Finally a DC5 rev video in nice quality
I installed this setup last week and sounds exactly like this video so I'm very pleased since I was going for this. I fit it with stock sway bar on an 04 type s with adjustable brackets provided by skunk2 and have no problems with clearance or rattling. Now I just need kpro and a good tune + Dyno.

yup it's official.. I'm going with this setup for my 06 dc5 type s.. k-tuned 3"cat back with skunk2 alpha header with cat delete.. almost sounds like a triple rotary with full exhaust in the upper range..

When you say cat delete, do you just mean having no cat?
Ernesto can you list me what you had on this? Want that deep growl as yours. Already got the exhaust and headers on the list , but tbh, this car sounds nice.
Ernesto How does this compare to the Skunk2 Megapower RR? Darien posted a video of both and it sounds like the Skunk2 is a lot deeper. I currently have a Skunk2 Megapower RR catback still in the box. I have buyer's remorse and want the K-Tuned 3" one instead. I have a buyer lined up to buy the Skunk2 from me. Just trying to get opinions before I commit to either selling it or installing it. Any thoughts?

I have the sunk2 alpha header and 3 inch ktuned exhaust. Usually with the skunk2s you need to get an em2 sway bar from a civic. It depends on which header you get from skunk2 or known as junk2 ( for reasons) if you have clearance on the left side i belive the saw bar works. I have issues on the right side so ill need to get adjustable sway bar links and use stock sway bar. Exhaust is not to drone like while highway driving. Can easily daily. I recommend that pair for any rsx if you're fine with the fitment issues. Car sounds a lot better in this video though 👌

what camera/mic do you use? your setup captures the exhaust note so realistically

Alejandro Almodovar circuit hero short shifter at the time, now I've switched over to a full hybrid racing shifter
Is there a specific reason you chose that over the Ktuned billet shifter?
Clutch Kick Zenki My friends luckily had both of them, I tried em both out and the hybrid felt tighter and stiffer which I liked. The ktuned while it felt good when shifting, it had more play in the shifter than the hybrid. I went for the feel over the look, but everyone that has driven my car falls in love with the shifter and how precise it is. It's the gift that keeps on giving, one of the best mods I ever did

Any drone from this exhaust and does it hand low? I have a problem with my hks ji power turbocattback sitting to low and hitting everything.
It doesnt hang low fitment it good.. But if u pair 3 inch with a rh prepare to lose your hearing.. Its ridiculously loud and droney.. Gets old real quick if u daily the car.

Fits perfectly for me, don't hit sway or anything. Only issue is hard to get it on with the mugen lip I have
Why does black smoke shoot out at full throttle? Mine does the same I think it's cause I'm untuned
Floor it and car doesn't burn the fuel fast enough, so kinda run rich for a sec is my guess. Basically unburnt fuel.

Mario DelGrosso Na, skunk2 alpha is what I had. Ive heard it with a ktuned header though, a lot quieter because the ktuned header sounds fairly quiet.

Sinxai Yang ktuned is a full cat back exhaust so yes, paired with a skunk2 alpha header tho

I have this same set up and it honestly sounds like shit in person. Idk what is different other than mines an 06. I also have an rbc manifold but i doubt that changes anything.

The header makes a big difference in sound. Mine always sounded great to me 🤷🏽♂️

Stock motor yea, probably the big 3.5 inch intake and velocity stack make the engine a good deal louder than normal.

Oh goodness... Another buddy of mine used to have the spec 2. One day he got an obx race header installed and it was insanely loud.

That's still pretty far from the Rev limiter, more of a built in launch limiter so u can launch from 8k n destroy your tranny. It's adjustable with engine management

@@ihateliberals518 .. There is really little point to 2-step an NA car of this power. If you cant launch around 4k without 2step in an rsx u cant drive lol.. I mean yeah, it can make things a bit easier, but if u racing the car, why u want things easier? Go buy an automatic lol.. Takes a little skill to launch good and consistently without 2 step
