  • "Quick Steps" cadence beat from 1862, Bruce and Emmett's Camp Duty. I've added some flams out of habit. I converted one figure in the last 8 bars of 2/4 to a flamacue just because I like it that way. Thank you for visiting my CZcams Channel.
I've written a book about the evolution of the American Snare Drum Style.

Adding a flam here and there is grounds for a court marshall! Ha! Great job as usual. I often say that if Iived where this
style of drumming was prevalent, I would definitely audition for one of the fife & drum corps for sure. Ed- did you know that N.A.R.D is up and running? Mark Beecher e-mailed and he is putting together a second N.A.R.D. book of solos.

Yes, I know Mark. A new N.A.R.D. Solos book is a great idea! I wonder if it will be limited to the 1936 "standards" or if it will include hybrids?

I checked today with Mark Beecher. The new NARD book solos can include hybrids. Are you going to submit something?
