    I'm sure when Rutherford first chatted with Aquaman about coming out of retirement to turn the Canucks around, I'm sure the first condition was to keep ownership out of the daily operations. Rutherford has proven himself time and time again as a top executive and his actions in Vancouver have reflected that, especially entrusting Allvin to look after things. Rutherford was involved in the press conferences for the first year, but as Allvin's confidence grew, he's really blossomed as one of the top GM's in the league, and most certainly in the discussion as the top GM in Canuck's history. I've been watching this team since year one and I've never felt so confident about the promising future.

    Agreed JR and Allvin are awesome. The team has totally evolved thanks to the staff.

    Knowing that they will play him in the NHL if they think he’s ready is making the fight for spots on the roster much more interesting

      I think they didnt want to be stuck like last year when we had people who were useless on the ice and we had no one to change them with so we got stuck with using them

    The Rutherford / Allvin regime has also provided peace of mind to the ownership. We haven't heard a peep regarding Aquilini micromanaging the management.

    Tbh I'm glad they didn't overpay for lindholm. They wouldn't have been able to afford all the depth and boser extension

      We did overpay for lindholm. Gave up way too much

      @PollosHermanos1 2 prospects that didn't want to sign in van and picks that any team that's contending would give up. Sounds about right

      @@omfg322 Five picks and players,including a first rounder,a 39 NHL goal scorer and the CHL's top scoring d-man is not "about right". This was a year in which the Canucks could barely outscore their opponents and that was evident when Kuzy left and Petey went on his drought. When Petey and Huggy are 27/28 is the years in which the Canucks should go all in. Mortgaging the future for a few playoff games shows that Allvin/Rutherford are not much different from Gillis.

      @omfg322 Před 26 dny

      @roundnround365 petty playing on one knee and having 4th line players as his line mates it's no wonder he couldn't score. If mikheyev capitalized on a fraction of the opportunities given to him petty would have 100 points easy. Kuzmenko didn't want to adapt so he got traded. 2 prospects didn't want to sign in van so trading them is better than losing them for nothing. Contending teams trade picks to help win now it's how hockey works since the salary cap era and considering lindholms line of him joshua and garland + boeser won us the nashvile series to give the team valuable playoff experince, the trade was 100% worth it

    Benning was an idiot but it really helps that Aquilini is hands-off now.
