I mean, there better be. Sure, the Guitar Hero-style song boards and Punch-Out-esque boss fights are cool looking, but I’d like to explore more into those minigames too. Rhythm Heaven, or Rhythm Paradise, was the first rhythm game I properly played, so there’s also an element of nostalgia in those.
Started looking like a traditional rhythm game, then I saw that those were monsters getting hurt and pushed back, and then rhythm heaven style mini-game? YES!
Reminds me of Circle of Pain but Necrodancer DDR style with rhythm heaven mini games

I can't get over how COOL all of the characters look. Not to mention that the gameplay in the first part looks especially interesting, definitely looking forward to this

the art, music, and gameplay in this one genuinely looks incredible, ive watched this trailer 10 times in the past hour since finding out and i cannot WAIT for more news! (and thank you to whoever did that nocturna art for my entire life)
at first I was thinking "but I want more of the roguelike" but then I remembered there's a dlc that just came out I'm trying to get friends to play with me so in that case it's exciting that they are branching out

I'm loving Cadence's new outfit, and looking forward to what all the minigames will be.
This looks so different from usual Brace Yourself Games games, but somehow it feels so on-brand. I love the variety here already, and I can't wait to see what new jams Danny Baranowsky brings to the table!

No. Freaking. WAY!!! I LOVED the original game and Cadence of Hyrule so much, and not only is there a new game in the same universe, there seems to be rhythm heaven styled minigames. And I've just recently got into that series!
I'm awful at rythm games, and rythm in general, I could never get far in NecroDancer and honestly I don't care, I don't regret buying it, I still listen to the OST every so often and the game is so well made I'm happy to support it. I'm sure I'll be awful at this game too but you can bet it'll be in my library when it comes out. I'll be happy to support people doing creative things with these genres.
I find Rhythm Heaven significantly easier for me than Crypt of the Necrodancer, and this new game looks similar. You might be good at it!
I also find more traditional roguelikes to be easier than Crypt.
It's just the combination of the two that's pretty hard for me.
That new version of disco descent is absolutely amazing.
GOD that opening instrument right before "You haven't forgotten about me, have you?" goes deliciously hard.
Also the voice acting is wonderful, I love having that in small bits in games. Additionally, the fact that it looks like you only need the arrow keys to play means people will be able to DDR the whole game again!
I like how Dove is featured much more prominently here. And... She seems to have more edge to her!

I love that this mixes together multiple different rhythm games as well as a non-rhythm game. Animations are pretty great as well.

I haven’t been able to get into the two previous Necrodancer games (wonderfully designed games, but roguelikes just aren’t my thing), but I am always looking forward to another entry in this series because I know it means we’ll get another absolute banger of a soundtrack out of it!

It's feels like the new fiona and cake series, except that Cadance isn't a deppressed adult!... and doesn't have any pets... but still, i bet It's going to be awesome.
