- The second week of April 2022 was a real busy one! Pretty much 5 round trips a day from our materials yard to our gravel pit and back. I ran our Superliner for 4 days and back in the W900 on Friday.

Happy Easter My friend love that Superliner. Just Purchase a 1985 Mack Superliner RW713 WITH that V8 AND I put in a new Super 10Speed it used to have a 15 Speed but that Transmission was destroyed and the Super 10 works Great just put in some LED Headlights and Fog Lights and got Dayton Spokes Tires
I bet that V8 pulls
@@TheBostonTrucker Mike , that V8 is a Beast Brother and that 10 speed is smooth as ever
Can't beat a Mack truck love them
You got that right
E6 -350 & 12 speed . One of my favorite drivetrains in a Bulldog .
Great video Mike .
Mack
It's a great combo
Love that Mack no def no electronics on the motor she just gets the job done what a beauty. That Mack pinnacle is a beauty to I love that style of Mack always looks good
What's def? 😂
@@TheBostonTrucker I heard it’s blue that’s all I know haha

@@TheBostonTrucker Thank you!
Great start to Easter Sunday, cup of coffey and some Boston trucker!👍👍👍
Thanks dude 😄
Top shelf as always Mr Mike! Keep the Shiny side up Sir and have a great easter with the family - hope your dad is doing better
Thank you my friend 😊
Still one of my favorite daycab KW's I see going down the road. Have a great Easter Mike ✌
Thank you Happy Easter 🐇
I sure miss this ride. And soon you will get a brand new truck. Interesting times!
You and me both!
Hey Boston trucker how are you doing today my friend so I love watching our CZcams videos they are very educational videos and keep up the good work and I love old school tracks they are very educational tracks and l like them aot
If I had one at work, you'd never get me out of that Superliner. Currently trying to get from a 2014 Peterbilt 367 into a 1997 KW T800, but they might not decide to fix it.
At one job, we used to have an '83 Mack R, and drivers used to fight over who got to drive it for the day.
T800's are nice trucks.
Riding CZcams shotgun brings be back to being a kid riding with grandpa in his R686.
City trucking is the coolest
Happy Easter mike that old puppy dog needs taller stack's and alum wheels glad you got your k dub back great video as always mike stay safe
I agree 💯
Super sweet truck! Shoutout from commifornia 😂. Wish we could still use these older trucks
👋💯
Definitely love when you run the old dog awesome video
Happy to hear that!
I used to own a 88 Mack 10 wheeler great truck
Indeed
i have driven just about every truck there is there aint nothing like the look and feel of a superliner if it had an e9 it would be perfect but you cant beat the old mechanical engines and longevity of the old macks those trucks were meant to last forever the kenworth is nice but after 5 years it will be falling apart
E9 would be a game changer.
I love the look of the Kenworth and I had a Kenworth of my own It was a very good truck but I just think the new stuff has so much plastic in it and even the quality of the metal they build the frames with now aren't what they used to be I just can't see them lasting long with all those electronics and cheap plastic parts it's really a shame what a new truck cause my boss ordered a new western start tri-axle and it caused over $250,000 and we could spend $30,000 on an old Mack and it would do the same job and make us money instead of costing a bunch of money
My great uncle has a Mack Superliner as a heavy duty tow truck, then he had added a Peterbuilt rotator, then a Mack R flat bed, then a Freightliner. He was going to teach me how to drive truck and get my CDL but he pass away before I was 18 unfortunately.
Stone age from the frame rail's up.
Totally badass,,indestructible from the frame rails down.
I drove a Mack transfer unit 350hp with an 8 speed with a deep reduction. A 15 speed would've been better, but the engine pulled really well. Surprising actually. There was a hill, Altamont pass, I'd been driving a Pete with a brand new out of the crate 3406B. It pulled the hill Westbound at 40 mph. This Mack pulled at 36-37 mph at 80,000 lbs.
My hot rod '65 Pete model 281 (had Rockwell SQ-100 3.70 gear's with a 12513. A Cummins hot rodded so far beyond insane, and design parameters, pulled that hill at 55 mph with 6 K-rail.
6 K-rail weigh 48,000 to 50,000 lbs. Either side. Or, 51,000 lbs of asphalt shingles. Everything else I hauled was light.
@@unclealansyard5176
There's a guy with a small window Peterbilt that's got a Mack V-8 in it. Hot rodded. These engines will go 1,000hp, and not even sweat. 1693TA Cat, too.
C-15, and 16 too. Can squeeze 1,000 hp out of an NTC Cummins without much trouble.
Happy Easter Mike. Awesome video great driving shifting skills. Brings back old memories. Nothing better then looking out over a hood of a Superliner.
