This doesn’t spell the end of Gaudreau and Laine, it spells the end of Jaro and Vincent.
He had a deal in Calgary. It paid him $15 million more than the one in Columbus. He shook hands on the deal and said he was going for a drive with his wife before he signed it. He came back in tears and said he could not sign the deal. The problem is Yoko.
The problem is he is a cuckhold without a spine. Be a man.
Looks like "The Calgary Media Pressure" Had Johnny being accountable and playing good?
I have looked at the Jackets, big picture. If you want a place to drink a beer and cheer when a goal is scored, the Jackets are good enough. If you want to win a Stanley Cup, or have any chance thereof, then the Jackets are a losing proposition. The problem began at their inception over 20 years ago. They did not have a winning season for 10 years. The reputation was signed and sealed. Unlike Boston, Vegas or a Florida city, Columbus is a pleasant but generally a ho-hum city. Blue Jacket free agents generally leave to play elsewhere, outside free agents rarely come. It appears that those who do come, come for the wrong reasons. Either to get playing time, or to play in a less stressful, less competitive environment. Nothing there leads to a Stanley Cup. Buffalo and Ottawa have similar problems.
He was the same in Calgary big moments in games or playoffs he disappeared.
Ya, that OT winner in game 7 against Dallas didn't happen.
Goudreau ain't playing good... but that's what happens when u get a new coach during training camp!! All the summer prep was slashed due to the whole Babcock situation!! Last team to loose their coach during training camp was Colorado... and they had a 48 points season!! This one's primarily on management for me!! And he's barely 4 points out of being the best scorer of the team... and that says a lot!!
my question is, what would have happened if he came to the flyers? He's from a town right near Philadelphia and I'm not sure how it would have played out if he came to philly. As a flyers fan myself I would have loved to have him and it's a shame seeing his decline like this.
He will end up in Kensington even he plays for kings
He’d make a fairly good pair with Couturier, but I think he’d be even better in NJ.. Maybe a Meier/Gaudreau trade would work? I think Laine should be in Vancouver or Florida.
As a Devil’s fan, I was initially pretty upset when Gaudreau *initially* posed as though he would sign here, only to abruptly change course. Now, I feel like the Hockey Gods, smiled upon the (then) lowly Devils, and saved us from further disappointment…..
I feel your pain he really should've signed to us
I felt this
Lol “after that humiliating defeat in your own arena eating your owns words you are..”
@@ismayil9047 Like, I would actually WANT Gaudreau? HAHAHAHAAA……
As a devils fan who lives in Canada, u was ecstatic when he chose elsewhere. I was dumbfounded he didn't but couldn't of been happier hahah
Jackets never learn to avoid these high-priced players just because they suddenly become available. Drafting Nash 1st overall was one thing but remind me which star players on other teams have gone to Columbus and really succeeded?
Laine's been OK but nothing like he was in Manitoba. Seth Jones did well but was traded from Nashville before becoming someone the Hawks thought was worth 9.5 trillion a year. Gaudreau has flopped in Ohio despite leading them in points last year.
Still love Johnny Hockey. We all know he’s capable of doing better than he has been. Hope the coach can unlock his greatness
The Management are all Drinking Buddies and don't have a Clue how to Train Players from Any Country.
Yes, I think it's good for the game when talented players like this rediscover their greatness.
Everyone knows why Johnnie Hockey picked Columbus, Its Was the Zoo !!
When your wife is making the decisions for your career then it will not go well. Not sad to see this happen.
It’s hockey I played with Gaudreau. Hockey is like that sometimes
It’s called karma, Johnny. I don’t feel bad for him one bit
It's closer to home! 🤣
Columbus should hire jay woodcroft and Manson. The GM screwed them with babcock and not having a good replacement.
The difference between the Yotes and the CBJ is that the Yotes management have a vision, make intelligent moves, find the right players to fit their system, have an identity and have no overpaid egos. Jarmo and JD need to go.
