- The AVA Movement's Joe Thueson is joined by longtime AVA Producer and current Blink 182 Co-Producer, Engineer, and Co-Writer Aaron Rubin. They take a deep dive into the new album, “One More Time” and discuss some of the Angels and Airwaves projects that are still in the works.
Unreal news about the AvA live album. Fingers crossed we don't have to wait long.
Such a tease!!
Yo this is an enormous scoop. There's a brand new, fully mixed and mastered live album just ready to go?! Holy shit dude. Aaron just threw that out there! Great interview. Thanks for going in-depth
Between that and hearing there was talk of a BCR tour had me dying lol
@@jthuesonTTSBcr tour would've been great.
I wasn't really paying attention and thought he was talking about a Blink live album. I'd be so much more excited about an AVA live album.
Aaron is back! last time the Lifeforms interview was awesome! this is gonna be dope!
🙌🤘
aaron fucking rules
It does go back and forth with the word Turpentine. When he sings “I’ll clean myself with turpentine” and uses the right pronunciation. It’s such a great tune!!
Great interview, super insightful 🤘
Thank you! 😅
Occom's razor is the simplest explanation is the most likely one.
Awesome interview and questions!
Thank you! 🙏
so now we know we have to blame peter for the documentary not being here.
mmmhmmm...
Personally I think your questions were spot on. Aaron really took in your questions and thought about his answers, but I feel like you sat with him well and discussed great topics, I.e. MGK, Yungblud, Travis producing etc! Definitely asked questions I wanted to know answers to
Thank you so much!!
Funny how Edging was the first single & unwillingly the album got delayed, & they kept us EDGING for a year for the next singles :'D Love it!!! Label probably had a hence their could be A DELAYED RELEASE (album) hahaha 😛
haha great point!!!
Great interview! You asked great questions!
Thank you!!🙏
@@jthuesonTTS Yeah man! One thing I would have loved for him to address (but it might be kind of an awkward question to ask) is why there were more of Tom’s songs on the album than Mark’s, as well as why Tom was featured more prominently as a vocalist. I feel like that’s been the case ever since the untitled album, whereas before that album it was much more of an even split. I’ve always wondered about why that changed. I’m a huge fan of both Tom and Mark but I liked it better when they both sang and wrote an equal amount of songs. Anyway, great stuff!
how does one have aa channel like this but not know when box car came out lol
Making me second guess on the spot 😅😅
Great to hear about the AVA live album, but what about blink from this tour? Mark Tom and Travis show pt 2??
Let's hope!!!
Joe- GREAT questions on behalf of the community! Aaron- thanks for being so open and insightful! LOVE IT.
wondering.... it sounds like the BCR Tour/EP idea was largely considered around the 15 ANNIVERSARY which is early 2017. Even if considered AFTER the 15th Anni passed by, into 2018, this is the same timeframe (2016-2018) that Tom self-admittedly, was the most checked out of doing music and was saying he'd never play live again. Then in early 2019 is the first signs of writing the first new AVA song that went on to be Rebel Girl.
So, do you think the BCR idea was actually much later than remember to be? Or that Tom was never really AS checked out of music in that year as it had sounded like? (althou he's stated so numerious times)
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
does anyone has a link to that reference track when they are talking about AP3?
I have the same feedback to give you as your interview with Aaron from 2 years ago.
Stop saying “yeah, uh-huh, got ya, sure, interesting…” every time Aaron says something. You don’t have to keep saying things to fill the silence. He knows you’re there. He knows you’re listening. Nod your head if you have to, you’re on camera after all. Just let the man speak and then say something if you have anything decent to contribute.
Good interview nonetheless. Well done! Try take the feedback on board. You can only get better.
Definitely tried to do less of that in this interview. However, it is a double edged sword. I've had other interviews with not as many verbal queues and people thought I was bored lol. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Just a fellow fan trying to get some fun content out for others. Thanks for watching! 🙏
about the live album it's about AvA or blink ?
AVA
“Nick who?!”
does he know that everyones up in arms about the poor production?
By everyone you mean the loud minority? I don't think he cares
Production is great
@@haro657production in terms of the mix is unbelievably shit at times
My god please stop interrupting your guests. They didn't come on here to let you yap "yeah uh yeah yep" let them finish their thought!!
This dude is the actual AvA Movement. He’s not going to interview Jars Lolrich most likely, so you don’t have to worry about ever returning to this channel ever again. He’s doing his best with what god gave him.
Love how you just keep interupting Aaron. Same thing happened in the other interview you did with him for Lifeforms
to be fair, a Zoom interview has like a 1 second delay so its hard to keep a convo fluent without seeming like ur interrupting
It's an hour and 15 min conversation unedited in one take. It's extremely hard to never start talking at the same time lol. We may have started talking at the same time, but he was never interrupted.