Thank you Steve 😊
Love watching skilled drivers at work.
Thank you Magnus
Nothing like the growling sound of a Mack !!!
Your either a MACK man or you ain't !!! I've drove several of em and I loved em. Nothing like a good running old dog !!!
Superpooch.
Well said!
Good ole Super Dog
Love the old Mack. Ever since I started watching this channel I’ve been becoming more of a truck nerd paying attention to what’s on the road.
Truck nerds are the only cool nerds.
Its my favorit mack!!!! The max superliner !!!💯💯💯💯💪💪💪💪💪😍😍😍😍😍💕💕💕💕
Yeah dude 😎
Pop got a new 1986 superliner Mack with 350 9 speed we used it for years and years hauling logs.. was a great truck I drove it a little but I mostly worked in the woods running a skidder or really whatever needed doing..lol
That's really cool, love those SuperDogs!
Nothing finer than a Superliner!
Happy Easter to you and your family. Keep up the great videos.
Happy Easter 🐇
Love the old Mack! The engine sounds a lot like an old Scania 6-cyl and the gear box is similar too, a 5 speed with hi/lo-split. I read that Scania helped Mack develope their direct injection engines in the 50´s. In return Scania got a licence to copy Macks buses too sell in Sweden. Kind of cool that you still can see some similarities 30 years later.
Oh wow that's really interesting! I'm looking forward to seeing some Scania's in the UK this Summer.
That truck is gorgeous!!!!!
I think i like the original stacks on the western star. I guess i just like some curves. Thanks for the video mike.
I did too but that truck definitely has grown on me looks wise
Thanks for that video Mike! Had the privilege of spending Easter with family ,and fun video to bring the to an end! Thanks!
Thank you Gerald
The old Mack Superliner is a classic and the most sought-after Mack ever!! What I notice Mike is Seeing you drive it every time your KW is in the shop tells me it's the most reliable too!!
It's the most reliable truck in our fleet.
Those Mack’s are simple, easy to work on and still make their owners money!
You make that old Mack look like a show truck, every time you drive it. Nice to see that! Great video Mike, thanks.
It's an illusion. 😋
@@TheBostonTrucker But a good one!!
The super dog will still be going when that W9 is dead and gone
Absolutely 💯
Wouldn't be a boston truck without pinstriping and gold leaf! Love seeing them all done up like that
Very true.
Nice video BT. Enjoy all your truck detailing tips and tricks
Makes me happy to hear that.
This is a real truck. Love the styling, inside and out and I also really like the fact it's a day cab
Thank you
Really enjoyed the video and that mop and glow idea fantastic been trucking dirt since 1985 and never even knew about that keep up the good work Buddy
Thank you Sean
Killer video BT 👍, loving the Mack action, slick Skillz!!
Then I sold my Mack and bought a 85 auto car tri axle had for about 6 months and ended up having a bad injector sold it and lost a lot of money ended up buying a 78 Mack 10 wheeler with only 100,000 miles truck had 58 rears truck was really nice
Some nice old iron
You got the best of both worlds Mike. Superliner and W9. Cannot go wrong with either one.
I'm blessed.
@@TheBostonTrucker yes you are. So am I. 😎🙏
Mop & Glo. I learned a new trick today. Thanks Boston Trucker!!!
It's my pleasure 😊
Old trucks are definitely where its at, nice rig!!
I agree 💯
Happy Easter Mike thanks for the tip
Thanks Dan
Yes sir. Good stuff!!!
Thank you, from the UK 👍
Getting closer to my trip there.
That's one incredible truck, Sir! 👍
Love that mack! 1st truck I drove was a 61 b model, you know you do a days work in that cab! Thanks for the videos, keep em' coming!
You definitely earned your money back then.
Happy Easter Mike! Very cool video, I like the in-cab shots. Our old 12 spds had a separate stick for lo-lo. I usually only used it on the jobsite but I was never grossing 99,000. We could almost feel the difference in acceleration between the Mack and the KW. I've gone back to work a little bit, sometimes in an R Model...good times! (just an 8 spd tho) This thing is an ex-snow plow truck, weird combination. Rears are on air but the front springs are HUGE...so my knee is always hitting the heater box as the truck beats me up😂
I'd like to try it with the extra stick. I've tried the switch on the dash twice and just made a fool out myself.
Love all your videos. God bless you .
Thank you so much! You too!❤️
One of the best vids yet!
Really? Thank you so much.
Absolutely right Mack🤙
Nothing finer then a super liner 😍 dream truck
What about a 359'er? 😉
@@TheBostonTrucker oh ya I mean there’s not to many of this old trucks I don’t want they are all beautiful in there own way

