It’s not even just about sex in terms of the most simplistic way of viewing them, by their gender as singers; it just wouldn’t make sense as MJ and Beyonce are both monumental singers, but one, their styles are completely different, and two they don’t have the same type of attractiveness. They almost have the same level of attraction, MJ is obviously much more of a legend tho (i say obviously because this titling argument wouldn’t have grounds if he wasn’t; the question is if someone is as great as him, using him and his career as the pedestal or finishing line or magnum opus; he’s the former and you’re arguing for his predecessor). But that isn’t enough to allow her to be bestowed with his level of title. She can’t be the King of Pop, she’s closer to the Queen of RnB, closer to claiming what was bestowed upon Whitney.

Nobody now is capturing the masses like MJ did. This guy was loved around the world BEFORE the internet was a big thing. Nobody can match that now because the top artists, are competing with other top artists. MJ had no competition as far as fame.
one dude who i can comfortably say was better than mj at capturing masses was pele, i rememeber my grandma who lived in bolivia at the time hearing about pele, and that was sooo long ago that its wild how word travelled.
One thing about those times is that people's attention wasn't nearly as oversaturated as it is now. And celebrities had more mystique about them due to less accessibility - there was no social media presence - hence people's longing for an artist they loved was more insatiable.

Are you talking bubble gum pop or just the most famous artist in any genre? MJ sang, danced and wrote his own songs. Now some may sing or dance but they don’t make their own songs. It’s rare in this tik tok era to find an authentic mainstream artist who does all 3. Chris Brown checks every box as an artist but his personal antics overshadow his talent for a lot of people.

I'd say at this point, The Weeknd is by far the most well known nowadays in the generation that is really listening to the music, for candidates for the modern MJ. But I dont think anyone can ever do what MJ did and they shouldnt have to. All of these artists carve out their own fanbases, styles, and personalities in music. So nobody could ever make the music that MJ did, and thats a good thing. Popularity wise nowadays, The Weeknd is by far the largest artist tho

Besides the good funny content they post every now and then they’ll have these talks about life and overcoming the negatives in your life. That’s what I appreciate the most. Like in this video they talk about stop worrying about what others think about you, they’re just living in their own world. Sometimes I’m just so lost in my thoughts I’m confused and don’t know what to do but seeing their videos and having their input in the world gives me a different perspective and just to take it easy.

chris is by far the michael jackson of this generation. hes had major hits every year since 2005. no other artist from 2005 is still really relevant. his shows are amazing the work he puts into the chorography at the shows is my blowing. jb is a mega star but his dancing skills are know where near as good as chris. just watch the most recent michael jackson tribute chris did. when the breezy album dropped rhino posted on his story that chris was the michael Jackson of this generation kinda weird he switched up.

I really don't think people comprehend the greatness of MJ. 05' was only 18 years ago, MJ was creating hits for multiple DECADES. Child star since the 70's, then breaks out in the 80's and continues to the 90's and 00's. Chris is extremely talented skill wise, but in terms of star power he isn't anywhere close to MJ.

I've been watching JulienHimself Videos for quite some time now and my two cents about that clip would be that his aim was to trigger feelings inside the dude by putting him on the spot, after that he explains how he can let go of the triggers and "free yourself" from social conditioning. side note, he explicitly mentions that the aim of these isn't to be able to go and scream around but only have the full range of expression inside onesself to free yourself.
