tried this a while back, with cluster lashes just because I though it'd be easier. It lasted for like a week, and I lost 60% of my real lashes lol. I used normal adhesive for strip lashes and I glued the cluster lashes under my real ones. Now I'm looking to get extensions done where they glue individual lashes to each lash.

+Jeannette Haynes As long as you're really patient with it and the extensions are gripping properly onto your real lashes, it should work perfectly!
We are worth every penny we charge! I have spent thousands on my education. I'm a licensed esthetician and a certified lash extensionist . We use medical grade glue, isolate each lash, gage its diameter and millimeter, so as to not break off your own lashes. See how yours look after wearing them. I've had the unfortunate task of rebuilding the very lashes of clients that you think are too expensive.
+Denise Vermeulen I'm definitely going to include an annotation in the description, because I realize I didn't include that disclaimer. I know these aren't the best thing for your lashes, which is why I would never do them more than once or twice a year for special occasions. (By the way, I never had a bad experience with these during the few times I used them...) I actually did get professional lash extensions recently because I wanted to have them more permanently. And no one is saying that the work that lash extensionists do is easy and/or not worth the price. But the reality is that not everyone has hundreds of extra dollars to spend on superficial things like eyelash extensions. If you want an affordable alternative for one special occasion, and you're doing it at your own risk, I don't see the problem. Everyone is entitled to do whatever they want with their own lashes, hair, skin, etc. But I do agree that they should be informed of the potential risks.

I went to esthetician school and learned eyelash tabbing and while I can lay down a bomb set on other people within half an hour to 45 minutes, If I am going to do them on myself I have to allow myself at least an hour. and I was typically using the regular eyelash glue on myself and practicing more on in my relatives im finally comfortable enough to use the stronger glue haha.

I appreciate your video! Thank you! I have professional last extensions and I've decided that I've had enough spending SOOOO much money on fills. I bought a set of Ardell and I started filling in the gaps. I seriously spend about $160/month on just FILLS with a licensed "lash extension" specialist and although I love the way the look, I really can't afford it anymore. So thank you, for putting on this video and giving insight to an alternative to lash extensions. (BTW, I'm going on one week now with some clusters and they are holding up fine. I have a lot of nice comments that they look fuller and they can't believe how much money I'm saving!)
Also, do you recommend the knotted clusters or no knots? :)

Yeah they do but u also have pretty curly lashes as well so it just enhanced them ! great job I wanna do them now ! what if my lashes are straight though should I just curl them first ?

I just went to the store to but this kit because they look so pretty on you, omg they are so hard to put on but when they are on they do not stay at all they are horrible!
+Selena Falcon They're tricky. You just need to make sure they're gripping onto your lashes properly and that you give them enough time to dry before you mess with them. It takes practice to get it right.

Will soap take them off? I understand that messing with them can make them come off but does soap loosen the glue as does oil?

how long does it last?
these aren't meant to stay on your eyelashes for days I thought? they're false lashes, they come off before you go to bed. couldn't that glue cause an infection?
+Deebelair If you use regular lash glue, then yeah they'll just stay on for the day. This particular glue is different and is meant to last for weeks. It dries to a complete solid, so it's not like it can hold on to bacteria or anything, so I don't see how it could cause an infection...
Ohhh, interesting. I've never seen that in stores. I'll have to check. that would explain why there's a separate bottle to remove the lashes.

Amy Poon yeap, but are just false lashes, are completely different to lash extension. false lashes for so long would for sure damage your natural lashes, as are something heavy stuck where it shouldn't. lash extension is a adding as it says an extension to every lash. so the title for this video is misleading and not right.

Not safe. Doing lash extensions yourself is extremely dangerous. Extensions should always be applied to ONE SINGLE LASH. Anymore than one lash will cause irritation when they begin to grow resulting in damage to your natural lashes. Mink eyelashes are very expensive but synthetic range form $80-150. Much safer than doing them ourself and they will last much longer. Always great to safe money but don't do it at the expense of your eyes!!