Great looking Mack you got there 🙂
Thank you
Great video Mike..... Spent a lot of time driving a 12 speed Superliner, camelback suspension.... air throttle .... deep reduction on the stick.... loved that hood shot too, great job.
Thanks Wilson
Mike you done taught me something with the Mop & Glo! Wow. Might need to try that one sometime. Great video as always, and I loved seeing the Superliner in action. I learned to back and shift in a couple of old CH600s a few years ago. Tough old trucks the likes of which we may never see again.
Thanks Lyndon, it really works!
Nice job mike.. Always like a super dog video… It has been a busy start to the year in aggregate business..
Thanks for the video.👍👍
Thank you Mark
Like #934. Uhh....I love the whine of the transmission. Brings me back to my youth when i drove a Rd600 w/a 350 anda 2 stick. Mack engines pull hard in hills.
I love the sounds of the trucks from childhood.
Thanks for the shift pattern talk. Mop N Glo. Will have to try that on the tires of my plastic.
Thanks Hammer
Love the old Mack's 💯👍🇺🇸I have a 1970 u600 237gold/5speed dump thing runs like a top. happy Easter Boston trucker!
I'd love to see that!
I love that super liner!!!
Thank you 😌
Beautiful ride my friend ! Pittsburgh,Pa cdl driver here ! 😎
Thank you Pittsburgh 😌
Happy Easter Mike , keep up the great videos ,,, saw you earlier in the week in the Superliner
Thanks Lenny
Hey BostonTrucker..."Doggone it, what a 'Super' video!!" As you say, "can't beat it". Love those special camera angles...along that deep flat hood, from the righthand fender, and -- of course -- over your shoulder runnin' thru those "low" and "direct" gears. A great reprise of your original Mack 12-speed video that "sets the bar" (nice an' high)!! Thanks, Mike...
Thank you very much my friend, means a lot.
My favorite all around engine was the e6 350 horse mack! Ran 2 altra liners and could run with most 400 Cummins on a 3rd less fuel!
What's not to love about the Super Dog...Square nose with Bulldog Mack on top, spoke drive hubs, and the Mack 12 speed!! Love it!!! Happy Easter Mike!!!
Awesome video Happy Easter
Thanks Karl
My favorite trucker from Boston!
Thank you so much 🥰
YEP THE TRUE OUTLAW TRUCKER! SUP DRIV'AH? HAPPY EASTER TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY MIKE.🐰

Happy Easter Mike!🇺🇸
Same to you.
Mike Happy Passover great video 🥰
Matzo ball soup every night! 😋 Same to you.
I cut my trucking teeth running gravel from Raymond, NH to Wakefield and Burlington, MA for the Schelzi family (Wakefield Ready Mix, Burlington Sand and Gravel, Wakefield Development, etc. Back and forth on I-93 in a 1977 R model with a 300 motor and 5 speed trans at 103,000 lbs. You learn a lot that way! I’ve seen Cardillo trucks around, I’m sure
Now I’m OTR hauling a reefer but I’ve done about everything else except tank.
Great to see the old stomping grounds, love the Super Puppy!. Stay safe, I’ll be watching!
Thanks for checking in and sharing your experiences. A 300 & a 5, makes for a long day.
Got to love the old lap belts only 😂 my dads 77 kw900 had them and his 88 kw800 was the same too . He sold them many years ago
Once in awhile people comment how they think I'm not wearing a belt because they don't know about lap belts.
Good to see an old dog doing what it was built for.......
Happy Easter Mike great old dog.
Thanks David
i looooove that superliner!
totl splendid video!have a good day! my dear, 💪

Beautiful rig and love how when he was talking to the guy in the other truck he said come on lol just like my old man
I learned by listening to my old man talk on the radio c'mon 😉
LT Mack is my favorite with a quadraplex. Shoehorn a V-8 in it. These are good looking trucks.
Great combo ☺️
Beautiful truck.

Awesome hi 5 from Australia
Thank you down under.
The pedal on the left a thing of the past nowadays on new trucks!! Lol great video Mike love the superliner
Sad but true. Thank you Peter
Got my first superliner because I got my cabover stuck lol was 21. Cabover was fastast truck inthe fleet 350 mack cranked up. Had coffin bunk on superliner I loved it
Had so many air fresheners the lead man took it home a day said he didn't dare light a cigarette for 30 minutes after got out. Had it spotless and smelling great
don't have superliner's in the uk so nice to see them working on youtube
I don't understand why the UK don't use American trucks. I just found out Laylan trucks are paccars.
@@christianmendez8299 paccar bought out foden and DAF as well, tbh on our normal roads it's bad enough driving our short cab over's. there are a few heavy recovery firms here that have KW and international loan star wreckers. other wise most US trucks here are show trucks not working.
I'm coming to the UK in July and I'm really looking forward to see the trucks there.
@@TheBostonTrucker happy days hope you get to have ago in a volvo FH then you'll see the difference between European and US versions. depending on what your doing you would be more than welcome to come and have ago in my 1942 Diamond T 980 if you fancy a experience.

I understand how difficult it is in Europe for the truckers to get around driving cabover trucks on streets and cities.
Nice truck my friend, keep on truckin!
Thanks, will do!
👍🇺🇸great job on your videos.
Thank you ☺️
Our just restored 83 R model,it has the same powertrain. But the deal reduction is on a second stick, not a switch. Heimlich won't work the R model, but I'll bring it to shows. Especially the gear jammer show. And as far as the mack,,'s. Yes their Volvo own, before that it was Renault. Mack was always owned by someone else. Kenworth, Peterbilt are in the same family. And with the MX engine, a European design engine. International is particularly owned by Volkswagen. Freightliner, Western Star are part of Daimler. So I'm ok with a outside ownership.
I need to come by sometime, do you think they'd let me make a video?
That accent is stronger than my coffee in the morning
Accent? 🤣
Awesome driving video! Little man is turning into a Mack guy I think! Keep it up!
I'll never admit to that! 🤭
