- "The Downfall of Paris" from The Drummer’s and Fifer’s Guide, by George B. Bruce and Daniel D. Emmet, 1862. This tune was played by Union Army Fifers & Drummers during the Civil War. I really enjoy playing this Cooperman "Liberty," rope drum.
I've still got my eye on that red TDR in the backround. Ha! I recently bought a late 60's
Rogers Dynasonic silver sparkle 10 X 14 marching snare and put the gold coated
Black Swamp wrap around snares on it and the drum sounds great! Like an old
gut snare. Evans bottom and Remo top. Nothing like the sounds produced by the
"real" snares drums from the past. The older I get the more I hate the sound of the
free floaters. Virtually no one can tune those things. End of sermon. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for posting! As a relatively new drummer I learn a lot from watching these videos as as well as simply enjoying the artistry. Love the hat btw
I'm glad you are learning to drum, don't stop! Thanks for the compliment on my hat (Union kepi.)
When arranged well, drum rudiments create a percussion medley.
Cool. Love the hat!!!
Sounds good dude!

Love your videos!! I have a Liberty model as well. I’d like to do some maintenance. What heads do you recommend? Thanks!!
Thanks! Right now on my Cooperman, I have a Remo Fiberskyn batter. I intend to replace that with a Swiss-made, Rotex Kevlar head.