Owners should stop handing out long term contracts. Let the players earn their keep on an annual or bi-annual basis.
That would ruin all the amazing deals in the league. Like Jack hughes
I always thought he was way over rated , i think he ate his own bull s..... ,
They must have a pretty good prospect pool. Apparently they want Macklin too
I guess it shouldn't be too big of a surprise, is winning that important to Gaudreau? Even though he said he went to Columbus to win games, we all know how much weight he puts on words. For someone to willingly move from a cup contender to a bottom feeder and one of the best lines in the league, tells me winning is low priority.
when interviewed after the draft, lainie said he thought he was better than matthews and should have gone first over all.
HahA! Did he say it with a straight face, or was he drunk at the time? Lainie might be better than Matthews at everything...except hockey.
Elvis soon will ask out.
He is making his millions and living closer to his family. I am pretty sure he isnt too unhappy.
His wife is happy. Thats all that matters.
6:19 I don't know about all that fancy Nancy stuff but The classic way of doing this You take how much he's getting paid and divide it by the points (or goal depending on how much of an obnoxious fan you are, 1st hand experience here 😉) he produces and then you hang it above his head on social media, preferably in this case on the Columbus Blue Jackets official facebook, Instagram or CZcams accounts. Hey and if you're going to the game you can scream it from the nose bleeds and/or make a sign pointing out "HEY JOHNNY HOCKEY!! 2.5 million a goal??? BOONE'S GONNA WANT A RAISE!!!"
When players change so quickly there is something going on! I feel they aren’t happy. Time to change the management. The team hasn’t been doing well under the same management with different players coming and going. Clean house with management and see if things change!!
He doesn’t care would you ! Over 9 million this year think about it.
I still beivie that they sould have a base rate .then work on bonce pay goals assists just saying
He's just freaking, just like Jeff Skinner did
Relax
Real good players will have ups and downs, as far as hitting, there's no more hitting in the NHL, back in the day many of these " stars" wouldn't have even made the NHL, back then there were amazing players never drafted because they were 5'8" 140 lbs,
Hear me out though…. Huberdeau for Gaudreau lmao
Johnny hockey was roughed up hard several years ago in the playoffs. He's terrified of getting hit and teams know it.
The Devils lucked out not getting him. We got Timo & Tefoly instead. Once all healthy, look out.
Trade Johnny to Calgary for Huberdeau
Imagine if Calgary had bit the bullet and traded MT for picks and prospects how much better off they would be. When your two best players leave it is time to rebuild. Not sign aging Veterans to anchor contracts to replace the guys leaving. Something our Canucks should have done post Sedins.
Also trading a First with Sean Monahan (17 GP 13 PTs) didn’t turn out the best for them, especially if they do want to rebuild.
Johnny Rocky.
Or Johhny Goodbye.
He got married
I always thought Johnny Hockey sucked.
This was definitly the dumbest move Johnny could have made.
play team defense first?
Huberdeau is better than Gaudreau.
Johnny will adjust and have his usual 80 point season
no chance. he's a wuss
BOOOOOO13
As a CBJ fan, our biggest problem is goalie why don't we trade for Saros or John Gibson for Patrik Laine?
Patrick Laine is worth a 2nd round pick at this point, not a starter 😂😂😂😂😂
@@sublimedhaze7792 He has scored 111 points in his last 119 games and you think he is worth a 2:nd? lol go home, you are drunk.
Bet he regrets leaving Calgary now even since he left he’s fallen off
Um have you seen what’s happening in Calgary? He’d prob be just as bad lol
@@vinny1537We lost two 100 point players, one of whom is a top 5 in the league, as well as having our new “100” point player have the biggest fall off in NHL history. We didn’t ask for any of it.
Gaudreau had full control over his situation lmao
His women tells him what to do .😂
He's is a washed up players during Florida years mistakes teams gave him first round picked He's just a cow
